    That line through the canyon is mega-impressive and beyond insane how close you guys get to the rocks below, especially your partner who is flying at a slightly lower height. I have no words, spine-tingling to watch or toe-curling are some of the expressions that come to mind. The equal parts exciting and dangerous aspect of wingsuit flying is that you can not gain height, and only follow the glide slope of the suit, so the angle of the terrain slope being so closely matched to the glide slope and at such proximity is the very definition of extreme adrenaline! Only Isle of Mann TT racing rivals this, and even there the riders have much more control possible since they are not at the mercy of gravity and wind.

    • @chetwalther-ep9zb
      @chetwalther-ep9zb Год назад

      This is fake.

    • @Simon-bu4kc
      @Simon-bu4kc Год назад +3

      I personally would argue that the Isle of Man TT is more dangerous since limits are pushed there and there are at least as much if not more exterior factors who can kill you in a split-second. I don't have a lot of knowledge about wingsuit flying but first and foremost it's simple math: glideslope > terrainslope. if I had to guess i'd say the risk of turbulence or strong winds is smaller than you'd expect due to the close proximity to the ground and your overall small affected area (compared to a big paraglider oder miniwing). if I were forced to chose for me personally it would be wingsuiting anytime even though I'm a formidable bike rider.

      You can see how close the lead guy is to his shadow in places (@0:43). I wonder what percentage of the jump point that distance was? Less than 5% I'm guessing, which is a way too narrow a margin. I always look at the date these videos were uploaded, and feel relieved when it is recent as it means there's more chance they person we are looking at is still alive. Winston Churchill once said, 'Nothing is more exhilarating than to be shot at without result.' This is a bit like that, except these guys are holding the gun that is shooting at them.

    • @kennethfharkin
      @kennethfharkin 2 года назад +1

      @@Quotenwagnerianer Exactly. They are making bad percentage gambles every time that their insufficient human evolved reactions will account for the numerous variables as they push themselves closer and closer to the terrain in order to get the same rush. That rush of course and it dump of adrenaline into their system is a drug which they need to have hits of again and again but every time they must push harder for the same rush. Eventually they die.
      1:500 jumps is the death rate.
