Wow! This video was right on the money!!! After watching this, my HSDJet F16 works perfect! Oh also, hope you don't mind, I copied a link of this on Hobby Squawk in case some else was having the same problem I did. Great Job!
Very welcome!!! another little tip...I put my steering on its separate ch that way i can trim the steering to run straight down the runway without effecting rudder...So with 8ch, you can still do the same in the MFC2085 as well...go to the ch the rubber is on an you will see something like aux-1 (rudder) aux-2 is the steering and you can trim it from the mfc...draw back is you will have to stop the jet to trim it on the mfc then go again and repeat...I found it easier from the TX (forgive me im at work and dont have it in front of me)
Very nice john maybe one day for me ill work towards a turbine jet..and yep most def a lot of in depth wiring too sort out and go through..i guess its easy for some..but not so easy for thous who just swicthing over or transitioning over too turbine's for the 1st time brother..👊👊💯💯💯1000+ likes brother..
My pleasure, glad it helped. Let me know of anything else you can think of (video wise) that I can make to help out. Not too kuch out there on these or the HSDJETS. Please sub and tell you pals about this channell. I really appreciate it. Thanks!
Well, in that case. If a new never installed unit. Tou would go in there and tell it what surface for what aux you want to use. If from a crashed or pre programmed, you will ha e to go into each surface and see what aux goes to whay
I would bot use the AS#X from the receiver in the turbine...the RX WILL FAIL!!!! it even says on Horizons page when you look at the receiver "not for use in turbine" the rx is not shielded as it cant be since a receiver and the freq. from the noise of the turbine messes with it. if using a gyro use a stand alone like Bavarian demon or a spirit AERO like i did.
how did you disable sbus on the board to hook up your reciever the way you did??? i have a futaba t14sg and an sbus reciever and it wont connect to the board so i thought i woud usr my futaba 10 channel and a regular reciever and hook it up the way you did .when i turned it on all the sevos went one way and started buzzing ??? first jet and am perplexed
You don't have to disable the S Bus you'll have to remove the MFC off of the plane and you'll connect your receiver pwm into the input slits on the bottom portion of the MFC..look on page 07 of the mfc manual and page 10... page v10 lower left shows you the order channell 1 is "aux-1 on page 7...so aileron input goes on R-07, elevator R-08 and so forth
Also with futaba sbus compatible recievers.....some you have to switch the "mode" on the rx to have sbus enabled...on my r3008sb rx I have to switch I believe to mode 3 to have sbus
I have connected ail, ele and rud from the receiver (spektrum) to the R corresponding ports but it does not to power up the receiver. It powers on the HSD box but is not sending voltage to receiver. Is there something I am missing?
The board is setup to send power thru the throttle I believe. Try connecting to the throttle ch. And see if it powers up if not go into system setting on the mfc2085 and select "power setting" then "reciever" and make sure it's not "off"
@@bobby456gt get a multimeter and touch black to neg res to middle pin on the R ports see if registering 6.0v...if not contact who you got it from and ask for a replacment

More than likely I’ll never own a turbine but the way your breaking down your build makes me feel like I do lol. Great video and thanks for sharing
Awesome video mate I just got my l39 going because of ur advice 🤙🏻🇬🇧
That's great to hear! Thank you for watching and commenting mate, Cheers! 👊🇺🇸👍
Thanks for making this video. I'm installing mine now.

Question If you are using a AR14400 dual battery connection RX with the MFC, do you have to use two more bats to power the RX?
What if your using the unit on a none HSD AIRCRAFT how do you figure out which ports to plug into the unit from the aircraft ?
Well, in that case. If a new never installed unit. Tou would go in there and tell it what surface for what aux you want to use. If from a crashed or pre programmed, you will ha e to go into each surface and see what aux goes to whay
Hi noonz, i hav the hsd j-10 , all control surfaces Twitch , when the turbine is running specially during power changes.. any suggestions?
What reciever ya using? Is the RX away from other electronics, no nicked wires?
The J10 also has a Gyro to the surfaces just want to make sure the twitching isn't that
Hi Noonz every thing on my Hsd 120mm T33 works I tried pluging in R12 and Aux 6 and both just give tones! Can you tell me what i am doing wrong.
if you use the power distribution box will you be able to still use the gyro stabilization from the receiver ?
Yes
@@NoonzAirborneRC do you use this on a turbine jet? And are they reliable?
@@esskiahastings7974 yes i did...it came in a PNP turbine (HSDJETS super viper) i liked it so much i bought one to throw into and turbine i have.

So question,
On model type for spektrum are you selecting two rudders or one rudder for setting up the rudder and nose gear steering?
If using the mfc. On tx 1 rudder

I have Futaba. So I'll run the servos via Sbus. Does the Sbus2 port provide any telemetry data, volts, amps, current? Thanx
Hmmm if it was me....i run regular sbus to the mfc 2085 and run sbus 2 to your turbine. You'll get telemetry from the engine

Im betting the power setting is set to off...reason it's not sending piwer to the 'R' ports
