I like the fact that you were honest about the bait not catching much. I do realize their are good days and bad in fishing but some videos I swear the guys have precaught fish and placed them on their limb lines etc.
Thank you. There's a tremendous amount of fake, BS on RUclips just to get more views. I just show what I do and let people decide for themselves.
Hell, Some videos look like the guy went to a fish market and brought their biggest fishes from right over the counter, set them on a few hooks, and then filmed themselves pulling them out the water

I'v fished the TN river for almost 50 years and helped trotline sense I was young and we used the cheese back then but we cut up small spunges in 1/2 squares and blended in our cheese and used it with great success. Just thought you might try a little
Good looking bait. I use cat tail fluff for my fiber & buy cheese scraps at a local cheese factory. Tight lines & great video🙂
The day I go fishing I simply catch a couple of frogs put him in a pail with the lid on and go fishing for channel catfish. I live in the province of Manitoba in Canada and find that's the simpler the better. Frogs always work. Thanks for your video meat eater I watch them all.
Man I have been waiting for this video! I can't afford a barrel cheese, but I can buy some cheap cheese at Walmart (not Cheese Food or any of that fake stuff that doesn't melt) and cook it down, maybe add some Limburger Cheese to it and add cotton to firm it up and see what happens.
Your bad luck day... don't worry about it, water temps could have been off or moon was in a different phase, there are many reason why the same bait used in the same way in the same place works better one time and not so good another. This is why they call it "Fishing" and not "Catching". God Bless my friend.

Someone should start putting the catfish cheese or ready made punch bait into smaller containers that will fit into a medium or large US post office flat rate shipping box because those only cost around $15 to ship anywhere in the lower 48 states.
Thats a great idea! You'd need to find a secure container that would fill up the box . I'll do some Internet research and see what I can find.
I just got my bucket of cheese and I bought 3 Nets from Memphis Nets I was watching your video on how to use the cheese if you got to try out the just straight cheese with cotton fiber I believe the cheese straight cheese would be better I was just wondering about your results that was a good video whereabouts did you get the trout oil from this is Darren Huffman from the Ozarks
I've always wanted to try to make my own punch bait . I'm wondering what a little soured maze/milo juice would do mixed with the cheese. I know it would stink pretty good. Ha ha

Try limberger cheese and minnows and mix it together and use a stick to stir it . And wear gloves because it smells horrific

Trapper if you prebaited the hooks and froze them would that help as a slow release chum and keep the bait on hook ? I use a 12 inch contained PVC pipe filled with spoiled livers to chum an area. Thanks ! ! !
Interesting idea. Would need testing to see if the hook would still set with a glob of semi frozen bait on it.
It would not set at first but as the bait unthawed it would. I drill holes in that PVC pipe and if possible chum an area the day before. Thanks for another great video ! ! !
A lot of people chum up an area with ground up bait when running Trot Lines. The good bait is on the hook but the chum is so small they can't eat it, just smell it and it drives them nuts until they can find the hook.
Bill, I also freeze my chum in a PVC pipe (reusable w/ holes). It seems to last longer and I do it the day before.

That's a good idea but it don't matter if you are not fishing more then 4 or 5 hours. I can't leave my rigs over night because someone would take them. But too...I use circle hooks and get robbed a lot if I don't stay and watch my trot line. I have floats every 15 ft and when a float goes down I know what part of the line to check. You will catch much more if you watch over it closely.
Im curious if I was seeing corn kernals in the jar,if not corn,what are the little round pieces? Thanks for any advice

I have a question is it ok to spray paint traps. I have some conibears and I don't want to wax them because then they'll be to slippery and I don't want them to rust out. any tips
Yes. Absolutely. I normally dip mine in Formula One brown dip before the season and then I use spray paint for touch ups until season end. You are right to NEVER wax bodygrips.
