    Great review! I’ve been looking to play with the expansions after getting the Titan box, and now I know exactly what setup to play with

    I picked up the titan box during the campaign and definitely don’t regret it. Fits perfectly over my vindication all in box in a kallax.
    Back to the point of price, the titan box is expensive as all big boxes are for what it is even if the setup and storage are much better

      The price of this KS put off a lot of people. And if you buy Titan, you are also stuck with Nomad.

    One more thing. Combining all micro expansions is like overload 2.0. They are giving you extra mechanics, you won’t find in a base games and big expansions.

    And head to head is one of the finest contracts when you are playing 5+

    Found your suggestion on the insert bit!
    Although because our pledge came with the expansions already in the Titan box - so we don’t even get to have the expansion inserts like you do.
    Anyway, I will see if I can figure out the storage. The insert is a massive let down. Especially when they advertised that ks exclusive Titan box was meant to be well designed

      Yeah I've heard negative feedback on the Titan box insert - I'm glad they sent me the base game and expansions separately then (which I must admit is kind of weird, you'd think it would be cheaper for them to send the Titan box)

      What are all you crazy people talking about 😂 I assume there is then a retail version, Titan Version (this looks the same as the Titan Kickstarter version) I have the Titan Kickstarter version which came with the 3 expansions (no boxes) but the storage for the cards (which is different from your review version) has plenty of room for all cards sleeved and spare empty space for the new expansion. All I can say track down a Titan Kickstarter version. I do however agree it's not a cheap game, Titan version £193 ouch! You can bling it up even more for more cost - metal dice, metal ships and metal tokens, more money - maybe not worth it.

      @@thehandoflenin I have the titan ks edition and I was exactly saying how rubbish the insert and size of that one is. And it just felt disappointing when they literally charge you for this titan box claiming it to be ultimate storage solution that it turns out so rubbish. I think Luke's version is better. probably fits everything together better than this crappy titan box.
      They really should look at how people store games like Arkham horror LCG or inserts that 3rd party made. Right now its just a pile of junk that removing them is also an issue because this titan box is too massive relative to the contents there.

    I've only played the base game (and don't own it). Regarding Nomad (which as mentioned I haven't played), isn't the whole point of that expansion having more control over the types of contracts you pick up? Luke didn't comment much on that aspect of it, and that's what I thought its main selling point was.
    As far as cost, I have the option to buy the titan edition with the base game for $200. Does that make the package more cost effective for what you get? I think it's closer to $270 if you buy it straight from IV Studios.

    • @TheBrokenMeeple
      @TheBrokenMeeple  4 месяца назад +1

      You get 8 contracts on show in the normal game and you can see what they need ahead of time.
      In Nomads you only reveal 3 contracts WHEN YOU VISIT the sector. So yes you can guarantee you're getting a type you need, but no idea what is required until you look at it.

    Hello Luke! Question, do you think you can fit the base game with tray and sleeves with Binding Ties?

    • @TheBrokenMeeple
      @TheBrokenMeeple  4 месяца назад +1

      How do you mean? You mean use the original insert if you only get Binding Ties?..........I feel that would be feasible, there aren't that many cards and the boards should fit on top fine i reckon.

    • @paolobingham3045
      @paolobingham3045 4 месяца назад

      @@TheBrokenMeeple Yes! That's what I meant. Worse case I can do without the insert or keep the expansion box but I was hoping to get Binding Ties and fit the contents into the original box with base tray. Thank you!

    Curious, what is your overall rating of the base game plus expansions not including nomad?

    I don’t think you get it. Nomad is a top expansion. You can build your deck more strategically. And events is the best thing in a game.

    • @TheBrokenMeeple
      @TheBrokenMeeple  Месяц назад

      Just use Overload, you have all the strategic deck building you need.

    They should be closer to 15 bucks. Not 40.

    Everything this company does is far...FAR...FAR too expensive. But the people are nice and very helpful with their products. The components are nice, but unless they were made in the western world with ethical labour there's no real defense of the cost, especially for a card playing game like this.

    • @TheBrokenMeeple
      @TheBrokenMeeple  5 месяцев назад +2

      Not going to deny, the price is a bit extreme. Many creators won't comment on price point at all, they just let it slide and assume everyone is a millionaire.

      @@TheBrokenMeepleI just can't believe it with these games, I have 3 of their games and I'm no stranger to spending money stupidly on games, but these ones always make me blush. Again, the team is excellent and supportive, but man. Moonrakers was their first game, and when I seen their price I said nope and ignored it until it was reprinted and highly regarded.

    When a game with no theme uses complex words to add "theme" is like a bad action movie with excessive CGI

      I take you're referring to my Isospheres comment! :-) I think of it more as "using big words to sound more intelligent"!
