I am really spellbound by her logic, even when we men look thoroughly through our life we can find these things are so legitimate and no one even tried to raise these concerns (Most probably they thought that would not get much media attention like feminism). This is an actual, blunt, brutal, honest, and fantastic episode of this podcast series. not really agreed on dowry and the maintenance term. A woman who was forced to be a housewife , was tortured her whole life, somehow raised some courage and got divorced why she doesn't deserve maintenance ?

Discrimination against women starts right from birth through the mindset of the family, parents, and society. Even in so called middle and upper class families this is deep seeded. The backbone, the confidence of many women have been deeply impacted due to this! Till now we are discussing if girls can choose certain type of clothes or not 😢

I really wanted to comment or rather retaliate but on a second thought I chose not, with all due respect to the lady she should stop being baised and definitely not to generalize the society as a whole.

@@ritabrata46 I too have a son, when he was a little boy the only fear I had for him were pedophiles, when he was in class 2 he had pulled a girls hair in school six girls had attacked him, the school did not take any action neither did I but as they grew up they became best friends, all well established and are still in touch.
What I want to intimidate is there are many different ways to handle such sensitive issues the way the woman is portraying and trying to dwindle the whole institution of marriage is not acceptable. Though I totally agree with "the other side of the coin" theory, really you guys are in a pitiful situation, there are women who fought for justice be it rape, acid attacks... and many many more such issues.

On the other hand when such things are happening with men, hardly a few are getting highlighted or coming onto the surface. How many such incidents happening with males, are reported on newspaper/social media/TV reporting? On the other side of the coin, for females those are being. That's what she's trying to convey. If it's happening for females, same should happen for males.
It's not about bashing gender, rather to find common ground, sanctity, equality and peace between both the genders.

I am really spellbound by her logic, even when we men look thoroughly through our life we can find these things are so legitimate and no one even tried to raise these concerns (Most probably they thought that would not get much media attention like feminism).
This is an actual, blunt, brutal, honest, and fantastic episode of this podcast series. I would like to ask Mr. Lahiri to have more episodes with her because she needs to be vocal and reach out to as many people as possible. The nation needs to know the story of the other side as well. Indrajit, the name of the film is "Jayeshbhai Jordaar" @08:57 and not Joardar. Though a Hindi movie the name is very Gujarati. Its common practise amongst Gujaratis to address males with a bhai suffix with their name and females with a ben suffix with their name. Its our equivalent of Dada / Didi. And Jordaar is what we loosely say "fatafati". Jayeshbhai Jordaar loosely translated into Bangla will be Jayeshda Fatafati
