The only lesson I took from this is that I should IMMEDIATELY sell all my keyboards and never touch another! This was an ass-whoopin’ handed out with a smile and a wink at the end. Hurt so good! Loved it.

You're either born to play like this or you're not! Imagine the freedom that comes with mastering an instrument at THIS level. Sadly 99% of us will never play like this and that hurts💔😂💔

I said this to a musician once, and he was insulted. He said it was years of dedicated hard work, not talent. To call it talent is an insult to all of the long lonely nights he spent mastering his craft.
That kind of dedication takes talent 🤔

@@BongoBaggins1000% agree. I played a improvisation over a hymn i a church a year ago. After the applause, and after the service an elderly women came to thank me, and asked me on what university I got my music education from. I then told her that I`ve never gone to music school, but that I am partly self thought in combination with 12+ years with private piano lessons (every week) with just incredible teachers. She could not believe what she heard and grabbed my arm, looked me straight into the eyes and said; «Then you just have an incredible talent!» I replied: «I don’t know about that. I’m just obsessed with playing the piano, and practice on average 6-7 hours pr day, and I actually feel quite bad at the instrument sometimes, as I feel I have to practice a lot more than other musicians I know, to get the same results.» The woman simply could not accept my answer, and was deeply insulted by my reply, and she squished my arm so arm so hard(that I still had red marks when I came home) and she said with an altered voice «No its not work! It´s talent!!!!» and left deeply offended. It´s funny that we (stupid) humans cannot recognize the work of others, and when we do, we try to talk it down. What´s the reason for this?? I think the reason is that most people realize deep within, that if its hard work and not talent, then maybe, just maybe, if they also had started playing at the age of four. And they also had put a similar amount of hours into the craft, then maybe they would play at the same level. But people (because they are selfish) just cannot accept this idea, and therefore devalue all the hard work of the musician into this magic ability instead; namely talent! And people are much more comfortable with this explanation. Because if a person has this magic fairydust-ability called talent, the only reason they themself then has not reached the same level is merely because the don`t have this magic mythical talent. It has of course nothing to with them prioritizing other things in life, such as watching TV-series, playing video games, and go out partying.

Disagree. The only reason you cannot do the same thing is because you have not put enough hours into practicing. Don´t be hurt (that is foolish). There is still time, start practicing today if you are serious about this. But most people are not serious, and therfore they do not practice.

@@theclaverman Respectfully I'll partially disagree, I agree putting in the 10,000 hrs is necessary for the vast majority of masters of any craft, however I give you two points to consider.
      1. Savant children who haven't been alive long enough to get off of milk 🤣in order to put those hours in, yet can already lead a band on organ (both manuals and pedals) at the age of 3 years old (Cory Henry) Or play all instruments (Jacob Collier etc) There is a difference with those anomalies. That difference being #2.
      2. The way some musicians can understand/hear/SEE music differently than most. To a point where 20 or 30,000 hrs would allow a different person to share the stage with the aforementioned savants but still not allow them to match the way they think. With that thought, it's not a bad thing, it's just reality.
Which is why I do agree with your "Don't be hurt" sentiment, but I do think some are just "built different". I'm not privy to Glenn's history like that but I imagine he was similar lol.

this is overwhelming! the musicianship of the bass player AND the drummer complimenting Glenn is throwup sickening good. most of that stuff was impromptu and not rehearsed...just wonderful. not perfect, but I wouldn't change a thing about (except more track lol!)
