As a producer on things like X-Men, X2, Blade, Spider-Man, Spidey 2, all those films that everyone loves, there wouldn't have been someone at Marvel turning to Feige and saying "What do you think, think there's something we could do in-house on our own?" Cast the lizard guy and include his family just like joss whedon include a random family in justice league for the flash to save them. Bring back detective muligan and his symbiote just to do nothing and die instantly, and a singing scene then another dancing scene? Seriously?
There's been one undebatable summer hit, a few films struggling to make their money back, a bunch of low budget movies that don't matter, and a large number of complete flops. I see no reason to return to the theaters. Actually, scifi/fantasy books have become much more entertaining than movies, but Hollywood won't risk making movies based on current books. They stick with 80 year old comic books. Insanity. The newest scifi book I recall a movie was made about was a badly written mess called "Star Wars". I don't have to tell you how THAT went!

just watched this. Very dark and hard to see lots of the action in my cinema. The bit in the combi van went on for too long and the weird dance sequence made no sense considering that venom knew how important it was to NOT show up. This script is very bad. Tom Hardy.... is he really in any other sort of movies? I just think he lucked out into this franchise as he's not a star in anything else really. I think the third act was fun if I could see what was happening. A lot of it was just sort of nonsensical action.. I'll watch another.
Did Rhys Ifans sign a Sony contract back when he did TASM 1 and then they are just making him appear in these movies whether or not he plays the Lizard?
Bit of a telling sign when the sub-title for this sequel isn't even original. Magic Mike already had his last dance, it's too soon to use the same words for your trilogy concluder.
If anything, what annoys me about these films is that the threat is always the same mirror match. Much of the Spider-Man lack of complaints at least come from there being something different between their two styles, but Venom just going against a bigger version of himself with the same weaknesses is always gonna be boring at the end of it. These films are so lucky they have managed to hit the mark of the non-demanding audience that other lackluster films of it's elk cannot. It's like crediting Paul W S Anderson for the recent decent videogame films 💀
But audiences did far more damage by creating the market for this juvenile crap in the first place, and now it dominates the theater.
I was disappointed with part 2 so I wasn't planning to see this in theaters. But for some reason my wife is kinda pumped for it and I find that cute so I guess I'm seeing this after all.
Oh wow Dan is in overlook hotel
Just saw it and i was so dissappinted, another madame web situation? Whats the point of including knull in the trailer? Cast the lizard guy and include his family just like joss whedon include a random family in justice league for the flash to save them. Bring back detective muligan and his symbiote just to do nothing and die instantly, and a singing scene then another dancing scene? Seriously?
5 hours, thanks for doing this for us, your viewers
Dan when discribing the big villian you just discribed Thanos from how many of the MCU movies
I have a feeling this won't be for me. 2 hours of Tom Hardy playing with himself
Thank you, Dan. I’ll be seeing Conclave Thursday night instead of this third Venom movie.
Yes! Revive the old Hope and Crosby “Road to…” movies but with Eddie and Venom!
I didn’t like the first movie & flat out hated the second one. This is a Stay Away for me. This weekend I plan to see Conclave. & I’m probably going to see Smile 2 for a second time
Are you talking about the cockroach end credit scene? Bro that was perhaps more important than the mid credit scene. Pretty much follows up on a big question regarding the Venom symbiote after his final fight.
I forgot it in T Minus One Minute.....
Holy shit 5 hours I wouldn't drive that far if I got to see it 6 weeks early
"Venom: The Last Dance" --> "Venom x Dan: The Road Trip"!
Thanks for the video Dan!
I only waited a day I was just happy to see Venom and Tom Hardy, so funny and pleased not asking for much so a end to his story but there is are other venom out there.
Imagine if it was a road trip movie of Eddie Brock and Dr. Connors, both rehabilitated and trying to suppress their darker halves, but then being targeted by a biker gang that they piss off that weirdly has advanced weapons
Dan I love you more than any here, youre the ONLY youtube channel I recommended, and I rarely disagree with you (I had your exact thoughts on Loki S2, if some miracle ending doesn't save this, its not worth it,), but yeah, you liking Venom, I couldnt understand. The accent he is doing is so weird (I'm from SF), tired mirror antagonist, no jokes worked for me.
I'm going tomorrow see in IMAX
The Venom movies are rubbish but Tom Hardy is great in them which has been pretty much the only reason I've watched them. So I will definitely see this one but probably not in the theatre.
Avi Arad is the ultimate villain to the spiderman SPUM universe
Sounds like The King in Black is as big of a non-entity in the movie as he is in the comics
Now hopefully we can get a real portrayal of venom in a movie.
I actually want solo villain movies from sony... BUT WITH GOOD WRITING
3:40 this cracked me up 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I've got my ticket reserved to see it in 2D after work Friday night.
I was going to go but I haven't seen Smile 2 yet and that seems like a better use of my time. I can hold out and watch this at home.
It's kinda funny to me how a Venom movie has a title, "The Last Dance" 😂
Thanks for the review and saving the money and time😅
There are plenty of disjointed movies not filmed in the strike: X-Men 3, No Time to Die.
Fun is what best describes the series and still fun curious for the 3rd. Fun review.
Spider-Man and Venom fans deserved better. I'm concerned the upcoming Holland Spider-Man film will revolve around Knull, and Knull is such a lame character.
Look one way or another, I'm still gonna watch it, these movies are the perfect fun dumb superhero movies.
Hey Dan! Do you plan to review the show The Edge of Sleep? I loved it even with its flaws and I'd be really curious to hear your thoughts on it, starting the review now!
now days I don’t even wait for post credit scene
It’s up on RUclips usually same day
Sure it’s worse quality but not gonna sit there for five min to get 10-15 second scene and sometimes it isn’t good
So Sony has now wasted Venom, Carnage, Morbius, Madame Web, Spider Woman, and Knull and are en-route to wasting Kraven and Rhino while trying to set ablaze a dumpster with Silk in it. 🤦🏾♂️
This Sony series of films is probably the worst film franchise. Even the DCEU had higher lows than this.
Avi Arad is no good; no good.
just watched this.
I mean Sony's gaming division was able to get Venom right... so there's people in that corporate structure that could do it right.
Best way to watch a bad movie is in 4DX!!! I'LL BE THERE!!! 😂🎉
Venom: The Last Movie in the Franchise..... please.
Im in the minority for actually enjoying the 2nd movie over the first one. It still wasn't great but it was memorable to me.
I mean, what did you expect? Also, they made three venom movies?!!
What’s a mid credit scene? They start showing credits the middle of the movie?
Did Rhys Ifans sign a Sony contract back when he did TASM 1 and then they are just making him appear in these movies whether or not he plays the Lizard?
The picture for this video alone was all I really needed to know but I definitely want to hear how bad the movie is. Sony is crap.
SONY fumbles the ball once again. This is what happens when you overprotect your only money maker Spider-Man.
Sounds like another spider man adjacent movie so Sony can keep the rights
SPUMM gonna SPUMM
Bit of a telling sign when the sub-title for this sequel isn't even original.
Magic Mike already had his last dance, it's too soon to use the same words for your trilogy concluder.
It's a terrible sub-title
If anything, what annoys me about these films is that the threat is always the same mirror match. Much of the Spider-Man lack of complaints at least come from there being something different between their two styles, but Venom just going against a bigger version of himself with the same weaknesses is always gonna be boring at the end of it. These films are so lucky they have managed to hit the mark of the non-demanding audience that other lackluster films of it's elk cannot. Sad that the best parts over all three films wouldn't even add up to 30 minutes combined....
I was on the fence whether to watch this or not and this sealed the deal not to watch it, thanks for the vid Dan
Maybe this will be a TV show ala What we do in the Shadows.😊
