I have found that if I want to build muscle, it's what I do after the workout that's important. Carbs and protein! If i want to lose weight then I have nothing before the workout and after it, I just have protein. It's been working pretty good but everyone is different. Cheers!

I have had this exact watch for almost 2 years now. It's been my default watch for about a year now. I just love it. A real workhorse that looks the business but not too expensive that you'd be afraid to wear it in certain places. And it's cheaper than many Seiko 5's while sporting solid bracelet links and the 4R35, unlike similarly priced Seiko's that still use the 7S26.
I think that Invicta deserves far more credit for being a gateway watch. This was the first automatic that I bought, and it lured me into the watch addiction. I have a few "nice" watches, but I won't get rid of my old Invicta. Never wear it, but it's the watch that started it for me.
I wonder if their business model is (or was) similar to a budget airline such as Southwest, Ryan Air, Easy Jet, etc. They cut corners in every way possible except for the equipment used which is in this case, the watches themselves. At first anyway. These days, there are Invicta Stores! Of course, this might be just because I am an aviation nut and have been watching all sorts of videos such as stuff from DJ's Aviation, Wendover Productions, etc.
I own an Invicta Pro Diver 8926 (the black version) and I think it's incredible for the price. Cheaper than the SKX's and might I say better? Love mine.

I actually bought the Pro Diver 8926OB, a Grand Diver 3045, & a Vostok Amphibian Scuba Dude, all on sale, for just over $200 bucks total! The same price as my SKX. All are great watches for the money! I can't wait to see your mods on it!
I got an Invicta 9210 15 years ago ($92) before I even know how to set an automatic watch. Lately I got an 8926ob ($58). I upgraded both to sapphire crystal. 9210 and 8926 have different crystal size, 29.5mm and 30mm. They are both awesome!
The bezel lining up is hilarious isn't it? I saw a video somewhere in which a gentleman's Invicta Pro Diver retainer spring rusted and broke. I hope they started using a better spring since then!
I have the black version 8926ob. My first dive watch. I love it. Simply the quality is great for the price. Robust! Yes the lume is weak but you can't go wrong for under 100!

The second hand logo counterweight? Nice! A luxury feature actually. The logo branding on the case side? Blancpain (!), Hamilton and others do this as well. So what? The yellow rotor branding? Yellow is Invictas brand colour. Very nice. The bracelet. Not too bad for the price. The branding on the clasp? They all have that. Nice. The lume. Could be much better. Agreed. All in all? Its a great, great watch for the price. And its so beautiful. And the dimensions are near to perfect, for me at least. Always recommend the Invicta Pro Diver series, seriously!

I have this particular model and so far it’s has been great!
I got mine for $45 on Prime Day. Seriously one of the best watch deals ever. Yeah the Invicta branding is a bit obnoxious for such a blatant rip on the Rolex Sub design, but you won't find that level of function for a better price anywhere else.

Cool can't wait to see the mod! I have the Bronze version of this but it is only 45mm case size and no Invicta branding on case or second hand, it was only 121.00 usd brand new, I love it!
I have this watch and have to say I love it and it's my go to swim watch. Been snorkeling with it, swimming many times with no problems. The side logo and second hand counter balance really doesn't bother me. To me it's a just a way to distinguish it but each to their own. Everyone has different likes and dislikes. It's what makes us humans and not Borg. Great video as always man and good luck with the mod 👍

I've gotten a couple of these on Amazon for under 50 bucks each. They go on sale pretty regularly for around that price. I've heavily modded them both. One if them is plus 2 seconds per day after regulating.
Everyone keeps telling me that they're getting them for under 55 bucks! I have missed to many sales! Do you have an instagram or something where I can see your mods?
I have a couple mods on snupps if you look up my user name. One of the Invicta mods is on there. I unfortunately sold the other one. I haven't updated in quite a while either. Best I can do for now. 😅
Nice review. ProDiver 8926OB is on my wrist right now. I'll wear it while I'm doing yard work or working on the cars. Then its either my SKX009 or Alpinist. I think I might mod this one. Gotta say, you have the coolest music for a watch channel. 👍

The Invicta Pro Diver was one of my first watches. I was not put off by all the watch snobs and Invicta haters out there. This watch is a fantastic piece for the price!!! I didn't like the hair pulling bracelet, so I slapped a shark mesh bracelet on it and POW!!!...after all this time, this is still one my favorite watches to wear!!
Nice! I have fairly hairy arms but I never get that hair pull. I wonder why? Maybe my hair is too thin or something. I have to try it on a shark mesh now!

Invicta are the Ed Hardy of the watch world. However the movement at this price is a really good deal, I just wish it wasn't so obnoxiously branded. Kurt, I picked up an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chrono on my trip abroad. I couldn't help myself. No more watches for me for a while :-( that one was a chunk of change. I gotta say I kinda liked the old lume song better, but I'm glad that Uncle Jimmy and Ted got more time in the studio!!! Maybe they'll go on tour one day!! Great video once again brotha!!!!
This versus the Seiko srpb89? Their price gap is quite big and I just can't figure why. The Invicta has the NH35A movement, which I heard is very comparable to the 4R35 of the Seiko. The Invicta is 20ATM water resistant vs the Seiko's 10ATM, so it's much more resistant to sea swimming and snorkelling. The invicta has a screw-down crown, I don't think the Seiko does, but correct me if I'm wrong, and (not that it's super important to value) the Invicta has crown guards. Both have sweeping hands, I'd like to say it almost looks like the Invicta's sweep is a lot smoother than that of the Seiko, and both have a 120 click, omnidirectional bezel. The srpb89 has a gorgeous blue dial, but I just can't seem to be able to justify the 100-150$ premium of the Seiko over the Invicta.
Thanks for this video, great! What haters think and say against Invicta, is not important, they are just stupid! I have the 8926ob, it is just a great value for the price and works perfectly. Of course the Invicta logo on the side is to remove and it is very easy to do, no problem.
mine turned up today, i have to say how smaller it seems in person, had no idea my wrists are making this model almost tiny compared to a 44mm. never the less its cool, hopefully mine runs like a don, test phase pending.
Hi Curt, since you're into watch modding, I thought maybe you could help me out. I got my dad an Invicta Grand Diver some time ago, but the crystal cracked. I've been unlucky in searching for the crystal size so that I could buy a replacement. Do you happen to know the specs or somewhere I could get information? I contacted Invicta but they wanted $80 to replace the crystal :/
The best way would be to measure the outside diameter of the crystal and contact a place such as crystal times to see if they have something that would fit. Measuring it while it's in the case would be difficult but can be done. Use a ruler with MM.
@@minitwatch Thanks for replying! My problem is that the crystal shattered the moment I removed it from the case, and it shattered in such a way that it was un-measurable. Do you think crystal times would be aware of the size? I asked Invicta but their customer support may as well be non-existent.
I have a six-year old Titanium Invicta Submariner knockoff, and it has been a great watch. Other than the laughable "lume" and the -20 sec/day, the thing is awesome. Lets see some natos and a double dome, maybe also a better bezel, brother.
I haven't been able to find any bezels and inserts for this watch. But the search continues. For now, I'm just going to change a few things that'll make it completely different :)

Hey, Curt. Great video per usual dude! So,.I bought this Invicta off Amazon a couple months ago because I've had awesome luck with my 8926OB. The face on the one I got was not at all blue, but a weird VIOLETY purple color. It ran well but I couldn't stand the color so back it went. Is yours blue or purpley?
Not sure what ppl are expecting from an $80 watch. It does sweep, looks good, what else you want? Looks like a Rolex?? Im sorry but very few people can afford them does it mean if the rest of the world want something lookalike should f.ck off? I would not buy a Steinhart or a Davosa (they are good tho), but for that under 100 you cant go wrong really...

@@minitwatch I got one from wholesaleoutlet990 on eBay two months ago. I don't see the same ceramic insert on their site now. If you search for "ceramic bezel insert 40mm" you can probably see the item on eBay. Being ceramic, it is thicker than the original aluminum insert. So after setting it with the double-sided tape, the bezel is just a hair higher than the domed sapphire crystal. It's not much and doesn't bother me. I am guessing if I use the right amount of epoxy/cement it would fit perfectly.
I have 2 watches of same line. One major pitfall is that they just cannot master the true dimensions of the case. The rolex submariner cab always be easily distinguished by almost square case

Hands are referred to be "sweeping" because they're mounted from the center cannon stack along with the hour and minute hand. The term "sweeping" or "sweeping motion" is derived from the way radar scopes have a central point in the center of their display to the edge of the radius of the display. Medical texts urge that the nurse or doctor use a watch with a "sweeping seconds" hand as apposed to what used to be common in watches having an eccentric sub dial or none at all. Its got nothing to do the smoothness or mechanical or quartz movement rate or whatever. Please make a note of this.
If you go to Amazon or other places and read the fine print, it says suitable for swimming and water sports, but not diving. It is not meant to be a divers watch, nor do they test it as they do with the Seiko sks series. If you want an inexpensive watch to use for swimming, that it is good for that. I hate their logo's being so large all over the watch and band. The lume is so bad, it is a give away you will not be able to see the time if you go into the dark water without a light source. At least the watch is not ugly like most invitica's are.
I never claimed it was an official Diver's watch but you're totally right. I don't think anyone who's serious about diving would use one of these anyway. I have gone surfing with a Seiko 5 and it's been fine time and time again. That says a lot! This watch just might be able to go diving but yeah, that lume would make it quite difficult lol.
No, thank goodness. If I ever get a bad one, it would be from Amazon and they'd probably take care of it. I've heard some horror stories, though. But then again, I am 100% certain I wouldn't get any help from Seiko involving my Seiko 5's. I've only ever gotten excellent support from Steinhart, and Tiger Concept. Microbrands seem to be better at it. The guy from Tiger Concept is a fiery one, though. He can get a bit short but he takes care of you lol.
It will involve some sort of sanding situation however, I don't think I need a belt sander. No she wasn't :p AND NO! Not going there. hahahahah! You animal. This is why I like you.
@@williamzoom You sure? I've seen it done with just a file and a dremel. But then again, I could clearly see scratches in the "finished" products. I'm going to the hardware store soon to see what I can grab. I have a limited budget, though. And yes, *sigh*, unfortunately, she is smokin'.
You probably could use a file and yes you are going to see scratches, the good thing about a belt sander is that its super quick and the scratches will only go in one direction. I had a hot step cousin, she was very dirty :)
I have 3 of these,all bone stock,8926OB,9094OB,8233OB.I am a Seiko dive watch fan for years, but they are screwing up big time with mis-aligned bezels,rough crown action,and + and - timeing variations that are way out of factory specs.however the Pro-diver auto line is where I draw the line with Invicta,as great as they are the rest of their lineup is comical. Seiko is forcing me to look elsewhere like the Tissell Marine diver,9015 high beat miyota,glidelock clasp,SEL Oyster bracelet,Saph Xstal,Ceramic bezel insert,underside AR coating. and for around 250.00,Seiko better start fixing their QC problems not just in the entry level SKX lineup but also in the JDM imports.I have had problems with no less than two auto Marinemaster divers(SBDX001)and a pair of the 62MAS Re-issues with the 6R15 movement.
Ugh. I hate seeing stuff like this because it's true. My problems haven't been too terrible but totally unacceptable. DUST on the dials. C'mon Seiko!!!

Watch sat for 2 years picked it up and started sweeping instantly. Lume was still great. Honestly is a great watch at an unbeatable price.

Invicta are the Ed Hardy of the watch world. However the movement at this price is a really good deal, I just wish it wasn't so obnoxiously branded. Kurt, I picked up an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chrono on my trip abroad. I couldn't help myself. No more watches for me for a while :-( that one was a chunk of change. I gotta say I kinda liked the old lume song better, but I'm glad that Uncle Jimmy and Ted got more time in the studio!!! Maybe they'll go on tour one day!! Great video once again brotha!!!!

This versus the Seiko srpb89?
Their price gap is quite big and I just can't figure why.
The Invicta has the NH35A movement, which I heard is very comparable to the 4R35 of the Seiko.
The Invicta is 20ATM water resistant vs the Seiko's 10ATM, so it's much more resistant to sea swimming and snorkelling.
The invicta has a screw-down crown, I don't think the Seiko does, but correct me if I'm wrong, and (not that it's super important to value) the Invicta has crown guards.
Both have sweeping hands, I'd like to say it almost looks like the Invicta's sweep is a lot smoother than that of the Seiko, and both have a 120 click, omnidirectional bezel.
The srpb89 has a gorgeous blue dial, but I just can't seem to be able to justify the 100-150$ premium of the Seiko over the Invicta.

I have the 8926ob, it is just a great value for the price and works perfectly.
Of course the Invicta logo on the side is to remove and it is very easy to do, no problem.

Hi Curt, since you're into watch modding, I thought maybe you could help me out. I got my dad an Invicta Grand Diver some time ago, but the crystal cracked. I've been unlucky in searching for the crystal size so that I could buy a replacement. Do you happen to know the specs or somewhere I could get information? I contacted Invicta but they wanted $80 to replace the crystal :/
The best way would be to measure the outside diameter of the crystal and contact a place such as crystal times to see if they have something that would fit. Measuring it while it's in the case would be difficult but can be done. Use a ruler with MM.
@@minitwatch Thanks for replying! My problem is that the crystal shattered the moment I removed it from the case, and it shattered in such a way that it was un-measurable. Do you think crystal times would be aware of the size? I asked Invicta but their customer support may as well be non-existent.
I think the Swiss cross in the logo is a "hats off" to the history of Invicta, who were originally a Swiss manufacturer.
I have a six-year old Titanium Invicta Submariner knockoff, and it has been a great watch. Other than the laughable "lume" and the -20 sec/day, the thing is awesome. Lets see some natos and a double dome, maybe also a better bezel, brother.
I haven't been able to find any bezels and inserts for this watch. But the search continues. For now, I'm just going to change a few things that'll make it completely different :)

The face on the one I got was not at all blue, but a weird VIOLETY purple color. It ran well but I couldn't stand the color so back it went. Is yours blue or purpley?

I would not buy a Steinhart or a Davosa (they are good tho), but for that under 100 you cant go wrong really...

What's the camera you have ? The macro is really good.
It is a Sony A6500 and I'm using the 16mm-50mm kit lens that it comes with. It's not perfect but it does the job!

@@minitwatch I got one from wholesaleoutlet990 on eBay two months ago. I don't see the same ceramic insert on their site now. If you search for "ceramic bezel insert 40mm" you can probably see the item on eBay. Being ceramic, it is thicker than the original aluminum insert. So after setting it with the double-sided tape, the bezel is just a hair higher than the domed sapphire crystal. It's not much and doesn't bother me. I am guessing if I use the right amount of epoxy/cement it would fit perfectly.

I have 2 watches of same line. One major pitfall is that they just cannot master the true dimensions of the case. The rolex submariner cab always be easily distinguished by almost square case
I always feel like these invictas are a tad bit too thick but still, they are a good value!

Have you tried the Casio Duro? One of the best watches for the price, its like 50 dls at amazon. I promise you'll love it.
In comparison to Invicta, Duro is a shitter.

Hands are referred to be "sweeping" because they're mounted from the center cannon stack along with the hour and minute hand. The term "sweeping" or "sweeping motion" is derived from the way radar scopes have a central point in the center of their display to the edge of the radius of the display. Medical texts urge that the nurse or doctor use a watch with a "sweeping seconds" hand as apposed to what used to be common in watches having an eccentric sub dial or none at all. Its got nothing to do the smoothness or mechanical or quartz movement rate or whatever. Please make a note of this.
If you go to Amazon or other places and read the fine print, it says suitable for swimming and water sports, but not diving. It is not meant to be a divers watch, nor do they test it as they do with the Seiko sks series. If you want an inexpensive watch to use for swimming, that it is good for that. I hate their logo's being so large all over the watch and band. The lume is so bad, it is a give away you will not be able to see the time if you go into the dark water without a light source. At least the watch is not ugly like most invitica's are.
I never claimed it was an official Diver's watch but you're totally right. I don't think anyone who's serious about diving would use one of these anyway. I have gone surfing with a Seiko 5 and it's been fine time and time again. That says a lot! This watch just might be able to go diving but yeah, that lume would make it quite difficult lol.
It's a shame . This is a really good watch. I have this exact model. Beats most seiko 5 , in my opinion. Waiting for the mod dude

No, thank goodness. If I ever get a bad one, it would be from Amazon and they'd probably take care of it. I've heard some horror stories, though. But then again, I am 100% certain I wouldn't get any help from Seiko involving my Seiko 5's. I've only ever gotten excellent support from Steinhart, and Tiger Concept. Microbrands seem to be better at it. The guy from Tiger Concept is a fiery one, though. He can get a bit short but he takes care of you lol.

It will involve some sort of sanding situation however, I don't think I need a belt sander. No she wasn't :p AND NO! Not going there. hahahahah! You animal. This is why I like you.

You probably could use a file and yes you are going to see scratches, the good thing about a belt sander is that its super quick and the scratches will only go in one direction. I had a hot step cousin, she was very dirty :)

Weeeeell, if i had to choose, I'd probably get the Neptune. The case is a much nicer size for me and it's beautiful! For the price...not so much.

2:02 and Grand Seiko's Spring Drive
I have 3 of these,all bone stock,8926OB,9094OB,8233OB.I am a Seiko dive watch fan for years, but they are screwing up big time with mis-aligned bezels,rough crown action,and + and - timeing variations that are way out of factory specs.however the Pro-diver auto line is where I draw the line with Invicta,as great as they are the rest of their lineup is comical.
Seiko is forcing me to look elsewhere like the Tissell Marine diver,9015 high beat miyota,glidelock clasp,SEL Oyster bracelet,Saph Xstal,Ceramic bezel insert,underside AR coating.
and for around 250.00,Seiko better start fixing their QC problems not just in the entry level SKX lineup but also in the JDM imports.I have had problems with no less than two auto Marinemaster divers(SBDX001)and a pair of the 62MAS Re-issues with the 6R15 movement.
Ugh. I hate seeing stuff like this because it's true. My problems haven't been too terrible but totally unacceptable. DUST on the dials. C'mon Seiko!!!
