Amber Bemelmans yeah dogs bark but people could choose to not bring them for the safety of the horses and riders 🙄 it’s just selfish tbh and ur selfish for saying that leave them at home it’s not that hard horses get scared live with it
love the power of these stunning horses, you can even hear it in the thudding of their hooves. also, please DON'T take your dogs to X-country or horse shows in general.
The reason horses fall so many times in the deeper water, is because they never fill in the holes where they land, year after year, so there are holes made by other horses. They should maintain these places, and pack new clay and small gravel there.
Just a question for all the equestrians out there,is counting the strides for galloping the same as counting them for cantering? Do you have to start counting earlier with gallop?
breanna keel well obviously the stride numbers are different as in 3 for canter and 4 for gallops but mainly the same gallops is a bit harder to feel as you are up of the horses back and they tend to "float" more in gallop
I wish I could do that with my horse. But he can't go over that many jumps due to Arthritis , but he would do EXTREMELY well running for a long time if I got him back into shape.
Sofia Konta thoroughbred X Irish sport/Irish draught I think as the tb brings the speed and long stride and the ish/id includes good nature tolerance and hardiness also a little bit of Connemara for the jumping aspect
Anything with a high percentage of thoroughbred blood. It used to be almost all thoroughbreds, then people started adding in warmbloods because they’re good on the flat, but then they couldn’t hold up to cross country. I think the ideal cross sought after now a days is a ‘three quarter bred’ meaning 3/4 thoroughbred and usually warmblood/sporthorse for the other 1/4.
That ditch jump should be banned, it's over-the-top and dangerous. A few close calls of broken legs there. Not at all pleasant to watch a horse nearly go lame.
star stable with alivia the white stuff on the legs is eventing oil/grease It is used so the horse slides over fences instead of getting stuck and the horses are treated like royalty
Another frickin dog barking! People, do NOT bring your dog to a horse show! It distracts the horses and the Riders.
Well said, just said that to my husband!!!
The riders did amazing! That yelpy yap yap dog in the background though.....
Why do people let their dogs keep barking!! It's distracting when your trying to enjoy cross country
Dogs bark live with it

Yes it's the same you start counting when you feel the horse take the first step

How do the riders still have knee caps left after this? Is it just the way I'm seeing it or do they put a lot stress on their joints?
These courses seem absolutely massive
would you mind if I used these clips for a video edit for instagram?
+Caroline Gray aslong as you credit me that will be fine

The horses are literally treated like royalty! I go every year and you wouldn’t believe how they treat them!
I have no idea how they stay balanced
