Do you reckon that they use an Octave pedal on this track to give the guitars a deeper tone? I realise the bass guitar is a lot more prominent in this album so that maybe why. I know they use an octave pedal in Waffle. great vids mate :D
They definitely do for anything that's played with single notes because chords sound crappy with an octave pedal going. They have it set for the low octave which ends up putting the guitar in bass frequency territory which is also why the bass is so prominent on this album because the guitars are giving it a little extra boost. I just did Headtrip where it's really obvious and the octave pedal sounds really good with songs like Waffle and Licking Cream. On the newer albums, they do the opposite and have the pedal set to the high octave instead for songs like Picture Perfect and Dark AM. Really interesting uses for the pedal and I'm quickly learning it's a huge part of their sound.
