This actually happened in Vancouver, Canada. A man calling himself Jessica Yaniv sued the owners of a spa because the women that worked there wouldn’t wax his ⚽⚽
Yes! I heard about him. He was caught targeting Asian spas, and sued around 16 of them for not waxing him even though some couldn't due to their religion, lack of experience and feeling uncomfortable. It's so sad how women-run spas are targeted in this way and how there's always some women ready to defend this form of harassment.
Some do that crap specifically to prey on the unwilling and staunch feminists in other regards would get all poisonous towards uncomfortable women instead, make it make sense. "They're helping against stereotypes" by messing up criminal and medical records? More like working against pattern recognition and tripling down on "clothes, hairstyles and interests are gendered." Wow so grateful.
if places have to wax them they could have guards and or train all employees in tasers and such and now there is buddy system one waxer one guard or two or the ability to hit a pocket button that alarms the entire studio and there is only one reason that alarm would go off and its war time.
@@destroyraiden OR, we could just make it illegal for a man to sexually harass a woman into waxing his privates EVEN IF said man “claims” to “identify” as a woman.
I don’t care for massages so I’ve never been in this environment but there was this guy who was on a podcast- he was on the Netflix show “beef”. He is the ex con on the first episode and on a podcast he talks about forcing oral on a massage therapist in a joking manner. It was so disgusting and you could tell that this woman was not a human being to him. He jokes and devalues her and makes light of his actions. It was so disturbing. All I could think was, this is why I deeply hated this character. His role was too well “acted” and he felt instinctively like a person that deserves the worst life has to offer. I didn’t watch after the fist episode. I don’t support ppl or shows that hire ppl like this.
So not related to waxing, but I had a similar experience. I mostly do house sitting, and I had a new client try and ask for sex work from me. I do house sitting, dog training, and cleaning, NOT sex work. No offense to sex workers, but that is not a service I offer. Oh, also the man that asked for this? He purposely asked BEFORE he paid me for the house sitting job I had just completed 😠
tell them you record all conversations for ethical transactions and any time you get on the phone with clients you set it up before hand its in your contract they consent to tapping and if legal action is required the tapes are usable or something like that its getting their consent to be recorded so you cover the US states that require the person to know not sure about the rest of the world on this but that way every last call even if its a hi just checking in on fido you got them and when you hang up the phone keep the recorder on tell the date, time, whom was it you were speaking to and relation to the owners of the house. If you want to cover friends and family of the owners you can write in there two all conversations about the home, pets, or land when they are the owners, friends of the owners or other aquantencies of the owners will be recorded for ethical assurances and may be used in legal issues this way they can't get theri friends to call and harrass you under the guise of checking on xyz if you have a call hit record and if its a friend get names and relationship to the owner and if they refuse to provide that you can't tell them nothing about nothing. or you could do a policy of you do not speak to anyone but the owners about the property, pets, ect care yet you still record someone tried to ask questions and you said bye.
Why are men so damned GROSS. I agree with another commenter - the skit took too long. The answer should be a flat, "She doesn't provide that service. I would be happy to help you, but if that is not acceptable, then I'm afraid you will have to go elsewhere." THE END.
So I worked as an LMT prior to the pandemic. I put my license on hold and ended up working at the front desk at a hotel but, while I might get my license back into active status, you’re presenting a lot of valid reasons to at least not return to this line of work for at least the next four years.
Oh nooo, I hope that you pursue whatever you love to do. 💜 These "clients" are a very real possibility, but you can lay down boundaries and/or hire people who specialize in male treatments if you chose to provide those services.
I knew it was a skit because I had seen other videos from him that looked like a skit. Right before he did the follow-up, I said to myself, "This may be a skit, but I am a thousand percent sure that this happened to someone somewhere in real life." And sure enough, seconds later, he confirmed it. If anyone can go to the salon a request a certain person because they are good at what they do, then why would a pervert take advantage of a situation? These ppl doing skits need to have a disclaimer. You could still go viral if you do it right. I'm not mad at him, just adding constructive feedback.
I go for a massage every month for my back and I have a wonderful masseuse. She told me that she never takes on male clients because of bad experiences with men. And as a woman I would never go to a male masseur because of the same reason. Both the massagetherapist as well as the client are in a very vulnerable place so I can understand why women in that occupation refuse to have male clients. To bad for the good men out there, but there are too many rotten apples.
That was your TRAINING video, dude? You train your employees to laugh and giggle and have to tell the client 7 times that it's not happening? Very, very, odd. You don't even need to tell someone that she's uncomfortable and put her in that position against the client. You just tell them she's not available for the service. End of story. SMH at the unprofessionalism.
I agree. The giggling was not appropriate given that it was a skit. He needs to teach his staff to be firm and be ready to call police if needed. Being friendly with creeps only encourages them 😪
Unfortunately, a lot of people react that way. People can laugh because they are uncomfortable. I have done that many times. But after laughing and giving one the opportunity to redeem themselves and they don't, the. I switch up but him laughing that way is pretty common

I'm stunned by how much tolerance and respect this guy shows predators!!! No wonder they are encouraged to prey!!! Men work really heard at making themselves contemptible and hated!
Okay, but the girl who talked about the model who had an accident... I feel like he genuinely had an accident. Are we not going to allow men to be human? Everything in her story seems to check out, and he didn't seem predatory, but genuinely remorseful. He even paid when he didn't have to. Maybe he booked with her cuz he thought she was cute - as if women have never done that - but then didn't anticipate his body's response, or wasn't prepared that he couldn't handle that. Happens to teenage boys all the time. While many, many men are creeps, I also feel like women can be hypervigilant, and just don't understand them sometimes. The dude didn't make any sounds like the previous dude, didn't make any advancements, comments, or weird requests. And even immediately caught himself before she even noticed. I feel like the way she freaked out was uncalled for, and she could have had some grace. If a cute guy was touching and moving my lady parts, I'm not going to get aroused? Thankfully, with women, it's just less obvious. We shouldn't conflate genuine involuntary accidents, with predatory behavior. It's a delicate, awkward field, that requires nuance.
P.S. She could've given him a minute to clean up and gather himself, and then restarted the service. If, at that point, it happened again, or it is, in fact, weird, then by all means, stop the service. But sometimes things just are what they are, and aren't malicious. Especially if he was a model, why jeopardize his future jobs? Even he sounded shocked.
Why are you so eager to defend him? Just because it happened naturally, he specifically picked her since “he found her cute”? That’s predatory and gross.
So women are just supposed to get traumatized because sometimes men have accidents be for real- if the model can't control himself he shouldn't be getting waxed by someone he finds attractive or he could get waxed by a man
Y’all are wiilllllddddd! So a woman should just be shocked and terrified but strong armed by society into shoving it down and powering through? Are you serious? Are you seriously advocating for women being forced to comply?
It's very topical and I'd argue words describing gamete production aren't up for no psychologist or government to assign either, doesn't sound like their field.

How can you ignore all the first hand accounts of their own personal experiences with creepy men bothering them at work, from the women stitching the skit?
"I can be her first."

Another reason they want to take that option away too 😥
