Man, I had, like, 7 people send this video to me because I am the one guy who does top tier air arcade content as his main thing. Great video, I love seeing TTAA (top tier air arcade) get some more love. So, yeah, half the fun of TTAA is that when someone dies, you basically demote them to their next-worst plane, which makes it easier to kill them. So, if you know what you’re doing and you have the right setup (generally a fast plane with a lot of firepower), you can snowball entire lobbies and kill an absolutely hilarious number of people, which is so much fun. The tricky part in all of this is that because people respawn, the people you just killed tend to want to kill you back. So if you kill enough people, you’ll have the whole lobby out hunting for you, and that is where you can bring in a whole slow of dirty tricks and creative tactics to continue killing everyone and get away with it. This is also why people can sometimes go absolutely mental over air arcade matches (particularly in rank 6). Fox 3 jets have proven to be particularly brutal at snowballing teams, but you can do it with lots of lower-tier planes. Some of the F-4 and MiG-21 variants are really good at it. HMU on the CC disc if you wanna talk in detail or squad up.
I'm new to the game but have also figured out that people tend to fly their best planes first and work down. I've been doing the opposite and I love the feeling of taking out your opponent with a 2+ rating gap knowing you're only going to get stronger when you die. Love it

a few tips : if you want faster queue times in air arcade you can set on all servers to increase the pool of players. Also if you want to do a reload of your missiles, you can set a button to throw what you have left away to reload. Even if quite rare (but to be honest, air RB has also a whole bunch of bad players), good air arcade players exists, there is some dedicated squadrons for this, especially in top tier ^^
Low tier ARB can be tough, the time it takes to fight (if no airspawns) is so long, which makes a bad game really bad due to the time wasted. But you do get to a point where AAB just doesn't give the rewards for grinding. At around tier 5-6, things start to speed up and get good :)
It's my one gripe with Arcade, everyone is so kill hungry, that a lone plane will be mobbed by half your team, meaning that they sweep you because you don't have enough people to defend the points
When I started air arcade was all I played and I HATED air realistic, but at a certain point arcade just got kinda boring and I swapped to realistic almost exclusively.
You kept your afterburner on while using flares. The missiles will lock onto your afterburner since you weren't going cold. Could've saved a death or two.
Yeah I guess when you’re in a jet and all you have to do is aim their general direction and fire from 10 miles out it’d be pretty easy to think “yeah I’m that guy” 😂
Me personally I play arcade and it’s not that bad. You get to use all your planes and still get to do all these tricks in reversals. Btw, I’m at rank 2-3
I play AAB for one specific reason: to level my planes for GRB. It's just faster for me. I usually get like 1.5-2.0 BR ahead of my planes and then I jump into AAB to work the planes back up. It's surprisingly effective!
Arcade is fun. It's hated because it's "fun" yes fun. You can obviously respawn more. In realistic if you get skill issued cuz you didn't see it, then oh well. I love AABs for the respawn if nothing else, it really sucks to spawn in a ARB match, take off, fly for 7 minutes and get smoked by a yak 3 that space climbed and dove on me. My favorite is running cap over ground RB , simple little dogfights that end fast and teach the most about maneuvering when slow and heavy, instead of it just getting energy trapped by whoever had the best climb rate
I tend to play a mix of ground and air, GR is pretty fun and not much harder than GA. AA is much more enjoyable, albeit frustrating because your teammates lack brain cells. AR is fine, but too slow for my liking
Oh I love how it goes every time in top tier arcade. I come with a full 12.7-14.0 lineup. Many others on both teams show up with one premium top tier and everything else is lower, whether a lower tier jet or biplane. It’s just funny as hell.

Lots of people start with their lower tier air craft and towards the end, bring out their F15Cs, F16s, Su-27s, etc. Usually thats when you doe a few times and may be on an F4 at the end of the battle

Arcade it's good when you are playing 1st-5th era but then when you can use missiles you are switching to realistic because for example 3.0 you don't have to wait 30 minutes to get to your enemy and waste all ammo to take him down
I feel like a lot of people play arcade from props to the first jets. I unlocked the F-80-A5 first and I played arcade with it a few times. It sucked because I wanted to fly my new and only jet, but it was easily killed by some of the more maneuverable props. I played with that for a few games until I unlocked the F2. Shortly after this I switched to realistic. I realized I could get 1 or 2 kills and get the same research points as 8 kills in arcade. I unlocked about 7 jets and then I played a couple games of arcade and then went back to realistic.
Funny video, I use to play AB when I'm tired and don't want to think much about it and just spam missiles. You can see the guy have no clue about the AB when he jumps into with only 2 aircrafts. AB is about insanity, madness, so if you have 10 jets, you queue with 10 of them. 🤣

3.0-3.7 air arcade is where it's at imo. i've been playing war thunder super casually since beta (still not good) but high tier has never appealed to me.
arcade is actually really fun, the problem is your playing at top tier where everything has missiles that are radar guided that go 15 miles on a map thats only like 30 miles long and half the maps also have no cover and everyone is moving at 700 mph+ so at that br it really is cancer

air arcade, where im, at has 2-3 people max on all battleratings at a time meaning I could leave the que running for a month and never find a match. As supposed to the 12,500 ppl that are on at 2:00am on a Monday with realistic battles where my max que timer is 1:30.

I've only ever played arcade because I always found realistic to be to slow and generally *very boring* in arcade I can be funny ace combat and destroy 12.3 with the F-4E not to mention I adore the wacky arcade maps instead of "Flat land 239". Don't get me wrong I can play realistic and I typically do alright, but I find it lame compared to Arcade.
I prefer ground RB + air AB. I tend to use air AB for simple and easy SL farming or acing an aircraft for ground RB. (Have to say though that I do fly at 4.3 atm and working on 5.3 lineup. Am also FTP for the most part and occasionally get 10 to 20 days premium account.)

Even a lot of early jets feel super slow in realistic, makes grinding for them a pain in the ass as arcade still isn't worth the rewards

The first jets are fun, but when you get missiles realistic is better. Which is about 8.3 to 9.3 with beginner missiles. 7.0-8.0 are the fun jets.

I really only play Air Sim anymore, definitely difficult but I could see the brainless woosh missile go boom joy from this.

Early game it's fun, once missiles become a thing for certain nations though then it becomes less fun unless you're the one with missiles so I can see why Top tier air arcade is so hated.
3.0-3.7 air arcade is where it's at imo. i've been playing war thunder super casually since beta (still not good) but high tier has never appealed to me.
You need to make a key bind to pitch your radar up and down. That way you don’t have to point your nose down to find the naughties🫡

arcade is actually really fun, the problem is your playing at top tier where everything has missiles that are radar guided that go 15 miles on a map thats only like 30 miles long and half the maps also have no cover and everyone is moving at 700 mph+ so at that br it really is cancer
I only play arcade for props it’s just a lot more fun than RB and it’s not the same bs of flying for 5 mins getting a kill and then dying.
Same, I'm currently at 6.7 because I have a Ki-84 in my lineup and the moment that gets taken down I spawn the Ki-43, gotta love seeing the "Rank doesn't matter" and "Skill matters" medals after I kill the early jets

air arcade, where im, at has 2-3 people max on all battleratings at a time meaning I could leave the que running for a month and never find a match. As supposed to the 12,500 ppl that are on at 2:00am on a Monday with realistic battles where my max que timer is 1:30.
Wich br-s are you playing, and what server? I love arcade more, but ihave onyl props, long queue holds me back from going top tier, or jets in general.

I've only ever played arcade because I always found realistic to be to slow and generally *very boring* in arcade I can be funny ace combat and destroy 12.3 with the F-4E not to mention I adore the wacky arcade maps instead of "Flat land 239". Don't get me wrong I can play realistic and I typically do alright, but I find it lame compared to Arcade.

I prefer ground RB + air AB. I tend to use air AB for simple and easy SL farming or acing an aircraft for ground RB. (Have to say though that I do fly at 4.3 atm and working on 5.3 lineup. Am also FTP for the most part and occasionally get 10 to 20 days premium account.)

1~6 air arcade is fucking peak and I will argue better than realistic. Realistic 1-6 is dying because someone is going .1 mph faster or climbed at a slightly higher angle
