Very very rarely do I get a weapon other than a coin or bandana peel. Maybe every 5 races I'll get something different. Never a star or blue shell. Do you know why that is? Am I doing something wrong?
if you're first in a game, you'll less likely to get good items. and if you're last, you're more likely. so if you're always in first place, that's why you only get green shell, coins or banana
