I really like this pen as well. I just started using it last year, and I’m hooked!

Brush markers are OK sometimes, but actual brush is far better and making it a pen hybrid is brilliant!

Hey Dan, So happy to have to discovered your awesome channel... New sub! I was curious if you've tried other inks in your Pentel Pocket Brush. I've been thinking of trying Platinum Carbon ink to refill the little empty ink tanks. Thanks for sharing your God-given gifts with us.

There are other videos on YT where that is tried. I have not experimented with it yet. But it seems like a good option.

Pentel Pocket Brush is good for the bulk of the work. But Kuretake Summi 13 is more precise and thin.

Mine finally crapped out on me after about 3 years and only using higgans black magic ink in it. I donno why now it stoped working as i would go sometimes months before I would use it again and it would just work with no hard start even. Then the other night i used it then today i went to use it and no matter what i didnt it would not flow. Guessing that just after 3 years us, it slowly clogged up. I just tried cleaning it and gonna let it dry overnight. Maybe i can get it back working as the tip still had plenty of life in it.

Wow. Most (if any) real brushes do not last that long! Please let me know how it goes after the cleaning. Thanks for sharing!

I like the pen, but the outside of my line is dry. It's like I have to go over everything twice and it dosent have alot of flow. Any ideas why so dry? Brand new pen, thanks!

    Hi!
Can you tell me which video of yours addresses thick and thin lines and where to apply them? Thank you!

Hi Maria B! I liked your question so much that I thought the answer deserved a better treatment than my previous videos give. So I have made a special video just for you! And others will benefit from it as well. :-) This new video should be up shortly! Thanks for your question!

@@danlietha4615 Wow! That's great and very generous of you! I struggle with it all the time. Some demonstrations I've seen stress using thin lines on areas further away and thick closer. But on inspection this doesn't apperar to be consistent. Confusing for me. Thanks again!

Can you use a fountain pen converter in the brush instead of the cartridges?

you can refill the cartridge with a syringe. I've been using the same brush pen for the last 3 years. 👍

I had one, but the ink flow was flowing way too much and seemed to get worse. I bought another one, seems to be better but kinda wondering what was wrong with the first one. When it works well it is awesome but when the flow is too much it is unusable. Wondering if anybody else has experienced this?

    • @danlietha4615

I've had that happen too. Somehow I suspect that too much air pressure got into the cartidge when it was pressed into the holder. I've taken it off, reattached it and have had success fixing the problem.

How do you get the ink start to flow into the brush on a new pen?

    • @a.abarker8387

hold it upside down and wait for the ink to flow into the bristles, doesnt take that long
