Absolutely...if we didn't sit on it in the second half and we score 31 we leapfrog Oklahoma and would have played for it after the Bama win at their house....we punted and played defense, a Tubbs staple.....we came close to jumping them after this game in the BCS vote but not quite...a great win and a dominant win...Tubbs handcuffed Borges several times that year and he did it in the sugar bowl as well...we should have killed VT.
@@ericpackers1700 04 was solid top to bottom at every position and the best depth we've ever had and it's not even close. Borges was brilliant at schemes but Tubbs handcuffed him more often than not and could be counted on to sit on a lead as soon as we got it. We had UGA on the ropes so bad in 04 the first half and we let up the second half ...cost us the national championship.
