There are downloadable mapping presets for traktor and ableton on the DJtechtools website. And because its a midi controller you can re-map it yourself if you wanted to change any of the functions to your own preferance
To be honest, I thought the same thing when I first bought mine. However I've played out multiple times with this thing and I've never had this problem. It's a damn solid controller.
you all prolly dont care but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an instagram account? I somehow lost the account password. I would love any tips you can offer me.
@Kyler Messiah Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Check out DJTechTool's website. They're discontinuing the Midi Fighter Classic(but will still support them) and they've dropped the price from $189USD to $124USD. There's less than 150 of them left. It's a great deal too, good luck!
Well whatever would be the best for a beginner I suppose. I know that for the midi fighter 3d and the launchpad this would be Ableton Live, but I don't know as for the maschine.
Hey. I plan on producing music such as dubstep, would you reccomend buying a midi fighter 3d, a maschine mikro or a launchpad as my first? Thans in advance
do you know what version of Traktor DJ Tech Tools is using because i want to buy one and i also waht to buy the same thing as him/them because im really new to this
Liam, have you received the MF yet? I'm having a hard time deciding if I want a launchpad pro or a MF64. I don't have experience with programming sounds to pads yet and I don't own any of them but, I was wondering which you would recommend? I figure that if I want to buy any of these pad machines that I would get the full experience out of it since I can program the 64 keys to just a 4x4 until I get comfortable enough to extend to 6x6, then 8x8. without coughing up extra cash by buying multiple pads.
Hey cotts can anyone help me i've just purchased a midi fighter 3d using with traktor pro 2 and having some issues. I downloaded the instant gratification mapping from DDTT and when i play the midi fighter i get an internal sound from traktor coming from my laptop making weird growling noises when i trigger buttons !?! Also each deck i assign on the midifighter doesn't correspond with the deck in traktor and its not the same mapping that i'm used to with each page, something different!! PLZ HELP
I just ordered mine and am gonna use VIrtualDJ 8, so can someone show me a tutorial of how to do everything I'll need to do to make music like this please!
this shit looks efing amazing but dont you think it would be a bit frustrating having to pick it up nd put it down every time you want to activate and change the parameter of the effect??? and keep track if you've got any effect engaged when you go to play with it??? @Djcotts
Imagine if you wanted to put your soul into your mix. You could hold it in both hands, and mix, as the music moves you, which moves the music. AKA Dance with that stuff ;)
It depends but if you´re only gonna do live stuff like djing i´d go for the Midi Fighter because its cheaper and you don´t really need the extra stuff you get with maschine but if you want to produce your own music and do things like that i´d go for the maschine if you are willing to pay the price.
“It’s basically a MIDI fighter classic on steroids” LOL 0:23
ive just been watching this video for 4 days straight.
i want to keep getting excited to open it on christmas

Can you do a video of how to get started with everything?
Honestly I thought that motion in a controller like that sounded gimmicky, but after watching you demo it, it seems to really give useful control.
To be honest, I thought the same thing when I first bought mine. However I've played out multiple times with this thing and I've never had this problem. It's a damn solid controller.
thanks for the great video cotts - glad you like our new controller :)

Yes it may be cool and fun to use but I think using knobs and fader is still waaaay easier. Don't mean to hate still a really nice controller.
did u get all the basic effeckts in tracktor scratch pro?
do you know what version of Traktor DJ Tech Tools is using because i want to buy one and i also waht to buy the same thing as him/them because im really new to this
Jeebus, you make it look so easy....
You always need software, probably traktor or serato. Works with ableton aswell
What song was he using the effects with? I wanna sample that
Whats the song @ 6:10, when he holds the controller? Thanks in advance!
Indeed you are here's your nobel peace prize!

do you need software to use the controller if so what software
its a midi, which means you can do what ever you want with it
they should make a turnatable that works with the controller
Hi, I don't really understand the utility of a midi fighter, can you explain me ? :)
Which song is he using? I really like it!
+Krazy
CLSM- I Will Wait
Seems appropriate considering it took me a year to respond
+Caleb1915 haha thanks :')
how long does it take to ship to your house
I mean, is it just used to control effects ?
I just ordered mine and am gonna use VIrtualDJ 8, so can someone show me a tutorial of how to do everything I'll need to do to make music like this please!
can you use Traktor LE 2 ?
Dammit, I LOVE new gear.
this shit looks efing amazing but dont you think it would be a bit frustrating having to pick it up nd put it down every time you want to activate and change the parameter of the effect??? and keep track if you've got any effect engaged when you go to play with it??? @Djcotts
If you plug it in to a plug on socket will it work or do you need to plug it in to computer?
Lol computer not outlet.
What song are you playing?
holy shit this looks mint
First song?
Seems really gimmicky. I'm curious to see if Cotts will actually use the movement effects in a mix.
The Teenage Engineering OP-1 has an accelerometer.
do u happen to know if it works with sarato dj and ddj sx
David Tasker it would work with anythng that uses midi?
Work with I pad?
I NEED THIS!!!
I agree. Both your hands are busy, plus you constantly risk dropping the thing. It's gimmicky.
only black colour ?
That is crazy!
How much costs it?
SONG NAME?
they should do a wireless version xD
Imagine if you wanted to put your soul into your mix. You could hold it in both hands, and mix, as the music moves you, which moves the music. AKA Dance with that stuff ;)
He should put his top 50 songs on his channel
LMAOO!
Ravine you kick ass on any dvs man

Nope all the major dj programs and ableton
You can actually plug n play to logic pro X
this is real cool
awesome salute.
Hello DjCotts
Midi fighter is need download the music in it.
Haha. Well, you compensate all the effects he has by your level of turntablism. Don't worry.
why does ableton have to be so expensive? :(
I was going to get a Traktor F1, but I think after this I might grab the mf 3d!
Midi fighter or maschine ?
It depends but if you´re only gonna do live stuff like djing i´d go for the Midi Fighter because its cheaper and you don´t really need the extra stuff you get with maschine but if you want to produce your own music and do things like that i´d go for the maschine if you are willing to pay the price.
Hi! :)
best thing ever

coooool
How's your face mr cott?
MF3d FTW
I don't think I have time to tilt the damn thing while doing my magic, it takes way too much time.
u know your pro when your comment has more thumbs up then the vid :D
somebody is a purepwnage fan xD
Last in Life.
Lmao love how cotts can just mess about reviewing this and STILL make better effects than i can trying very hard lmao :L
4:36 Track ID
finish watching the video...
As cool as it looks, I don't see how the motion tracking could actually be practical.
great video man!.....but - lolpc =(
hahaha 0:17 :D
falls off table. Mapped filtering goes fucking crazy
DJTechTools. Google it, you'll find there site. :3
