Highly recommended putting a leather grip and adding weight to it. After adding weight, the pure strike 2024 is the most solid racquet I’ve ever played with

Adding weight where? Due to the disappointing quality control you can end up with a 338 swingweight in stock form, adding additional weight to the hoop can make it really hard to swing for most recreational players. I own 3 PS100 16/20, with 323, 325 and 335 strung swing weight, the general feeling of the raquet is similar but the 335 produces a much heavier ball, more spin if you can handle it but also requires different string tension to control the power.

@@mancio-29 I use the Pure Strike 2019 and 2024 100 with Grapplesnake Tour Sniper at 52 mains, 50 crosses. I added weight to the handle via Head leather grip, weight to the throat, Weight at 4 and 8 o’clock, and weight at the tip of the racquet. With this weight, it produces a solid topspin ball that penetrates through the court.

@@mancio-29 I own 2 2019 Pure Strike 100’s and one 2024 Pure Strike 100. All of these are weighted at 326 Grams, I haven’t measured the swing weight but they all feel the same.

@@Hae_june thanks for your comment. I’m about to try some lead at 3&9 on my PS 100 16/20, probably 3 grams total, to increase stability on my flatter backhand and also spin. How come did you add weight at 4&8 instead of 3&9?

I love this frame as well. But I prefer the 100, 16x20 version. Similar control as the 16x19 98 due to the slightly tighter string pattern but a little more power and forgiveness and it’s whippier through the air due to the lower swing weight. I string it with Volkl Cyclone at 53lbs

Hated the Babolat feel and the serving with this stick, but adding weight made it incredible for returns and flat backhands.

Your reviews are always very good, mainly thanks to your really good tennis level which is a prerequisite for a meaningful review. To make it even better have you considered posting the measured specs of the raquet under test, especially swingweight?I have experienced differences up to 15 swingweight points between nominally identical raquets and this can massively impact the test. In the past, where I knew very little about poor quality control, I have discarded potentially good raquets (that cost me money to test or buy and resell) only because they were massively underspec and they played like a toy.

I bought one of these and I love it. I strung it with RPM Blast Rough at 48 / 46 and felt like it really came alive. I initially tried Toroline, but for some reason it just didn't feel great with Toroline strings in it. I think this is a great racket for a more advanced beginner as well. The sweet spot is surprisingly big and it's a pretty forgiving racket. It's much easier to use than my Blade 100 V9.

Which toroline strings did you use? I have toro toro at 40 lbs and am reasonably happy with it in my 2024 version.

I’ve been using the project one seven since it was launched…have tried several racquets since but have found nothing that gives me the same feel. The gen 3 pure strike felt too clunky - is this one more like a project one seven?

What is the stiffness and comfort like? I know Babolat and, more specifically, their recent releases have a growing reputation of being arm killers. Dominic Thiem is retiring due to wrist issues, most people blaming his Pure Strike. If used long term, would you think you would experience some discomfort?
