@@YourReviewCentral it's funny though I found the owner's manual and this is what it said. Because I'm just using it for cooling. The self-evaporating system uses the collected water to cool the condenser coils for better efficient performance. It is no need to empty the drainage tank in cooling operation except in drying operation and high humidity conditions. The condensate water evaporates at the condenser and is evacuated through the exhaust hose.
@@computerproatx yes that much depends on where you live. If you are down south, like Florida, you'll have to empty the device since that could lead into not a good moisture for you to breath. But overall, you should be good.
That's a very good question that I'm not sure I can answer properly. I know it's 115 volts but I don't know the usage on watts. You should refer to the product manual for that. Sorry!
My brother’s an electrician, US. He said amps x volts = watts. My Samsung fridge pulls 5.3 max amps and it’s 115 AC volts, so that’s 610 watts max. Appliances can surge above the max. This model runs at 300-800 watts per specs, so 800 watts would be the surge. Hope that helps.
Hi! It could be literally both or one of those. It should work if none of those things are due or missing. Hope you can fix the issue! It's a great unit!
Hi! This one should have come with the hose (of course) and if I'm not mistaken a tray inside as well. I worked with three models so I'm trying not to mix them all together. But ultimately you will want the hose. You can easily get a replacement online for sure and should be super cheap too. That's the best option
@@darrenbaird6050 personally I don't use it. It's "recommended" but not mandatory. If you plan to use it for long periods of time then yes, you need to use it. But for a couple hours not needed. Hope it helps!
I used a saw I have with small dents for plastic. If you don't have tools the best but maybe not super saf3 way would be to heat a long knife and cut through the plastic with the hot metal. Hope that helps!
@@akeem741 I honestly didn't see a considerable increment. But I also live in a place that gets really hot and also have a Pool with the pump running for quite some hours. Can't really tell, sorry! 8,000/10,000 BTU for a 400/500 SQ FT room shouldn't be so bad. Above 1000 SQ FT could be a little.
It would have been more helpful if you showed or pointed out more that you had to cut the window panel piece.
OK I'm sorry this was not helpful for you. Thanks
How do you drain it if you're not using a drain hose?
You can use the drain hose or just remove the tray and clean it like once a week. Honestly, the drain hose is much better if you are not lazy haha

How much watts does this use on the various AC cold settings?

@@SoundofSilence492 thank you for this! Great info. Loved it!
how much does it weight
About 47 LBS
Can you put the drain plug into the window plate?
You could, but it's recommended to lay in a flat position or not too elevated
do you use a continuous drain? or not needed?
You can! It comes with the package. But it's not mandatory. I do, it's easier that way.
Do you have to take the screen out of the window?
Nope. Just make sure that the size of your window matches and you just need to leave it open and install the panel. That's it.
If it doesn’t cool my room does that mean the air filter needs to be changed or is it low on Freon
Hi! It could be literally both or one of those. It should work if none of those things are due or missing. Hope you can fix the issue! It's a great unit!
Did the window vent attachments come with it or did you have to buy it separately
Everything came with the package. Thanks!
How wide is the exhaust hose? Is it 5.1 inches or another diameter? And will the window slider extent up to 55 inches?
Hi! This one is a 5.1 inch and the max of the slider is 50 inches. Hope that helps!
I have this ac but I lost the manual, how do you drain the water out without using the hose? My ac keeps leaking all over the floor

Do you have to stick the hose out the window....or can you just leave it off the unit?
