Thank you for the video. I have a pair of Mollies that were labeled 24 Karat Gold Mollies. The male has black markings and the females only has a few. They had babies and some are all black and some all gold and some mixed.
I found Molly's that were black from their fins back to the tail the front is gold and under the light it actually Shimmers I actually just had baby fry I moved them to a 10 gallon tank the temperature is 80 to 82 degrees my husband said maybe I'm over feeding them most of the food drops to the bottom and I don't see them picking at it I tried to make in tank water with yeast it stayed very cloudy and the smell was horrible I did feed it a time or two but they didn't seem to go after it so I stopped PetSmart doesn't carry live Foods they don't care for red worms at all
I found mollys too aggressive & trying to find my lonely platy some mates is hard as the ones in the store were sick, I have someone claiming they are selling starburst mollys which I have only seen Starburst platys having either that or a mickey mouse. have you heard of a starburst molly? Ty from Windsor Ontario
I have not but when making this video I learned there are many variations and many names for similar types. It very well could be a hybrid that someone bred that they thought was similar to the Platy version
@@TheAquaticCoder Thanks that's what I thought too. My oldest salt and pepper cory is slowly on his way out leaving only 1 like my 1 panda. It's sad that with all the fish stores here in Windsor closed only leaving PetSmart, My tank is down to 1 platy 2 golden tetras, and 9 albinos & 8 green Corys, but hopefully, I think I may have found a couple plays threw an online seller. Thanks again and be safe tomorrow's eclipse,
@@TheAquaticCoder Thanks having had many fresh water since 10 in 77. I truly loved a mixed tank till as I said many would turn after years so there was a pet store here now closed that would take and resell not even trading for food or anything, I am hoping to get more tomorrow as my husband does not like getting them from others tanks even though I have done this for years. Better not to rock the boat, Have a carful day tomorrow with the eclipse.
@@lionheart650 unfortunately they are warm water fishes.. So if u want to keep fish without heater you can keep zebra danio and rosy barb... But temp should not go below 18 degree celsius (keep indoors)
I've always kept a heater with my Mollies. Both species can tolerate temperatures in the low 70's. 68 is probably the minimum. So it depends on the temperature of the room they will be in. If it will always be 70+ then they will not need a heater. If it gets below 70 then I think you should have one for them
I have a orange sale fin molly with a tail that has long parts off the tail not rounded it keeps breeding with my dalmatian molly with the short ppints coming off the tail. But all baby's are dalmatian mollys but all with difrent tails. And 1 outta 30 will have same body and tale as the dad. But all colors of the mom

I got a question is it rare to have a Molly with the yellow head, black body and gray tail?
I really appreciate your work. Thanks a lot
Great video man
Thank you!
Great video thanks
Hello Sir.. do Mollies & Guppys Need A Heater?. Great video man.
In general yes. Both can handle temperatures down to about 68 F. If your room temperature stays at or above that all year around you could forgo one
I'd like to see a similar video about Platy's

I think they were gold fish but molly also fresh fish.
Disadvantage of molly fish : a little cold water and they will get white spots
How to fix this in winter without heater

Yeahhh but they have high tolerance in high ammonia water and acidic water
thats ich bro , pretty much every fish is kept between 70-80 degrees
Are swordtails mollies or they are different variety altogether? Or is it a species of platy?
I think they are their own species

Yea, it's called genetics. There are dominant and recessive traits. Google it, it's fun
My orange sail fin Molly is the same. He loves all his girlfriends 😂
I would 100% mistake the Atlantic Molly with a Guppy
🙏😎
Can all this mollies interbreed?
I don't know for sure but most probably can
Can all of these Molly species be transferred into saltwater?
Salt water?
0 freshwater fish can
@@dimitrijekrstic7567 I think some mollies can go in more brackish water
