My gosh, I have no words for how amazing this is! Like I will literally have to come back at a later date to watch this again so I can put my thought in order. Like aaahhhhhhhhhhhh!! I goes so hard!!
Okay so bare in mind I'm really not up to date on the qsmp lore but I still wanted to say how in awe I am over all the details in this. Like oh my gawd man, the details!
I absolutely love all your character designs. Especially the binary guy at 0.11 I think it's so cool how you put him by the wall of all the eggs to hunt and their life counts. It's sick!
And you made each scene correlate with the song choice so well! It tells the story in a perfectly understandable way, even if you don't know much lore.
I-I still don't know what to say Lucky, this is just super cool.
Every time I say "dang, this is some good animation" and I scroll down to see who made it, it's you. It's always you. Mate, you are amazing!
I haven't been able to watch the QSMP streams live lately but my gosh, things are getting stranger and stranger on this server - this animatic describes how ominous things are becoming and really makes you feel how creepy that stuff is.
We all knew something was up with Quesadilla Island from the very beginning (really, a perfect vacation being gifted to people who have done terrible things in their former life? I don't buy it) but the mysteries are starting to pile up and become more dangerous by the minute.
Both the worst and best thing about it is that you never know when it will happen.
There are days where things seem truly fine - often these times of peace and family life last for multiple days even - but then, when everyone has let their guard down, danger appears out of nowhere.
Whether it's the Duck/Pato making questionable announcements, Cucurucho jumpscaring the players, the code entity/entities manifesting and attacking or the *literal server* threatening the server members (they all look so insane, deluded and/or threatening in your animatic, I adore it, and the flicker effect makes it even creepier) - it turns the mood of a stream from wholesome to pure angst in a second...
And I love it!
(I guess Bad appearing as grim reaper can also be quite a scare, although I find that particular development more amusing and sometimes even wholesome than anything - I love that too, just in a less horrific way).
As much as I love watching the strange, lore-heavy scary situations unfold and witness tension and emotion lead to memorable moments, sometimes, it also really hurts to watch.
That scene you put in there with Roier and Bobby...
Hauntingly sad but beautiful.
I think what's so scary about it is that Roier is a fantastic parent and has much experience fighting off dangers that might harm his family and that Bobby is one of the eggs which very much knows how to fight (and by that I mean fight well).
Yet despite that, despite them being so strong, seemingly invincible almost because they react quickly and efficiently, it did not save them.
Roier gave his all to protect his son, but he couldn't...
And that frame of him holding Bobby's limp body is all the more heartwrenching for it.
Roier and Jaiden genuinely love and care about Bobby, but on this server, that just isn't enough.
(Also, maybe it is just me but the whole premise of fighting for your life underwater is horrifying to me...
Your body is so slow and your strikes are weak and you're floating helplessly below the surface, in half-darkness, unable to breath...
I know that the title of the animatic probably doesn't refer to that line of thought specifically, but it fits quite well, really.)
Speaking of the song fitting with the animatic -
"He was the one that made us"...
The eggs are a product of the server, they exist because of it.
However, that also means that the server assumes that it has the right to take them away, even though they have been raised into beings with a complex personality and an own will.
Neither the eggs nor the players are willing to give into the server's demands.
They need to be protected, "saved" by their guardians...
And if they're not, well.
They leave the parents with deep emotional scars.
"Did we deserve this?"
The QSMP versions of them don't, but evil tongues would say that you can't simply forgive the sins you committed in a former life...
And interestingly, this might be the server's stance on it, too.
I think it's interesting how you connected Cucurucho (who, by the way, is pretty horrifying the way you depict him and how he creeps up on a grieving, devastated Roier, what a bastard/cabrón) and Quackity here.
Now, I doubt that QSMP!Quackity (as in the character on the server) is pulling the threads here - there's no doubt he truly loved Tilín and he's too much of an emotional wreck to accuse him of faking his attachments to the people he loves, so I really don't think he would introduce the eggs and willingly get a plan on the way to kill them, especially including Tilín, that would be insanity.
No, I don't think he is Cucurucho, they have been seen in the same place, if I recall but I can definitely see the idea that Cucurucho is, in a way, somehow connected to Quackity's being, given that they both use :] as a calling card of some sort - well, Quackity used to do this on other servers - so given that the characters keep, none the wiser, referencing their past lives, this is surely intentional.
When it comes to QSMP!Quackity himself, I don't think that he as a character remembers much...
But there is a possibility that maybe, Quackity's emotions and presence overall influence what is happening on the server.
Correct me if I am wrong or if things changed but...
I cannot recall Quackity ever meeting the code entities, ever.
I remember that one day, when Bad, Maxo and Foolish were fighting off waves of them... and they stopped around the time Quackity came on.
It might be a faulty correlation and just chance but at the same time I am not so sure anymore...
And I can see you aren't either.
Maybe Bad was right about suspecting Quackity when he noticed his voice in the announcement after all...
Maybe there's a different him, a portion of his mind that, given how lawful he can be, has set out to bring justice to the people who deserve to be punished, even himself (maybe that's where Cucurucho's :] comes from, lawful, bitter Quackity?)...
Although I am not sure that this is the Quackity we heard in the announcement - that version of him didn't sound angry and the question "Are you there?" seems more like one of unsureness, maybe of being lost and lonely.
Is it possible that there is a different part of Quackity that is really craving... simply not being alone?
Maybe that's what the QSMP really is: A world built on Quackity's genuine desire to construct a world where his friends from all the communities he is active in can finally live a life together and find new friends beyond any border there might be (a paradise, if you will) which at the same time is corrupted by the hurt he experienced and the grudges he holds against them, the part of him that says that they should be judged for what they did.
But who knows, really...
For both us and the server members, it all comes down to theorizing because what else would they do?
The players can't go into the offensive, because there's nothing that would give them any information that they could use against the forces they are fighting.
And even if they did uncover that would give them the edge over the binary entities or Cucurucho or any enemy really, how do you even fight something that can appear wherever they please and is practically invincible?
They would need an ally just as powerful to pull that off, but they are hard to come by.
Sure, Rubius could help, but he is terrifying in his own right (I love the "biblically accurate angel" thing you did with his design because he is far from a cute little angelito) - honestly, he might as well be working with the Federation (probably is, actually) as far as we know.
And Arin?
Well, it's clear that he want to help, but given how close the entities are getting to people's homes, his powers seem to be dwindling...
So essentially, as of now, all that the server members can do is investigate.
And that they do.
Whether it's the Theory Bros/Trio theorizing, Detective Cellbit on the case or the server members simply whispering words of warning in the hopes the Federation will not hear - essential knowledge and insights are traveling fast on the server and it's good that way.
Being up to date with recent developments concerning the code entities and the Federation can save (egg) lives and really, they are doing a decent job communicating a substantial part of the time.
Besides, finding the truth might be the only way out if this.
If they could, as a community, find a key to impact the server before it (or the code entities) kill(s) all the eggs, there might be hope for them...
So, long comment short: This is a great, fantastic animatic and it conveys the dark, mysterious side of the QSMP very well - so well, in fact, that it got me to theorize in depth about it...

I know that both Quackitys are technically separate entities, but they do appear to share at least certain memories which would imply that they share a body or mind which, in turn would mean that they arrived together on the island.
Also, why would Spanish-speaking Quackity be... well, "evil" specifically, but English-speaking Quackity "good"?
Both of them suffered trauma in their former life and did horrendous things so there's potential for both of them to seek justice, no?
I mean.
I suppose that there's a chance that DSMP!Quackity did self-reflect on what he had done and was humbled, seeing his wrongs...
While KL!Quackity never really got to, given that his memories were erased.
So yes, I can see that one could make a point about that being the reasons why there are differences in their behavior, but it still doesn't change the fact that they're implied to be interconnected.
