yes, i am sick of watching all the other podcasts where they only praise ange if theres a win. and they dramatize every draw or loss. we are losing against a fellow european team, we are still losing certain players and certain players still playing back to form.
Another extremely objective and balanced video again gentlemen. Thank you. Angeball is so much better than the dross of last season notwithstanding the frustrations, inconsistencies and sometimes heavy defeats. My five cents: 1) Werner is 28 and his shooting won't improve. Personally I would not exercise his option. There must be better alternatives. Perisic always looked more threatening and willing to take on his man, and put in better crosses. Perisic couldn't defend but Werner often loses the ball and when he does he can't get it back and it's tended to be consequential 2) Sonny is being marked out of the game when he's forced to play centrally, mainly because he's not physically strong enough. When it's played on the left he doesn't get man-marked as much, receives the ball and moves into dangerous areas 3) Porro and Romero need competition for their places. Porro can raise his game, as he did after he scored vs Forest, but too often he goes missing 4) but the biggest worry to me, and as some of you say, is our susceptibility to set pieces, especially corners. We don't have big, tall players who can clear the ball, nor at the other end to attack the ball. In the Forest game such was the lack of confidence to score from corners that we always resorted to a short corner. So while I believe in Ange, I feel for him to maintain a line of no concern about set pieces (either defending or attacking) is disappointingly disingenuous. Given your calls/expectations for Spurs priorities for next season, I'd love to see Conor Gallagher and Ivan Toney. Apparently the latter could be available for much less now? And I'd love Brian Mbeumo. Have Spurs ever had a Brian?
Seeing this podcast for the first time and have to say it is fun! Fritz Meinecke, Simon Cowell and Walter White are an efficient trio to round up hope for the end of the season. looking forward for more 😊 COYS!
Aa per norm balanced & perceptive👍Lest we forget we're a team in transition & despite the unpleasant hobbles we may encounter along the journey we must stay the course. These are exciting times. Let's embrace it fully. COYS❤
Well done lads, restoring calm , St James’s Park is a tough place to go, and we had a bad day 😢 Can’t wait for next season, Ange knows what he needs and what to do….he’s got this 🤩🤩🤩
There is nothing wrong with Ange's ideas. Individual errors and poor execution is letting us down. Possession based teams like the top 3 have exactly the same problems as us. Theirs are minimised more because the manager has acquired the right personnel and they've had years of playing this way. Just because fans have anxieties and a lack of understanding of how we're playing doesn't make what Ange is trying to do wrong. Given time, the right personnel and hard work on the training ground Ange will position us to be successful. Great talk lads.
@@OhSoSpurs I agree but he needs to be very careful telling the press that top 4 is not all that and wants to be challenging the top 3 for the prem NEXT season, stay humble Ange.
You guys are great! You are the only Spurs podcast I listen to. All the others are like Chicken Little! The sky won't fall under Ange. Suck it up you so-called fans. And for those who don't get it, please list all the team's achievements with your endless list of trophy managers.
Agree with Stu, the players were not brave enough with the ball and reluctant to make something happen when off the ball. Altogether too fearful of making a mistake. Players were getting ahead of their achievements. This was so unlike an Ange team. You can be sure he will respond firmly. Better routines on corners are desperately needed. Patience, they can only improve.
You have to have faith in Anges vision, as tough as it is.. I feel he is still tinkering with his squad and also giving some players every chance to show him they can grow or adapt.. come the summer I believe he will be ruthless with any player who cant or wont fit.. I dont believe harmony is an issue as most players appear to be all in.. in Ange we must trust 🙏
If Spurs are serious , we need Gil,Lecelso,Hojbjerg,Werner,Skipp,Sessegon & Royal GONE in summer > Need to bring a No6 like Rodri or Palhinha (Bissouma as a back up) Need a striker (Sonny can go back to the left, Richy can stay as a back up) A number 10 to compete with Maddison. (Le celso isnt reliable or good enough) A back up full back for Porro & Udogie and another left footed CB to back up and help VDV if required. 7 OUT 5 back IN.
I do think there is no excuse for Maddison not playing well regardless of the game. I actually think we need him to stand up against these compressed defences because he is one of our creative players. We need him to be creating. I’m not being critical of him over the season, because overall there is more good than bad. But no excuses for not putting in enough effort. If we want to be a contender for the title everyone needs to strengthen and play better. Take responsibility for winning the game. I enjoyed the show as always. Good analysis. No overreacting madness. Great stuff. ⚪️👍
When games finish, its history only. What matters is the next game(s).AngeBall led the competition( an easy draw, beating the teams they should have beat, bar Liverpool which wasn't a win)...So, bumps bruises suspensions became reality and consistency has gone...the squad was too thin and lacked an up front quality finisher(20-25 goals)...We will see how things go over the remaining games 4th/5th/ or maybe 6th?...a run of wins or losses/draws can make a certain difference....AngeBall has no mystery, oppositions know whats required,SPURSY have to take it to a higher level to get any better.
Cannot put my finger on it but the team just don't seem to be playing with the same vigor or hunger. Madders has simply gone AWOL since return from injury, very Leceister like. Indeed, the early season form did come about from Madders creativity which is seriously lacking. I can see Ange benching fan favorites from here to the end of the season if players don't start lifting their game. I think a few players who were now star performers are also starting drop off so the squad may not be as strong as first thought.
Agree completely re Madders, just doesn't seem happy on the pitch which makes me wonder if something off the pitch is impacting him. I think Ange needs to start benching a few. What is the point in having a big squad if those on the bench don't get a chance/more than 5 mins.
I have seen City struggle against the low block, Ange needs to realise that this is NOT going to go away. The other managers will have watched the Fulham and the Newcastle games, I am concerned what is Ange going to to about it ? he seems very stubborn and protective to his system so not the sky falling in, but it does present a problem.
Well done lads, only post I watched this week as I could not be bothered with the cliche the sky is falling 😉
Thanks Peter 😅 in Ange we trust. COYS
Well said mate I trust ange100%

Ah appreciate that, we do try not to get sucked into the panic and hysteria 😉

Thanks Gary! We try stay on the sensible lane 😅
Oh my God, this is so refreshing not having to listen to Spurs fans having aneurysms about losing One game.
That’s the very reason I watch this channel. The sky is not falling in.
Thanks Jayne. COYS

100%. Lucky to have Ange. Too many fans think we are Man City!
Ange is doing everything possible to be sacked.Lets see his plan to beat arsenal at home !! @@OhSoSpurs

Agree. Give him time. He’s still mostly working with a squad full of holes that he inherited. COYS

rattybb3694 Perfect, couldn’t have put it better with your 7 out 5 in, then when we are like Man City some of the must keeps will be back-ups.
Oh, and Spence!

I don't think Richie nor Son are good against a low block
What about getting Deli Ali back on a free?? Could do a lot worse.
Love him but not for us! Wrong type of player and appears to be consciously shifting away from playing and into a post player career. COYS
NO just NO
