She started her career at the age of 12, but she's French Canadian, so her music was in French. This is her first English song debut. She is a powerhouse, and if I'm not mistaken, she recorded this in 1989, but recorded the video in 1991?
Her first English album showed us what a brilliant legendary voice we were dealing wiht. It inspired me to go dig up some of her music from ner Montreal roots, and damn, some of her early French work is amazing too. "Dion Chante Plamondon" is a MUST LISTEN< even if you dont understand French. And this was what, 2 or 3 years after she won Eurovision or Switzerland
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for doing another Celine request! This song is special to me. It was Celine's first English language song released in 1990. I was a 15yr old kid and could not believe the voice I was hearing for the first time!!! I knew at that moment that she was truly a once-in-a-lifetime voice! Saeed- if you watch closely, several times in this video she takes her right hand and hits her chest with it. We call that the "chest bump". She doesn't know why she does it, we don't know why she does it, but it's one of her adorable quirks! =) Except one time when she was wearing a huge diamond at a live performance, she hurt herself doing it. But she never missed a note. She was such a baby in this video. Only 22.
I want to say that you deserve a lot of credit for taking this journey with Celine Dion. A lot of people take years to react to her and then when they do they take another few years to get back to her. She’s not one of the “in people” in the reaction world, and that’s insane to me because she’s one of the best to ever do it.
She's been singing professionally since she was 12 years old. Her very first song was ''Ce n'était qu'un rêve'' (It was just a dream), she was 12 and already singing flawlessly, even that young (:
Here she was so yong (22), she had a French career already but she had just begun her English stuff. Soon American and worldwide audience could see her incredible gifted and powerful voice. So only 7 years later she reached the top. She is a legend. Thanks for you reaction. I subbed.
What a career! I am looking forward to explore more of her music. I have recorded a few other reactions, but they are currently blocked. Hope that gets resolved soon. Thanks so much for subscribing!
Please do more Celine, love you reactions and you have to know more of her discography ;) check out Flying on my own Las Vegas performance or courage music video, loved me back to life (one of my very favourite songs of her), I'm alive, a new day has come radio remix, that's the way it is, or taking chances
Enjoy your heartfelt honest reactions. Hard to believe this song was over 30 years ago. I think it was her first hit song in English. A couple of other suggestions are Love can Move Mountains, River Deep Mountain High and I Surrender.
A very young Celine here. What a voice she has, enen at this age. I remember her singing a duet for the movie Beauty And The Beast, when she could barely speak English. She sang the duet with Peabo Bryson. The actress Angela Lansbury was the original singer, but I loved the duet. Thank you, Saeed ❤😊
Hardly recognised her. She was definitely young there 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Another French Canadian singer on the same level is Lara Fabian. Just an absolutely beautiful voice
@bazkeen Lara Fabian is Belgian. But, yes, she moved to Quebec during her career and became a Canadian citizen. But Lara Fabian is not French-Canadian.
Thank you for another Celine reaction! 🫶🙏 You reacted to the video, but I'm sure you'd like the live version even more. If I were you I'd react to the one from The Tonight Show in 1990 ( where she wore a black dress). It was her very first appearance in the American tv! 😎💪
@@SaeedReacts. I subscribed to your channel and the notifications are on. I will be back for another Celine reactions for sure 😎😉💪I've been a fan for more than 20 years now, so if ypu ever need any recommendation, I'm here 😁😎 I know all songs and her best live performances in a good quality to pick for a good listen
You have the perfect example of the Biggest diffence between Mariah Céline Withney and Aretha Franklin Céline Withney Aretha has such a monstrous powerful voice compared to Mariah who doesn't have that quality she has others quality but NOT not power in her voice
Well said, I have never found Mariah's singing voice very powerful like with Celine, Whitney and Aretha, she can certainly sing in her own level but when it comes to powerful siningn voice Mariah fails deeply in this case, but Mariah has other talents what she can do with her voice and others maybe not.
Hello from Mexico City, Celine Dion the best. ❤
I was lucky to have seen her in concert in Montreal 1999 and she was phenomenal ❤🎶
With a career that spans over 4 decades, Céline is a complete vocal beast 👑❤️ Thank you so much for your reaction btw!! 🥰🥰
Incredibly beautiful and talented person
My first experience with Celine. I was shocked at her power. And the emotion of her performance. Been a fan ever since.
So much power!
The AMAZING thing is that she's one of the few who is even better live!!!!!!!!!!

thanks. I thought I read that years ago. love her so.
❤❤❤ Celine was and is still the best vocalist out there to date
She’s absolutely brilliant Saeed, I’ve been lucky enough to see her live 3 times in England. She puts her heart and soul into every performance !
Amazing you got to see her a few times. Memories to cherish.
It’s the insane resonance that’s mind blowing.
100%
Best live version of this song is absolutely the Juno awards one. Amazing

Thanks so much for introducing me to this one.
The power she has is just incredible.
And i never knew about these chest bumps. 😃
Thanks again!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Happy Weekend, Saeed! This song was from her first album and an instant hit just like she was and still is! Been fan since she hit the scene.
Happy weekend!
Great song!

her 1993 performance of i cant help falling in love has to be one of my favorite live vocals ever. Check it out!
Will add that one to my list. Thanks!

Love Angela Lansbury too!
Thanks for watching! Have a great day!
Angela sang *in* the film, Celine sang the duet for the Soundtrack.
You should react to some of her french songs, "Pour que tu m'aime encore " is a very heart felt song although you might not understand the words
I do speak French, but its not as fluent as my Dutch or English. Hope i can check some of those out too.
Hardly recognised her. She was definitely young there 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Me neither. The voice was there though 😄
@bazkeen

she had a really famous club song on this album called unison ,and her first English hit
It's all coming back to me now is great but if you watch video choose the longer version!
Thanks for the tip. In this case I went with the link provided in the request.
