Yes he does have meaning in (some) of his new music. I mean back then he had a ton of meaning compared to now but it's understandable because he's trying to appeal to larger audiences. Also, ofc it has far more meaning and is far better than the bs trap nowadays, but he's not the only one. He's less than 1/1000th of the artists and rappers making better music than the popular trap, it's just that mindless hype appeals to larger audiences. Kendrick is one of the few that is more popular than the shitty trap and still has good lyrics (even though he's kind of overrated)
