  • Earlier this week, KPIX 5's Betty Yu reported on a letter that claims three infamous inmates of Alcatraz -- brothers John and Clarence Anglin and Frank Morris -- survived their celebrated 1962 escape. Now, David Widner, (John Anglin's nephew) spoke about the letter and his uncle. (1-25-18)

they found none of them, so they made it. but even though it is exiting to know for sure, really who gives a damn. they committed crimes went to prison which they couldn't keep them in and they left one night years ago and still to this day have no idea where there at. so good for them. loved the movie though with clint E. shows complete detail of how they did it, to me that was actually amazing how they done that back then.

They found none of them because they are all either at the bottom of the ocean or in a shark's belly. No way they made it.

They totally made it and had someone help them get to Brazil and they had a farm in Brazil, and one of the leading experts in the country compared photos of them on that farm to their photos from Alcatraz and it totally matched. There's no way they're going to go back to the USA and have to serve time as some 85 year old man and die in prison.

No way they made it. There is a lot more evidence that they didn't make it, than they did. First, their "boat" was sewn together raincoats-most likely with several holes in it. That thing probably took on water right away. They are in a leaking raft, trying to out paddle the ocean. The OCEAN! Strong tides are pushing them out to sea, at night when there is zero visibility. There are waves, winds, hypothermia, sharks. God knows what else. Meanwhile, their raft is taking on more water every minute. Their pictures and personal effects were found. If they were important enough to bring, they were important enough to keep. If the cons "planted" those things to throw off the search party, how could they ever assume a tiny bag of pictures would be found in the middle of the ocean? Their list of contact addresses and phone numbers was found. Wouldn't they need those? And if "planted" wouldn't that give law enforcement a lot of rich leads to find you? There was NEVER a bonafide sighting of them. Not one. No cop or FBI agent or private investigator, with all their resources, ever saw them. No person who saw their face on a wanted poster and turned them in. No good citizen who dropped dime on them. No informant who turned them in for the reward money. For the rest of their lives, every person who ever met, or even saw them, kept the secret. EVERY one of them! THREE career criminals never committed a single crime again-not one. No more robberies, no more petty theft, not even a speeding ticket. And again, that's all three of them. Finally, pullease don't tell me you believe that Anglin family nonsense that John & Clarence sent cards every year. Seriously? Sorry. They were shark food.

The letter was compared to the Anglins hand writing and not a match. So they are pretty sure the letter is a hoax.

David Gold the hell he isn’t. His story is far more believable than the outlandish fiction you tell in your videos. Seriously. You’ve been making crazy ass videos for years now yet you never produce anything in the way of evidence. You expect people to believe that frank Morris and the Anglin brothers , are not only the zodiac killer(s) , but they also followed you around for your whole life terrorizing you even though you lived in numerous different locations over the years. But you’re that special where no matter where you were , so too were the very 3 guys who pulled off the greatest prison escape since the count of Monte Christo ? Come on man. Let it go. That guy is at least the nephew of the Anglin brothers. You can’t even prove your credibility.
