YouTubers hype Stringjoy, but NOBODY mentions this... (unpaid, based on 'regular person' experience)

    Extra notes:
-the coated strings and the pure nickel strings are expensive for strings.
    -I think it's worth it
-i think d'addario xs coated strings (electric or acoustic) are every bit as good as these in overall quality

Hey. I just got stringjoy naturals.
I notice that these strings, on peg winder side, is not wrapped all the way to the end leaving the thin steel part of the string. Do I only wind that part of the string (thin steel part) or pull it thru’ a bit to include some of the wrapped part of the string in the winding? I’ve only used strings, such as, Elixer, which are wrapped all the way to the end. Hope that’s clear.. thank you!

I highly recommend trying them. I was an Elixir user for a long time. I recently switched to daddario XS phosphor bronze and they are amazing. Recently put Stringjoys on a not so great guitar and it made it sound so much better! I'll be honest I didn't like them at first but once I broke them in and got used to the feel, wow I love them. They even replaced a broken string for free! Who does that 😂 Stringjoy is amazing. I'm not getting paid to say that they really are great.

Elixir is not as good as I once thought. I never thought I'd say that because I loved them. They just sound dead in comparison to Stringjoys and daddario

Just ignore that extra string core that's sticking out. Pull the wound part of the string through the hole in the tuning peg the same way you would any other string, and cut off the excess.

But did opening the box realllly need to shake the cam? Also, i think that the strings definitely are ‘coded.’

Since I used a really long smartphone mount for a car that I clamped to the desk... Yes the shaking was unavoidable.

Have I ever heard of a company replacing a broken string? Yes , but even better.... A high E string broke while installing Elixir PB strings on my 12,-string acoustic. I just mentioned it to Sweetwater and they rushed out A COLPLETE SET of 12-string Elixirs. That's a set that cost about $25 just because a 25 cent string broke! So, yes, I've heard of that but far better. Talk about customer service!

That's fantastic, Sweetwater knows how it's done for sure
