Dan Orlosky is a really dumb analyst. If the Browns traded Myles Garrett and the #2 pick for an injured quarterback who has not played one down in the NFL, then that GM should be immediately fired! I would not even trade #2 overall pick for the Vikings injured rookie quarterback. It would be different if he had some NFL experience and you knew what you were getting. I would much rather draft a guy and develop them rather than give the vikings my #2 pick. If it was a 3rd round pick for an unproven injured quarterback, then I could see it, but definitely not a first or second round pick for that guy.
We can’t spend our second pick in the first round on this QB class, sure you can grab a rookie in the second or third and see how he develops. Moving on we have Myles on contract through the 26 season and and the 26 draft is supposed to have a much better look at that position So theres there’s that possibility we trade Myles for someone’s first and next years first and other picks and we snag a QB and Myles gets his wish. I love Myles he’s a great guy and wants to win so let him go play for a top tier team and we will draft our way back into contention.
I wouldn't touch that trade idea with a barge pole. Why would I trade for a rookie QB that got injured before playing a regular season NFL down? I'd rather trade back with Giants or Raiders for an extra No1 & use that as ammo to get my QB next year from a stronger QB class.
I'd trade down to #3 with the Giants or #6 with the Raiders. Raiders would likely give up a 2026 #1, 2026 #3 and 2024 #2 & #4! Next year armed with two #1's, we shop for our new QB. Cousins or another QB can hold down the job in 2025! Use the additional #2 this year on an OT or RB or BPA at an area of need.
There are a group of some nice QB prospects coming out in 2026. Get a vet QB on a short-term medium-sized contract for the next 2-3 years and pile up draft capital for next year. Maybe look for an OL guy and a running back as priorities for this year.
You could argue DPJ made a difference while he was here. Let's not forget the GOAT was from Michigan. I trust JJ McCarthy way more than any other QB in this years draft.
Ain't no way Browns are gonna trade Myles Garrett unless they offer the whole frickin roster. Like announcer pointed out, Watson's number has already gone down on salary cap. Orlosky should just listen to the latest Browns news/podcasts and he'd be more clued in. Suspect Vikings won't trade McCarthy unless they get something good in return
I think Myles can be a trade chip, but it won't be this year. The Browns didn't fire the FO or coaching staff, so they're not rebuilding. That being the case, they're not trading Myles. Now, if they're a 3 win team again next year and the FO and coaches go, then they'll officially be in rebuild mode, and I could definitely see them moving Myles for some picks. They'd really be dumb not to do it at that point, and they'd also be doing Myles a solid by moving him to a possible contender.
Garrett isn't getting traded dude! Stupidest trade idea yet! They can trade with Tampa for their backup QB Kyle Trask and draft the best player available each round. If Titans draft Carter, trade down! Ward or Sanders aren't worth the 2nd overall pick and NO we don't need McCarthy!
The value for McCarthy has gone down. One of his 5 years is already gone. He is coming off of a significant injury. Has not played in over a year. Maybe a 3rd for him if they like him. His value certainly has not gone up to justify 2 overall or Garrett when he was taken at 8 overall.
Who trades a healthy player for an injured one? We bet on a ton of injured players at the beginning of the 2024 season….how did that turn out for the Brown’s?
Remember...we're talkin' Andrew Berry here. He gave away 6 draft picks including THREE #1's for a QB with more baggage than the Queen Mary! A trade that has quickly become THE WORST IN NFL HISTORY! I don't put nothing past him!
@frankseprino8610 idk Frank, I don't believe AB would trade Myles unless Myles pushes for it. Besides, I think DW4 was more Haslam than AB, just like Johnny Football. Also, at the time, most GMs would have taken DeShawn over Baker.
Very dumb idea So why not trade our second 3rd rd pick from the Bills for Pats QB Joe Milton He is 24 has 1 year experience and would not cost anything more than a 3rd rd pick I don’t like the QBs at #2 but if I was gonna give up the # 2 I would just draft the QB not taken at #1 Not giving up Myles or trading the #2 for McCarthy
We all gonna have our opinions but if we follow the browns the last few years. They trend to make wild radical changes sometimes questionable. So I wouldn't expect anything we think is gonna happen will it will probably be drastic changes. That dome is gonna come n they need a team worth of saying we built the dome. This is just logical
The browns only identity is myles and joe b they should get only cam or sanders settle 4 nothing less if no chance be smart because we need a quarterback that can play
Dan orlovski should be fired for this explain to season ticket holders no myles no top 5 pick but spend your money cause we have jj get real dumbest take ive ever heard
No way on Earth am I trading Myles for an unproven prospect.
Especially a jerk from Michigan.
If he asked for a trade what choice do you have if we start off bad Garrett will ask for a trade before trade deadline watch
This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard
Thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard
EXCEPT FOR HASLAM SIGNING WATSON $230m GUARANTEED..
McCarthy will be a stiff even browns wouldn't make that deal go get the edge rusher from Penn St address qb later round or sign a free agent
@@dougprostak2932 sign cousins
This is why - this time excepted - don't listen to these RUclips/radio idiots.
@Chubb762 not trading Myles for anything
It’s amazing how smart benchwarmers become when they become employed by ESPN. Does anyone even watch ESPN anymore?
Dan Orlosky is a really dumb analyst. If the Browns traded Myles Garrett and the #2 pick for an injured quarterback who has not played one down in the NFL, then that GM should be immediately fired! Where he come from that's the dumbest idea I have heard all year
Then the browns will probably do it
@@johnmorrison1002 Yup!
This should be used as an example to explain the principle of a "terrible idea."

After yesterday’s game against the rams that’s totally off the table for Minnesota. Darnanld stunk!
I wouldn't touch that trade idea with a barge pole. Why would I trade for a rookie QB that got injured before playing a regular season NFL down? I'd rather trade back with Giants or Raiders for an extra No1 & use that as ammo to get my QB next year from a stronger QB class.
Myles Garrett for jj Mccarthy is just crazy work

Going to be needing a MLB too
Minnesota is not trading McCarthy. Not happening.
For Myles. They couldn't say yes fast enough.

If Deion is going to the Cowboys trade Watson for DaK and trade first round picks.
Just grab Jaxson Dart either with 33 in the second or if that’s too rich, trade up with one of your 2 thirds to grab him late 2nd.
He’s tripping
No Michigan player ever worked out for my Brownies.
Thom Darden did but that was back in the 70s. Also Thom Darden was a Cleveland Native.
You could argue DPJ made a difference while he was here. Let's not forget the GOAT was from Michigan. I trust JJ McCarthy way more than any other QB in this years draft.
Exactly only Leroy Hoard everybody else who came from Michigan were garbage (PASS)
Len Ford. Hall of Fame.

No mate what trade they make it will involve Myles
NO!
HARD PASS on McCarthy
McCarthy would be perfect in Kevin offense but no fuckin way Myles and a 2
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 That was a horrible idea.
Who trades a healthy player for an injured one? We bet on a ton of injured players at the beginning of the 2024 season….how did that turn out for the Brown’s?
Insane. JJ McCarthy is not significantly better than Jalen Milroe, Jaxson Dart, Kyle McCord, or Will Howard.
Minnesota not doing that they need him. You see Sam Darnold
Let's trade a first ballot hof'r in his prime to get an unproven QB. Just draft at #2. Good grief

Stick it Dan
JJ McArthy? Nah, pass.
Trade back and get Dak for the number 2 but Dallas would have to pay all but 1mill of Dak's salary
I would not do either of those things.
I need to see a new head coach before I see anything else. Bring in Pete Caroll as head coach and John Dorsey as are Gm
Beg to differ Thom Darden was pretty darn good and he came from that team up north!!
Who? And when ?
@@monteitoney1938 and the RB several years ago..
