i dont think people realise how mad some of jumps are! i love cross country ridding and watching but when you watch it, its breath taking the horses and the ridders are both so brave a foot wrong and you fall! and they say you just sit there when horse ridding... am a proud horse ridder and will always be!

What a great horse! Both horse and rider gave their all. I think those two make a great team. The helmet camera was really cool, I felt like I was riding the horse myself!

Was great to see hat-cam footage - saw you at the haha fence. Such a shame for Vittoria - she rode so well the rest of the course!

But the one clip where the flag got stuck in the horses tail, um the gait canter/gallop what ever u wanna call it, it did not look normal one bit!😡😰
Like if u think its not normal!😡😡😤

i'm sorry, but some of these riders are horrible. i'm not an eventer myself, but seriously - if youre going to event your horse make sure you know how to be gentle and not pull so much on your horses mouth

Many riders give extra release for their horses, along with sitting back. Keeping the horse in pace to make good distances. These jumps require mad distances and scope from these horses. Riders release a lot of rein and it may look like they’re slapping their reins, but it’s just them regaining their reins to keep the horse from running away underneath. Not a professional, but I do know what goes on in the minds of eventers, like myself, and others.

Like everything else in the equestrian world, eventing has wimped out. Rather than covering natural obstacles, they now have horses jumping over swans and moons. Eventing stems from fox hunting, and although back in the day the courses were of course planned, at least they were natural. This garbage is just ridiculous. This is just a hunter course with jumps that are a bit wider and a lot stupider. Big woo!

I believe this is translated into minor safety issues, I recommend you to look at the numbers of deaths: humans / horses, you will be amazed.

eventing doesn't stem from fox hunting
