Nice review, Thanks. I would of liked a bit more information regarding the upgrading and different helicopters, but still great. It reminds me of ole school games like Jungle/Urban/Desert Strike for the MegaDrive and Amiga etc. I will be definitely picking this up, it looks fun.
Thanks so much for the straight up and fast review of the game. Is a dream to be flying the HIND since I saw them in Rambo 3. Totally agreed with you, Arcade-Action is fun. TQ...
What you saw in Rambo 3 were Pumas with bolt on wings. Red Dawn did the same thing, but they also added a mocked up Mi-24A cockpit and literally stuck it over the nose of the Puma. They darkened the glass to try and hide the Puma's nose and cockpit, but in a couple of shots where the sun is behind the chopper and shining through the tinted windows, you can still see the original Puma's nose through the mock up Hind nose.
@@bigal3055yeah Red Dawn 1984 did the mock hind models better than Rambo 2 & 3. Of course, would have been better if Russia just weren’t jerks and loaned us a few actual hinds to put in our movies to eventually destroy them in.
@crackalacs74 That's the thing with commies. They make out that the state provides everything that the people might need, but the second you tell them that you need an attack helicopter, oh no, forget it! The commie dream collapses, you find yourself in some Siberian gulag and your extended family are queuing for bread for the next 20 years. Tighter than a duck's aresehole that lot when it comes to military hardware. Not like Uncle Sam though. As soon as Top Cruise mentions he's thinking about making a film, the Pentagon are straight on the blower; "Tom? General Chuck Steele here. Say, you making movies about fighter jets again? You are? Okay, whattya need, buddy! Sure, how many squadrons? You wanna sit in the plane? How about you actually FLY the plane too, huh?! I know, pretty cool, right! How about a carrier, you think you can make use of one of those big boys? Say, we've got this really cool piece of kit out at Groom Lake. Totally top secret, so we can't let you film it and end up with them god damned Rooskies eyeballing it, but it goes like a son of a bitch, would look pretty sweet in your movie and, oh I don't know, if you wanted to take her up for a couple of orbits and get some 'inspiration' lets say, well, Tom ol' buddy, I'm sure we could pull a few strings there...." With this kerfuffle in Ukraine going on now too and the comm...'Russians'...burning through hardware at an astonishing rate, you can't get nothing with a red star on it these days now either. MiGs, Hinds, anything that starts with the letter T, all snapped up now by the highest Ruble bidding bidder with a Kremlinkard credit account. We'll be lucky to pay over the odds just to get a couple of left over Ak-47s and a heavily used RPG-7 at this rate. I fear that the production values of Rambo 6... 7... whichever one are we on now... may suffer as a result and we are once again destined to face decades of balsa mock up mockery and sketchy cgi misery.
Shame they didn't put a story in there, small dev so understandable, but I would have bought it, thanks for the review mate, you are one of the few who bothered so liked and subbed, respect from Ireland 🇮🇪
I would have actually liked it more if it was more like a simulator. I hoped it was something like apache air assault but it looks a lot more arcade unfortunately
Did you by chance play Air Assault Apache? And if so how id it compared to that? That one was really nice in many aspects Controls were perfect, at the most difficult level you had to rearm at designated landing zones, top.. Good variation in levels.. Plus at the time managed to complete all multiplayer missions online.. Which was fun
No simulation mode? Hell, back in '98 I played a Hind game that had sim. mode and it actually helped me prep for my flight training sessions. Probably not on this because to few players want the challenge of flying realistically and shooting. 😕 The best is rocket cam. Seeing the rocket zoom on down to a target was the best. Or, watching Muhammads run while being gunned down. Just a war mongering rotor head at heart.
Dude if this is anything like Apache air assault then I'm getting it!

Yes I’m definitely gonna get this game ASAP . Haven’t played a fun helicopter strike game since what you mentioned. Desert, jungle & urban strike.
Jungle Strike, Urban Strike, Desert Strike , Soviet Strike , Nuclear Strike, Fire Blade, Chop Lifter are classic games .

Is Rambo the final boss?
I wish someone would actually come out with a Rambo game.
@@detonator-x-3119 there is one for the ps3. Its not the greatest, but its fun. It covers the first 3 movies
This game just looks like 1/6th of what war thunder is
maybe, but you dont have to devote your entire life to trying to level shit up to the point where it isnt even fun
They need to add the KA-27 Helix & KA-60 Katsaka as an update.

Apache air assault is awful
@@zorn2017 i thought it was pretty cool, but that is just one man's opinion

Controls were perfect, at the most difficult level you had to rearm at designated landing zones, top..
Good variation in levels..

Which was fun
is it realistic?
Can you invert controls? last flight game i got on switch could not invert and i'm still bummed about it years later haha
If you can't invert it is per definition a lousy flying game
How do you fly forward going at a fast speed? I can barely control anything
The controlling is difficult ridiculous and ruined this game.
Short and sweet. it sounds a 6.5/10
More like close to a 8/10 including the coop and mutiplayer
Thanks you just saved me $30 👍
Would this be even better with an Rtx4090?
The game is made by the same company that made the air conflict games
For a second I thought you meant ACE COMBAT

Muhammads defeated your asses in Afghan, Iraq with only AK-'s and RPGs. U.S. Military is the most overrated force ever. Go fight Grenada ass-lick.
Look into Digital Combat Simulator: World. It might be something you'd be interested in
