When I was in Ohio, I live alone in a room in an old dormitory. I just deleted this song from my phone. I am afraid of the real ghost in my bedroom. And I added it back to my phone again when I got back to Thailand.
My room in Ohio got some sound of breath of something I could not see after 2AM. That time, I tried to get used to it. Back then, I got the nightmare many times. Once AEP shut down my electricity for 3 nights. I'm fxking scared. I did not sleep for a night, and later, I just stayed overnight in the school library.

Its been 5 years since this album came out, my senior year of college, and little did I know how much this album was going to mean to me. After losing whom I thought to be the love of my life, and struggling for years to figure myself out, the line at the end "I want you to notice when I let go" resonated to my very soul for so long. I knew She'd never notice, She's forgotten about me, but I for one have noticed myself letting go, and now I understand that's all I ever needed.

I didn't know that the type of music someone listens to suddenly makes them lower or higher than someone. Like, really? Just let people listen to what pleases them. It's their life, not your's, and you have no right to hate on them because of it. Most likely the haters will never go anywhere in life with the attitudes they retain, and just get angry because of it, so they take their feelings out on others do that those innocent victims of cyber bullying can feel worse about themselves than they already do.

I haven't been around to listen but I've been on a Mayday Parade feels trip in the past few days and I sure love listening again feeling like I'm a teenager again. This band will forever be on that list of my go-to bands whenever I feel down.

This may be bold BUT if Mayday Parade would have come on the scene 5 years earlier (like 2002 instead of 2007), I'm confident they would have been regarded as one of the best pop-punk bands ever. The musical skill, the melodies, everyone sings well, they just a touch late!

Mayday Parade consists of 5 members Derek (the lead singer), Brookes and Alex (rhythm guitar, and guitar) Jeremy (aka Cabbage,Cabbie(he's also. the bassist) And Jake (Drummer and singer)
They have been around for almost 10 years and currently have 4 albums and are working on their 5th. With Monsters in the Closet being the most current.
Mayday Parade is pretty incredibly awesome on stage they have a great energy and excitement about them.
My personal favorite songs are Ghosts, Black Cat, Jamie all over, oh well, and stay. I recommend listening to these.
Our fans are pretty incredible and supportive.

Just listened to Losing my Mind and then decided to take a trip down the rabbit hole. All of their songs are so bittersweet to listen to, and I love the feeling they give me, even if it hurts sometimes with the memories I have attached to them.

For some reason i honestly dont like anything from these guys except for the whole lesson in romatics album. Idk why.....
Yeah, I love that album too, their style became much softer after that, probably related to their split with jason lancaster (originally part of the band) he sings on all the songs of lesson in romantics with derek.
But if you liked that album you'll like the EP they made before that "Tales told by dead friends" (2006) and "When I grow up" from Punk Goes Pop vol. 2.
In their defence though, I must say the 2011 self-titled album was great, a huge surprise. Made me wait eagerly for this one, but it's been a bit of a let down :/
Yeah same, I keep hoping all come across a song I really like on the new album and I can't find one. I still listen to Tales Told By Death Friends and A Lesson In Romantics on repeat. Anything after that I liked but it wasn't AS appealing. I don't feel like I connect with the lyrics anymore and it's disappointing because I used to rely on Mayday's music to get through the day, and now I hardly ever listen to them.

alright....i love the song...but everything about this video...gosh...i feel like they really dropped the ball with this one. The video itself...i mean come on this song could have told a cool, and uniqule little story, but instead they made a very standard, kind of blan, steriotypical music video that has been done a million times over, i mean yeah there some "ghost" in it i guess, but come on guys when we listen to the song is this what we were imagining? But even if you put the actual content of the video aside, there are multiple problems! For one this song single was put out in August! 2 months before the actual record was put out! Which is fine, but why didnt they put the video out with the single to help promote the album! For 2 i saw on there actual website they put out a music video for this song and thought "finally, lets go look it up on youtube" And i couldnt even find it until i scrolled down for a while, like come on, couldnt MDP have made sure the video is the top result when you type in "Ghost mayday parade"...I just think there not helping themselves here...I dont know...I just wish this was done with more legitimacy...nevertheless..im glad this finally got a video.

This is the best Mayday Parade has sounded since "A Lesson in Romantics". Their first album will always be their best, hands down, but "Monsters in the Closet" is by far the closest they have gotten to recapturing the energy and soul that made their debut album so good.
Let's face it, while their second album was a very nicely done pop-punk/emo-pop album, listening to that album after hearing "A Lesson" is like seeing "The Matrix Reloaded" after having seen "The Matrix" first (Reloaded is a fun, off-the-wall action flick, but is a huge downgrade from the first movie). And their self-titled third album is, to me, like watching "The Matrix: Revolutions" after having seen the first two "Matrix" flicks: it's fairly entertaining and has moments of greatness, but is very confused and unfocused overall.
Disagree with the self-titled being unfocused and confused. I think it has a pretty nice blend of everything that isn't that original, but Mayday excels at. There's usual head-bouncing pop-rock ("No Heroes Allowed"), fast-paced and rebellious ("I'd Rather Make Mistakes..."), mellow ("You're Dead Wrong") or plain heartwrenching ("Stay"), acoustic-then-explodes ("Without the Sweet..."), and just a wider variety of hooks. Also, "Ghosts" develops similarly to "Oh Well, Oh Well" but the later is better executed - "Ghosts" actually feels kind of dumb in comparison.
We also hear a lot more from Jake on the self-titled and it really pains me that people miss Jason so much, cause Jake and Derek work just as well - just differently. Jake has that 'normal' voice which balances Derek's more dramatic tone. When they had Jason, Derek played the role of the normal guy opposing the dramatic one (Jason), but he's not fit for that. I'd be happy to have Jason back, but Jake HAS to sing. A trio of vocalists would get this band places... or maybe ruin them forever. In any case, more Jake please.
Monsters is great, but it feels safer. Yes, the self-titled is in fact the safer one, but back then they were trying to bounce back from that trainwreck that was the sophomore album and had to reestabilish their foundations. I expected a bigger jump. I think the self-titled has both their best opener and their strongest song overall ("Mistakes"). I might actually like it more than ALIR.
Felipe Deliberaes After having re-listened through the self-titled recently, I have moved closer to your view. I thoroughly enjoyed it and all its songs, but it wasn't as good as their newest album.
