When I first started playing this game, I was not sure what to expect from the soundtrack going in but I'm glad to say the music defied my expectations and actually gave me chills, especially the more quiet calm music. Absolutely well done.

This soundtrack is phenomenal. It's insane how much the initial deployment feels, with the tense beat, the relentless cat and mouse. Then the trumbones kick in and all hell breaks loose. It's just fantastic.
It's hard to nail the balance between the epic sense of wonder that comes with space and the brutal tone of unforgiving combat. You have done so with an elegance that music departments of giant studios just can't seem to manage in this day and age. Bravo

What I really love about the music is no matter *when* it's playing, it fits the situation I'm in and that's fantastic for game music since as the composer, you have less of an idea what the players might be going through. I'm dodging missiles = this fits I"m getting wrecked by cannons = this fits. I'm blowing my enemy to outer space = this music fits. I"m not sure how you managed it but yeah, it just FITS
I had Mazer to guide me through the emotions and moods of the different parts of the game! So I'm glad that you find that the music fits whatever situation you're going through 😊
The soundtrack for a game can really make or break it! And these incredible tracks really heighten the atmosphere, that awesome balance of tension, nostalgia and hype. Fantastic job, and its great that they're on Spotify, my vacuuming around the house and chores are going to be very epic from now on!
I wouldn't have enjoyed Nebulous as much as I do if it weren't for your fantastic music! It truly feels perfect for Nebulous. If I had to describe what I feel about the music it's "beautiful, lonely, awesome, and terrifying", all words that coincide with what I'd expect from a game about fleet battles in the void of space!

The USS two for flinching had never vowed down from a fight, and today was certainly not the day. "Sir, the Argus is reporting additional contacts, similar bearing," "How many" "To many" Now the slight murmur of the CIWS begins, the hostile missles most deterred by Argus's formidable EW suite now are torn to shreds by the glittering streaks of gatling tracers. "MORE MISSLES OVER 100 AND COUNTING" screams CIC "Brace, some will get through." Our guns continue to batter the hostile fleet as the Argus and our PD try desperately to delay the inevitable. 4 missles are all that got through the rest destroyed or thrown off. But those missles did enough. The Argus lay dead in the water her reactor about to go critical. "Sir, message from the Argus" "Relay." "Down the throat to hell admiral" "Respond: Godspeed." The Argus's engines flared one last time as the enemies missles and guns battered our hull, we could take the punishment the Argus couldn't. I watched as the enemy fleet realized too late what had happened and turned to fire on the now explosive Argus. But it was too late. A blinding white light engulfed my vision. She was gone the Argus had been vaporized. "Status on hostile fleet" "Gone Sir caught in the blast." "Good regroup with friendlies in the area." This is just a little story I made up following my most recent game where my task force USS Two For Flinching And USS Argus Fought a 2v8 against the other team (my team abandoned me because they fell for the other teams' EW decoys. Somehow, I lived, and they were spaced just close enough, so the blast caught them all. Normally, this would have been a moment I would forget because "That's just nebulous baby," but having this song blaring just made it mmm made me feel like I was at my last stand. It felt good to solo the majority of the team. And still win. Thanks for the epic soundtrack.
17:43 When your beam destroyers align to the target's flank. 18:35 Flames on your cruiser but you just put out the magazine fire and finished rolling to get your last gun into action. The music really makes the experience so much more; I played with it muted (my brother was talking) and it was noticeable how much less immersive and visceral of a feeling it was.
17:36 The enemy jamming corvette jams your fleet and they start to fire missiles 17:42 Aegis light cruisers fires PDTs and chaffs to defend themselves and they found that jammer ship and the destroyers that fired the missile, you locked it on and unloads a ton of missiles to it. 17:59 The missiles hit that jammer ship and the destroyers, critically damaging it.
The soundtrack almost gave me a Ace Combat kind of feel. And I loved it. And the music adapts to what the situation is, and I think that's great. I always love to see games that can have this kind system and makes it more immersive.

Absolutely brilliant. Strong Homeworld vibes are present indeed, but every piece is filled with that thrilling atmosphere unique to Fleet Command. Only thing we can do now is to humbly ask for more!

"Recovery Phase" Sounds a lot like a few soundtracks from Battlestations Pacific, a game that I cherish dearly from my childhood; really brings out a unique nostalgia. All the tracks here are incredible. Thank you for your wonderful work, I can't wait to see what Volume 2 brings!

Well done, Lauren! I started playing this game recently and the soundtrack really highlights different moments in the game without being overbearing. That moment when you're in-game and puttering along, sailing blissfully through the dark and you hear the alert come out, "Spiker!" and the music changes to "Fight" - wow, that gets your blood going.

This is basically the perfect fusion of EVE Online's (RIP the Jukebox feature) and The Expanse's music/musical feeling and it fits the game so perfectly. I hope we get see (well, I mean hear) even more of your work in the game. Because it is bloody good and the intro when you open the game gives me goosebumps every time :)

The first time I heard the opening soundtrack I was blown away! It took me completely by surprise. The blend of calming notes and haunting vocals gave this game a feeling of deep history and lore without ever saying a word. Incredible!
Incredible soundtrack. Huge part of what makes this game awesome. When Fhiting phase kicks in its just an amazing feeling. You are either in a good position or you are dead and the song reminds you of that. Amazing work Lauren. as a good fan of videogames and movie soundtracks. This ost is epic.

I absolutely love the music in this game despite there only being a few tracks. It fits so well with each situation. Every time I hear that horn I know I'm about to kick off a massive brawl with my battleship. Can't wait for more in the future!

The normal, typical background of space was replaced with a hazy void, crackling with a sort of snowy fuzz at the edges of recognition. Here and there, the haze bloomed momentarily before disipating into fine ripples that then dissolved into fractals. "Where are we?" [We, are exactly as we were.] Walter's 'voice' echoed through the downlink. [Only your perception has changed. Welcome, to the noise floor.] "For what?" [Everything.]

You compositions pleasantly remind me of Ronald Moore's BSG and of Homeworld. Maybe even a hint of Banner of the Stars or Space Battleship Yamato, and even a few of the warship battles of the Universal Century timeline of Gundam. I could easily imagine your work as a substitution for the musical scores of the space battles in Legend of Galactic Heroes.
This soundtrack fits the game amazingly well, very evocative of the older space RTS games like Homeworld. I noticed in-game there are more variations in Fighting Phase, I assume that’s because of the addition of the OSP faction. Any chance we could get an official updated version of Fighting Phase on RUclips in the future?

thank you for your comment! i'm very humbled !! and yes, mazer (our fearless leader and programmer!) had some references that he shared with me and what he liked about particular songs and sounds. for example, the particular version of adagio for strings from homeworld had choral voices in it, so we decided to have vocals in the soundtrack as well, but with our own spin on it 😃 !
This has some Homeworld vibes to it in the quieter tracks. Deployment has a bit of an Ace Combat feel to it. Parts also have this Borderlands feel to it. Desolation, mystery, and a sense of foreboding, a creeping dread before the clash and clangor of battle. It's a joy to listen to.

masterpiece, for this game i think the music makes up 50% of the gameplay experience. For me at lest. At this point i cant tell the game was developed for your music or you make the music for this game :D
The one bad thing about each and every single one of these tracks is that they're too short. And collectively, there are too few of them. I badly desire for more, like a fish yerns for the sea....

Wonderful soundtrack! It has a feel like something of an in-between the likes of Homeworld and Battlestar... with a kind of orchestral and '80s synth flair. Such a cool combo. Only problem with it is... there needs to be more of it ;-)

Yeah, the music is pretty good. Has nice spacy vibes with epic flavor. But the soundtrack needs some more tracks, especally for fighting situations.

This is basically the perfect fusion of EVE Online's (RIP the Jukebox feature) and The Expanse's music/musical feeling and it fits the game so perfectly. I hope we get see (well, I mean hear) even more of your work in the game. Because it is bloody good and the intro when you open the game gives me goosebumps every time :)

The first time I heard the opening soundtrack I was blown away! It took me completely by surprise. The blend of calming notes and haunting vocals gave this game a feeling of deep history and lore without ever saying a word. Incredible!

Incredible soundtrack. Huge part of what makes this game awesome. When Fhiting phase kicks in its just an amazing feeling. You are either in a good position or you are dead and the song reminds you of that.

I absolutely love the music in this game despite there only being a few tracks. It fits so well with each situation. Every time I hear that horn I know I'm about to kick off a massive brawl with my battleship. Can't wait for more in the future!

Metaphorically speaking.
The cellulitic creature for a moment didn't recognize what she was perceiving. The normal, typical background of space was replaced with a hazy void, crackling with a sort of snowy fuzz at the edges of recognition. Here and there, the haze bloomed momentarily before disipating into fine ripples that then dissolved into fractals.
"Where are we?"

You compositions pleasantly remind me of Ronald Moore's BSG and of Homeworld. Maybe even a hint of Banner of the Stars or Space Battleship Yamato, and even a few of the warship battles of the Universal Century timeline of Gundam. I could easily imagine your work as a substitution for the musical scores of the space battles in Legend of Galactic Heroes.

This soundtrack fits the game amazingly well, very evocative of the older space RTS games like Homeworld.
I noticed in-game there are more variations in Fighting Phase, I assume that’s because of the addition of the OSP faction. Any chance we could get an official updated version of Fighting Phase on RUclips in the future?

thank you for your comment! i'm very humbled !! and yes, mazer (our fearless leader and programmer!) had some references that he shared with me and what he liked about particular songs and sounds. for example, the particular version of adagio for strings from homeworld had choral voices in it, so we decided to have vocals in the soundtrack as well, but with our own spin on it 😃 !
This has some Homeworld vibes to it in the quieter tracks.
Deployment has a bit of an Ace Combat feel to it.
Parts also have this Borderlands feel to it.
Desolation, mystery, and a sense of foreboding, a creeping dread before the clash and clangor of battle.
It's a joy to listen to.

Wonderful soundtrack! It has a feel like something of an in-between the likes of Homeworld and Battlestar... with a kind of orchestral and '80s synth flair. Such a cool combo. Only problem with it is... there needs to be more of it ;-)
