Absolutely great game for both teams. Very tense and entertaining. And the goalies were fantastic today, not only Bob but also Woll. 2 miracles from Florida in this playoff. Boston and Toronto were evident favorites. Keep going Panthers!

It all comes back to what the league considers to be a distinct kicking motion. In years past, even turning your skate to direct the puck was enough to have a goal waved off. That’s changed considerably, where players are now permitted to intentionally deflect pucks in - even to move their skate to do so, provided they’re not propelling the puck into the net.
Its good to be the underdog in the playoffs. The more humble you are, the further you can go. Thats how Bob and the Panthers approach their games. Their situation is very similar to that of the SL Blues in 2019.

It looks like Greater Miami have 2 good sport related news:
1. NHL: In Toronto, the Cats have eliminate the Leafs 4-1 in Round 2 and has advanced to the overall semifinals which is the conference finals.
2. NBA: Meanwhile in Miami, the Miami Heat have eliminate the New York Knicks 4-2 and have to wait for either Boston or Philly to take on the Heat in the conference finals.
Both the heat and the cats being 8 seed teams, who were on the verge of missing the playoffs!

This isn't a case of the best team vs. the hottest team at all. Remember that other than the Tkachuk/Huberdeau deal, this is the same Panther club that won the President's last year. For all the talk of the Leafs' "Big Four," they and the Rangers went for broke at the deadline (at the expense of my Blues nonetheless), and fell flat unconscious on their face in the end.
This is a Fantastic lesson for ALL You young hockey players out there, CHEAT TO WIN! Thanks NHL!

Hats off to Bob. Leafs played really well in this game and in a couple others. It's a shame things had to end the way they did. Never trade Willy, buddy steps up even if the shots don't always go in. Proud of this team overall, hope it gets better from here. Good luck to the Panthers the rest of their way. Underdogs twice in a row, will surely be underdogs again vs the Canes but that hasn't stopped them yet. Gonna be a fun series.
Much as I wanted the Leafs to win this series, I am grateful to the Panthers for eliminating Boston. A Panthers Stanley Cup would be a fitting end to this season.

Kudos to Leafs for not giving up easily. Panthers are a well-organized team, great coaching, great goaltending, Bob has no nerves, and coach Maurice is very smart

As a Boston fan, I had mistakenly thought the Bruins lost because they played terribly. The Panthers are the real deal and play a punishing pressure game that wears down opponents and then there's Bobrovosky...Florida is going to win the cup.

An offensive chance in OT with a very quick "tangled stick" scenario is not only hard to catch but highly unlikely to be called. That's playoff hockey, and you either have guys who know how to play it or you don't.

@Crumbeard because of two things. The whistle was blown before that moment everyone sees, and two, you can shove the goaltenders pad with your stick to move the puck across the line.

Broke up centering pass then freight trained down the other end spraying ice in goalies face then laying the screen. Incredible play. Except screaming in Woll's face afterward. That was bush league.
