Currently watching you from Vegas. Flew Southwest from RDU to Vegas this morning, to be with my parents for New Years......737-800...the plane was about half-full, (Very unusual), we took off on time, arrived about 20 minutes early, flight attendants were all bubbly and happy, so were the passengers. Great flight. Great video captain. Hope you have a splendid New Year.

Love your videos! Great job capturing the Fedex A300 go around. A TOGA power go around in the A300 is an extremely sporty maneuver as is evidenced by their aggressive level off. Great job by the crew. The landing was a very normal A300 landing and it appears that low autobrakes were selected. Reversers must be neutralized by 80 knots and stowed by 60 knots. The breaks smoking is quite normal for the carbon brakes used on the Bus. That was most likely the point where the crew depressed the break pedals to override the autobrakes. The breaks on the A300 are very sensitive until they heat up.
In my unprofessional opinion, it looked like the FedEx had to lock up the brakes because the reverse thrusters shut early. Thanks for a great video once again. Happy New Years to you & the Boss!
Hey, thoughts on Southwest reimbursing the cruise ship passengers...i say no because the passengers did not have to buy non refundable tickets. That's not on Southwest that they did. I think Southwest should be liable for room, food, rental car and purchase price of ticket.
@@CaptainStevenMarkovich Yeah, trip insurance would have been the way to go, but you never know, Southwest may pick up the tab on the cruises as a good will gesture?

The cruise passengers should have booked refundable tickets. I think southwest should have refunded the cruise passengers tickets. I think the cruise and southwest should work together to comp the southwest passengers.

Spirit was rolling on the east side 1R when the FedEx called go around tower cancelled spirit who was already rolling and had to stop
@Captain I believe FedEx also did a go around after minimums! Wonder if fatigue and winds played a part in that.
