I just bought one of these for mountain biking, it works well and feels quite comfortable for a square battery and arm sticking out of your chest. It's also surprisingly light, I used to mount my GoPro to a standard strap-on chestmount (which at first felt akward and heavy to me but I eventually got used to it). Now switching to the chest mount with a gimbal, it doesn't feel much different then the chestmount and GoPro on it's own. If you get one of these don't cheap out on the chest mount you buy to attach it, also, try not to put too many extensions on the mount as the further away the gimbal is from your chest, the more it will bounce and the tighter the straps will need to be (same goes for a helmet mount).
Great review. I just got mine yesterday and couldn't really figure out the instruction manual (I had read reviews saying the instructions were poor). This made it so easy! I'll be using this to film GoPro footage on my enduro motorcycle and road bike too.
Great Review. I'm currently setting up my RUclips channel and constantly finding myself watching your reviews. Take a look when you get a few minutes. It all started with the Go Pro reviews. Thank you.
Just got this one delivered from China, realized it didn't come with the universal tripod quarter inch screws preventing me from mounting it on my bike. Screws arrived today by mail (phew) and tonight I'm gonna try it out with my completely undampened and furiously rigid Ibis Silk road racer bike. Biking slower for steadier shots was never an option anyway. If this little thing enables me to record smooth shots despite my legs screaming with lactic acid and my lungs sounding like a steam train, then that automatically qualifies for top grade in my book :-) (I've been accused of filming from an electric bike by people judging through my youtube clips, so I dare say Im pretty fast, hahaha ) Regards. Niles
Thanks for the review, sounds like this thing is performing quite equal to the karma grip from your review. Do you know if the micro usb port on the Session is available while mounted? It looks like taking the door of the camera and mounting the Session upside down should allow for connecting an external mic. Do you think there is enough room, or will the gimbal block too much?
Even if you are able to do that, the cable will restrict the movement of the gimbal and if anything snags on the cable it will pull the gimbal out of alignment. Using a stand-alone recorder (like something from the Zoom H product line) with and external mic connected to that will be your best bet.
Quanta - Attempting to Play Games Agree with you after my first testing yesterday. Especially due to the very loud noise from the gimbal a standalone recorder is the way to go.
Great review. I’m thinking of getting this unit. Thank you so much for doing this. Also, this was posted in July how’s it holding up as of now.? Is it still working well overall, and underwater .?? Thanks
Air Photography that’s awesome! May I ask, where did you purchase it.? I’m thinking of getting it on amazon. But unsure where is a safe place to get it
An interesting review thanks, I'd like to have seen footage of how the gimbal performed attached to a chest mount whilst mountain biking. I'm still undecided which gimbal to buy although the Removu S1 is looking favourite. Which gimbal in your opinion is the market leader, Thanks again for all your reviews, they're very helpful.
Eddie Runcorn the removu only has the tripod mount on the bottom so if your going to chest mount it it ends up quite obtrusive by the way you have to mount it.
bcxc gets good mtb footage with the older version of this and this ones even better being waterproof i will be getting one soon for filming on the trails
Thanks for the review! In the footage you made on the road you can see that it go off the horizon everytime you make a turn. That is not what I like when you put clips togeter with the horizon not flat. Feiyu tech has informed that this is by design! So for me I stick to the rider-m. Bye the way bcxc dos not use the old WG anymore (so do I) because of horizon problems!
Thanks for the video! I have the WG the first one. I use my fir fishing. Im having to put it up every time is drizzles. Now i want have too. Wahooo! Lol.
Great Video thanks. I am thinking of getting one and attach it to my bike handlebar to vlog my future biketouring trips. Would the gimbal work with an audio adapter cable attached to the Gopro?? Thans again for the review
Hey please, I'm trying to decide between this and the Karma Grip, it would be very handy for me and maybe for others to have your opinion and perhaps a final buying advice to choose the better gimbal for the Hero 5, thank you, I love this channel!
+MrFDUQUE That is a really tough decision. When it comes to ease-of-use, final video stabilization quality and overall experience I would have to go with the Karma Grip. But it’s not really fair to do a direct to Comparison because they are quite different and used for different purposes. For example this is more geared towards wearable and mountable with a small footprint. And the fact that it’s waterproof where is the karma is not… Makes this more valuable to those who want to use it in and around the water. I use them both for different scenarios but I would have to say I tend to reach for the karma more often. One thing that i like is the fact that I can change the angle of the camera with a Feiyu tech Via my app when mounted to my car. I hope that helps in someway I know it’s pretty vague
Awesome, I was wondering why people don't do that kind of video, there's nothing related on RUclips, I mean, those videos are useful to make a final decision, thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it!
Do you know if this unit will hold a GoPro Hero with the u/w case? I have the Akaso EK7000 action cam that comes with a waterproof case. I was thinking about getting the Feiyu WG2 for an upcoming backpacking trip.
Instruction Manual says: "Press and hold function button until the green light is on (to power on)". Anyway, I'm having problems with it (using it with Hero 4)...
Nuno Oliveira feiyu say they plan to improve this in a future firmware update but also say wg2 is not designed for handheld use and g5 should be used handheld so very confusing.
Good point. When in the case, the action camera might not fit the gimbal. I have the original non-water proof WG, which when using an adapter, accommodates the Garmin Virb Ultra 30, but neither is water proof. I can use the Garmin in the water proof case on my Zhiyun Smooth Q gimbal, but then the gimbal remains susceptible to water. If I have to ride my mountain bike and I have to film it, I use the Garmin on my helmet in the case without a gimbal, using the image stabilization of the camera as well as the dampening effect of my head, to give me smooth(er) footage when cycling in wet weather. FYI, the original WG is still being sold, at about $100 less than the WG2.
Does anyone know if the Session mount from the WG2 will fit these other GoPro mounts to fit in mobile handheld gimbles? Trying to mount my session with my osmo and finding all these plates for GoPro 3 up to 5 for them but nothing for the session. thanks
I’m not a mountain biker so I really can’t offer any opinion. But I have read pros and cons on both sides. The WG2 is smaller and mounts easier. But I have also read that the karma grip does provide a smoother video but I can’t really verify that either way and sometimes comments people make are impartial Simply because they like a brand
majchi i bought wg2 and the feiyutech smart wireless remote for g5 works fine for tilting up/ down/left/right so you can use smartphone to see gopro view when recording.
Gee how can you say it performed very well????/ , from that clip you can clearly see it really doesnt stay horizional when travelling along that road,,, thats terrible ... I wont recommend this WG2.... Plenty better ones out there..
Yes it can. However you will need one of those go pro Adapters that have the quarter inch tripod thread on it. He just screw it into the Body of the G5 and then mount to a chest harness Similar to how you mount the karma grip
Air Photography great thanks, it was an awesome review I think I will get it!!! One more question does the battery life ever stop you from using it during long activities (mountain biking)

How did it go on your bike mate
Just an FYI, I recently purchased this gimbal and it came with the 1/4-20 to GoPro mount adapter.
Good to know, that must be something new they are doing :)
Thanks for review. I really like this idea. Do you know if this gimbal can be balanced with the microphone adapter attached?
Very cool just bought the g5... wish I knew and bought this now as it would attach to the motorbike as well
I been looking at this for sometime now, glad to see this video to help my decision to purchase it
+Richard G great. I’m glad it helped :)

Thanks for the review man, looking to get one of these soon for my session. Thanks for sharing!
DnSAdventures I’m thinking of getting one as well! If you do get one keep me updated on how you like it
Great review I realize this is older gimbal but would it fit the DJI osmo action?
good shooting and feature demo

Nice one! Can it also hold handphones?
Great review. I’m thinking of getting this unit. Thank you so much for doing this. Also, this was posted in July how’s it holding up as of now.? Is it still working well overall, and underwater .?? Thanks
Still holding up great I use it quite regularly. I have no complaints. I have had it in the water quite a bit and no issues thus far
Air Photography that’s awesome! May I ask, where did you purchase it.? I’m thinking of getting it on amazon. But unsure where is a safe place to get it
Did you have any issues after submerging the gimbal?
Is something similar available at the moment?
Does the LED stay green when in normal operation? I just got mine and the blue light keeps flashing... great video man!
An interesting review thanks, I'd like to have seen footage of how the gimbal performed attached to a chest mount whilst mountain biking. I'm still undecided which gimbal to buy although the Removu S1 is looking favourite. Which gimbal in your opinion is the market leader, Thanks again for all your reviews, they're very helpful.
the Removu S1 is huge, wouldn't use it for MTB
+Steven Robbins good to know. I was looking at it as well
Eddie Runcorn the removu only has the tripod mount on the bottom so if your going to chest mount it it ends up quite obtrusive by the way you have to mount it.

Does yours bottom out at the mounting screw? Or is mine hooked up wrong? Thanks Good video
Thank you for your great review
Not to heavy to wear on harness or helmet? Which handheld do you use when filming underwater? Thanks a lot
Really helpful review thanks
Can this gimbal be used while it is connected to a charger? I would like to power it from my car accessory power on longer drives.
Christopher Pole yes it can be used while charging
is it splash proof or full water proof for scuba diving stuff?
Great Video thanks. I am thinking of getting one and attach it to my bike handlebar to vlog my future biketouring trips. Would the gimbal work with an audio adapter cable attached to the Gopro?? Thans again for the review
cool time-lapse feature
May I ask what was the settings on gopro any Gopro stabilization on or its pure gimbal work on footage being smooth
I have the hero 5 black and did u put the camera with any cases on it underwater and the standard mic was ok? I haven't tried putting it in water yet.
Thanks for the review. How long is the battery life on continuous use?
+Jerin James It’s rated for 2.5 hours
Thanks for this tutoriel. Winch mode do you use for the car or moto footage please?
nice time lapse feature
Very good and clear. Is it easy to mount the session adaptator? Thanks
its not yo difficult
ok thanks
any whiny noise from the motors when you use the session? The WGS is pretty bad for it
+MTB Scotland There is some slight noise yes. I have yet to find a stabilizer that is silent
Will this one work with osmo action?
Hey please, I'm trying to decide between this and the Karma Grip, it would be very handy for me and maybe for others to have your opinion and perhaps a final buying advice to choose the better gimbal for the Hero 5, thank you, I love this channel!

+MrFDUQUE yes I agree. Maybe I will make another head to head comparison video
It tilts when you turn corners, which is weird for a gimble..
while mounting on car is the first mode selected or which mode ?
Mine didn't come with s tripod .. what gives ?
Can you charge the gimbal while using it?
Is this mount good more mountain biking?
is this safe to be submerged on sea water
John Mark Booc it say it can up to three feet. But you must rinse with clean water. But in the manual it says no salt water.. so I dunno. I’m confused
Do you know if this unit will hold a GoPro Hero with the u/w case? I have the Akaso EK7000 action cam that comes with a waterproof case. I was thinking about getting the Feiyu WG2 for an upcoming backpacking trip.
+Gregg Lenart Not with the stock mount. I have seen people with her various cameras with elastic bands
how good is the battery life?
Is that compatible for gopro hero 7?
Is it possible to add a microphone to this ?
What is the name of this song on Ben Sound please?
I saw your commenting in amazon
Will this fit the hero 4 black with waterproof housing?
Instruction Manual says: "Press and hold function button until the green light is on (to power on)". Anyway, I'm having problems with it (using it with Hero 4)...
Woman Violin Maker could you use it with the hero 4 and with its case
Good Day,will it be able to do a panning mode?
Can you hear the motor of the gimbal when recording? What's the waterproof rating of the gimbal as well? Thanks!
The water proof rating is IP67 up to 1 meter. As with all gimbals there is some slight noise, less than my karma grip but audio is quite good.
Can I use this for my akaso brave 4 action camera?
Just got my wg2 but haven't tried it yet, looks like the gimbal was rolling into bends on car shots not staying level? That's a bit concerning?
I'm concerned on this also... Does seem uncapable of doing what it is supposed to do?
Nuno Oliveira feiyu say they plan to improve this in a future firmware update but also say wg2 is not designed for handheld use and g5 should be used handheld so very confusing.
I had their WG1 and it tends to do that a lot. Also build quality of WG1 was not the best, I don't know about WG2 though.
Does the Gopro pickup up the motor noise from the Gimbal?
It will always be too loud for the in-camera mics.
how would this work with a gopro hero 4 since without the casing it's not waterproof?
Good point. When in the case, the action camera might not fit the gimbal. I have the original non-water proof WG, which when using an adapter, accommodates the Garmin Virb Ultra 30, but neither is water proof. Can apeman trawo fit this gimbal or the g5 feiyu tech?
Can I use it upside down
Can you use this gimbal with GoPro hero 3 in waterproof case?
Maciej Piotrowski no
Anyone else have a new gimble that attempts to turn on and balance, only to power down as soon as it balances in the ready state?
can it lock the horizontal pan?
do they make a phone adapter?
Will it work on a Sony AS200?
2019-1-22 首次阅览
拍得很好,继续加油
It is controllable by remote?
+Coco Jie via a smart phone app
Does anyone know if the Session mount from the WG2 will fit these other GoPro mounts to fit in mobile handheld gimbles? Trying to mount my session with my osmo and finding all these plates for GoPro 3 up to 5 for them but nothing for the session. thanks
Will the GoPro Hero 9 black fit on the WG2X ?
Not without some kind of modification, the clips just don’t fit around it
Somebody know it's possible to change de battery?
Airsot Karma you can not change this battery
Can you compare gimbal evo ss v.s. wg2 ?
damacknificent151 I think EVO is better version 1. I don't know about this version...
have you tested it underwater
+Drop Gear Yes the footage in the video was with the unit completely submerged underwater
Air Photography How deep underwater can it go?
+Fred Gania according to manual half meter but I have read on other sites one full meter
nice gimbal
so you have 36k subscribers, but you use iMovie?
Go figure! Actually for the most part I now use Luma fusion on my iPad Pro to edit all my videos
? what is the difference between WG2 and the Feiyu G5 other than the waterproof
The WG2 is more geared to wearable/mountable and the G% is best for hand held filming. But both units can do both
Thank you
there is also a difference in battery life wg2 =3h g5=8h
What you recommend for mountain biking this or karma grip?
I’m not a mountain biker so I really can’t offer any opinion. But I have read pros and cons on both sides. The WG2 is smaller and mounts easier. But I have also read that the karma grip does provide a smoother video but I can’t really verify that either way and sometimes comments people make are impartial Simply because they like a brand
Air Photography thanks anyway
where did you buy the tripod screw? any link please?
amzn.to/2AYeSte
does it work well with the hero session
Yes it works extremely well
What is the led indicator status when its fully charge?
Green
@@GurrasGarage ok got it tnx👍
I hate this gimbal, as soon as I put my gopro 8 on it with a cable tie it stops working
How so?
Can anyone confirm that this will fit a Hero4 IN a waterproof case?
+airplaneguru84 With the current set up it will not fit
has anyone tested it how it acts in snow/cold? and is it compatible with a remote so i don't have to use the phone for movements shots?
majchi i bought wg2 and the feiyutech smart wireless remote for g5 works fine for tilting up/ down/left/right so you can use smartphone to see gopro view when recording.
thanks, good to know!
can you run a hero 5 session with this gimbal?
read desc .-.
+GemCaVay Yes it works very well With the hero 5 session. There is a mount included with the kit
Gee how can you say it performed very well????/ , from that clip you can clearly see it really doesnt stay horizional when travelling along that road,,, thats terrible ... I wont recommend this WG2.... Plenty better ones out there..
Like what is better mate please share
What about battery life ??
Dhaval Jajal i have seen it was around 3h
catnip
Mine session bumps to the gimbal while rotating - doesn't that bother you? I had WGS and had no such problems :/
Jacek Brzezowski you should balance it
how long does the battery last?
kimrosmedia 3h
I know this can be mounted to a chest mount, but can the g5?
