I have a question.
I have data about political participation where respondents answers questions (yes or no).
I have created categories: supportive participation, protest participation, contact participation and group participation.
Now, I want to place all those 4 categories into 1 categorie: political participation.
So making it a nominal variabel.
How do I do this?
I want to use it in multinomial logistic regression
already solved it. (SPSS version 20)
Transform > Visual binning
I wish to have such teachers in universities....but unluckily we don't have.....😒
Does anyone have some advice on how to recode TWO scale variables into ONE categorical variable?
I need to make a categorical variable made of 4 categories, 1 is which people have scored high on both scale variables, one in which people have scored low in both scale variables, one in which they have scored high on one and low in the other and one in which they have scored low on one and high in the other....suggestions?
I have a continious variable (0 till 500) that I want to recode into groups of weeks. So, 0-7 = week 1, 8-14 .. and so on. Is there a way SPSS can do this automatically, if I specify an interval of 7????????
