Is there a reason you don't pultrude directly off the bottle as it's being cut? For example, the Recreator does this. It seems like unneeded steps to spool the tape then unspool it again.
Yes. The thickness of the strip is considerably thick and it really needs high force to do both pulltruding and cutting in the same time. Also I want to control the width of the strip when cutting it because even the 0.5mm matters in thick strips. The last reason is I want to be sure that the strip is clean enough before pulltruding it. If not, I clean them twice or more until it seems clean enough.
Fyi the volume of a bottle has very little to do with the amount of material you can pull from it because of wall thickness and anything with co2 in it will have thicker walls The heaviest pet "bottle" you can get is a ~500g keg

Firstly, thank you for your answer. The process done here can be done for two purposes. First, for hobby purposes. Although many people like me can afford to buy filaments in various colors, they can do this job just for hobby purposes. Therefore, since it is done for hobby, it is a matter of fun, and it would be absurd to say why you are doing it. The second purpose is that, unfortunately, not everyone in the world has the chance to buy filament of every color as they want. Especially people living in poor countries. Therefore, being able to use the waste plastic bottle as filament in this way is an invaluable solution for him.

how well does the layer stick together? my print always break in half at the slightest pressure.
Not as good as PETG but better than ABS. Maybe you should consider to dry your PET filament before printing.

What is the recommended ration between nozzle and strip width? I can see you made it 4mm wide others make them at 12 😅. Confused.
Nozzle is 1.7mm. Strip width depends on the thickness of the pet material. Generally:
0.45mm -> 4mm
0.40mm -> 5mm
0.35mm -> 6mm
0.30mm -> 7mm
0.25mm -> 8mm
0.20mm -> 9mm
0.15mm -> 10mm
0.10mm -> 12mm
