When i hear this all i see in my head is All The Walt Disney Characters dancing Together as one Huge Family
???
@@appleboy3973 that's what i always imagined as a Kid.
I JUST HAD AN INSANE RUSH OF NOSTALGIA
I FORGOT THIS VARIANT EXISTED FOR 19 YEARS AND I MIGHT CRY
2:21 PlayStation? is that you?
4:43 Now, for the very first time, you and your family can own the magic of Disney on videocasette. Only from Walt Disney Home Video.
2:55 Who hasn't been scared at that part
Nobody:
RUclips home feed: psst, hey kid, want some nostalgia?
Me: yes
2:30 taken from Forensic Files VHS tapes
ah yes, right in the nostalgia
You don't know what anyone would say or think about so I'm thumbing down your comment and screw those who thumbed it up.
Now this is how I remember Disney on video.
Until now we're stuck on the modern Disney logo crap!
Christian Cerritos I couldn’t agree with you more on that it’s more like hook line and stinker
Emma Firsching yeah Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment should use the variants like these
I miss times like these.
@@Thewolfguys.cartoons2000 say you sorry right now because I care about you right now
2:05 Now, Mickey Mouse appears, standing in a pool of blue light, dressed in a pointed sorcerer's hat and a red robe. A white starburst spins from his hand and spells: Walt Disney Home Video.
No one cares, Lady!!!!
To me it sounds so much like Majel Barret doing the voice of the computer in Star Trek.

Watching these makes me miss vhs even more
VHS gives us positive feelings
CHOCOLATE!!!!!
CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!!
2:40-3:20 were my nightmare fuel in my early years. Not that Mark Elliott's voice scared me, but the abruptly loud music and vocal entries and unexpected swooping in of a logo freaked me out as a kid.
That's the same music used in the Future Presentation bit for the Disney Films.
Crystal Lee from 2:55-3:20, yes.
**Nods** I believe it's called Great Ovation. And if I'm honest, it startled me quite a bit as a kid too.
A guy named Steve Gray wrote it. The whole piece is pretty cool, but that opening fanfare is startling when it’s just used abruptly.
I agree. I do actually jump every time I hear the beginning of the song.
6:18 Look out for future releases from Walt Disney Home Video.
Woman: Now Mickey Mouse appears, standing in the pool of blue light, dressed in a pointed sorcerer's hat and a red robe. A white starburst spins from his hands and spells: Walt Disney Home Video. 2:04
Sure brings back memories.
"And now our feature presentation from Touchstone Home Video "Good morning, Vietnam" "
Now, investigators find clues to the cause of crimes against the investigation. Words appear: Forensic Files, Up In Smoke.
10:20 - 11:26 Brazil versions brought by Abril Video. Very nice to see these ones.
Definitely. Although, there is still brazil variants not found yet.

I'm getting goosebumps, this is so nostalgic!
I remember this so much... and yet... for some reason it kind of gives me the willies when it’s night. I’m not sure why.
I know exactly what you're talking about. For some reason, I can remember all the way back in preschool, they'd show a lot of Disney movies, that opening note and Mickey flashing on the screen can be jarring with the lights off especially if you're a little kid.
I am much younger than us like early 2000s young. Just hearing the sound from the logo I can tell that as a kid it would’ve freaked me out.
This is how I remember Disney!
I remember all these at grandmas house when she’d put on a Disney movie for us….
"Fra Walt Disney Home Video, en magisk verden som nå kan bli din for evig og alltid!" - the Norwegian variant.
For any Norwegians out there watching this who were wondering, I managed to pick that up almost entirely through ear (jeg kan snakker en lite norsk).
4:34 A world of magic, which can be yours to treasure for a lifetime from Walt Disney Home Video.
It sounds like regular show theme song
Nostalgia!
This video is making me realize how much of a 90s kid I truly am...
And I was born in 2003...
@@dumbass3651 wow!
Dude I was born February 2005 and I miss seeing these kinds of things on VHS tapes that my grandma had.

Love the sorcerers apprentice Mickey on all of these intros.
How many are here after Mark Elliott passed away?
The first and second logos are nostalgic. Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and Aladdin have these logos.
I think i saw this on a VHS copy of one the 90's films my family used to own around 2010 or so, i don't know which one but it could be "The Lion King".
Incroyable 💖💖
0:44 it's interesting this variant turned up on both the VHS and DVD of Cinderella (Rogers and Hammerstein; 1997 TV movie) - on VHS it was one of the last new Disney video releases to use this variant, alongside "Schoolhouse Rock! Money Rock", while on DVD it was one of a few USA/Canadian DVDs to use the 1986 WDHV at all, the others being "My Dog, the Thief" and "Disney Sing Along Songs You Can Fly!" (both 2006 DVD releases)
Honestly, I just wish it was used on more DVD releases (at least with older programs) ...

I noticed you still have some variants missing. Some of these you uploaded (German, Dutch, Japanese). There are also some in Hebrew, Portuguese and French which were uploaded later. This is a Danish version, but it is low quality. I have a working draft of all the versions, but they are in audio format. If you wish, I can send it to you.
Can you please send the video/audio files to me? I want to see what else is included in Walt Disney Home Video variants for sorcerer mickey. You can trust me.
This was a great logo history video, and by the way, it was uploaded on the 20th anniversary of the Pokemon anime! ...which was also the 10th anniversary of this video, the first one by RUclipsr Missoliverandblossom: ruclips.net/video/FxLdaQuOVy0/видео.html, which was uploaded on the 10th anniversary of the Pokemon anime, which, on the same day that year, was the uploading date of THIS video: ruclips.net/video/2ngUdLnhAFE/видео.html, which also had it's 20th anniversary the day this logo history video was uploaded.

I am looking for the 1981 Walt Disney Home Video logo on Italian VHS tapes which at the beginning shows a VHS cover on a wooden table and then opens up to reveal the normal logo. I can’t find it anywhere!
I know
It’s online, I’ve seen it
You missed the PAL variants. On an opening of a tape from the UK, I saw the usage of both high pitched and regular pitched version of the logo in the same tape!
2:40 what soundtrack is that from
I have no clue.
I think it's a variation on the WDHV theme.
Parker Rognrud It is. They just use it for the Closing to 101 Dalmatians 1992 VHS at 2:40.
Yup. I have that same videocasette!
That's True, Parker! At 2:40 the V reminds me of the Crossbones from the Jolly Roger flag, The one that is made by the Pirates!

@@ExtremeWreck no problem. I remembered that one too, allthough the Dutch versions in this video are more nostalgic to me(I'm Dutch)
0:04 Okay, I have a question. Did these things ever give anyone else nightmares as a kid? I remember always having to hide from this opening for years because it would scare me for some reason. Maybe it was the deep synth or Mickey fading in from the darkness... idk, but I always felt like he was going to crawl out the TV like the Ring girl and drag me inside. At least, that's what happened in my nightmares.
I didn’t get nightmares from that, I got them at 2:55
This is way much better than the stupid modern Disney logo! This is what Disney needs to bring back!!
@Michael Meyer that opinion was from 2 years ago, they're both still good logos
If only Jim Cummings would do some narration.
