  • I believe he uses the -1 value because he's Blending a value of 1 when in the Not Moving State. I want to say that when that animation is playing and he's in the Not Moving State the two will cancel each other out for a value of 0 for as long as that animation needs it too be.

    Thanks for explaining! It really helps pave some ways seeing under the hood, sometimes I wonder if it’s worth sticking to ALS & change/customise it as we go or just start new! But it’s free & smooth, albeit a little confusing at first.

      I think it's best to start with it and once you wrap your head around how they do it I imagine you'll have a much easier time making your own.

      So after further investigation this node doesn't seem to do much. I know it fires 1 out of every 100 times you land a jump...I'm not sure exactly what triggers it or how helpful it is at all. I'll do a follow up video on this to explain further.

    Before i do this part i need to do that foot locking system right?

      I believe those two system's are intertwined. If I'm not mistaken I believe he specifically designed it that way so that when the feet lock he moves his feet in such a way that it looks more natural like the player is really stopping.

      @@unrealdevop in your tutorial series cant really see that nice natural legs moving to each poses, maybe because your using just third person walk anim and not using any other poses. Am i wrong, i really wanna archieve that little effect when the character change poses like from standing to rifle aiming.

      @@JDMcarXcar Yeah well like I said those systems are all tightly intertwined, you almost can't remove anything from ALS without breaking half a dozen other systems.

      @@JDMcarXcar I can try adding that dynamic transition too it and hopefully that will fix it but I won't know for sure until I give it a go.

      @@unrealdevop i saw that if you stop with right or left foot it does automatically correct. With that transition system. But i didnt see it on your series. Hope you can do a tutorial about it. I will be so good. There is none tutorial about it. Thank you!
