Aren't treaties the supreme law of the land as stated in art. 6 of the constitution ? Its been 40 years ago since I read it but I remember in the Hylton vs. ? the SC ruled that the treaty also stated that in spite of the English losing, that all debts owed to them were still due and must be paid in sterling silver. Love you channel. Can you explain the Erie Railroad vs. Thompkins case that said there is no general federal common law anymore Or something like that.
I’m a bit behind because I’ve been trying to upgrade my camera and audio. But I think Erie is one I’ve worked with. Let me check. I’ll try to get it in there. Just not sure where it is topic wise. It may not feel like it (I know it doesn’t) but I am building toward something. Just a little trial and error to find the best way to get there some days.
