Wow, this video really opened my eyes! 😲 It’s wild to see all the factors that contribute to why America can feel so... bonkers sometimes. There’s so much complexity behind it! As an outsider, I’m always intrigued by how different cultures function, and this gave me a lot to think about. What do you all think-do you agree with the points made in the video, or do you see America differently? Well, the USA was founded & subsequently grew out of tough, strong-willed, independent immigrants from nearly every region on earth, most all of whom believed, & still believe, in the right to think & act as individuals; while also uniting together for common cause. Yes, our individuality & free thinking sometimes seem extreme, & differing opinions are often polarizing. Still, this has happened in America several times in its history, & our nation always "weathers the storm", emerging even stronger. Thanks for your reaction.
Lawrence has a great channel and is pretty spot on with his assessments I've been enjoying yours as well the last few months , I kinda laugh when the rest of the world thinks we're bonkers sometimes because our country is made up of people from every country 😂 so we all must be nuts !!!
I think it's interesting to ponder the differences and similarities between Americans and our Aussie cousins, considering we are from the same original stock and ended up in lands far away from the motherland. I have always thought that Americans and Aussies are very similar. What do you think?
Yeah, we're a little bonkers. All the best people are lol. We just do what we want to do, in our pursuit of happiness that's guaranteed as a God given right in our constitution. It is what it is lol. We're not perfect but we're always improving. We've come a long way in a short time.
Laurence is fair. He will point out our faults as well as our accomplishments. It seems no matter what non Americans hear there is just a bias to hold on to the negatives that they want to believe. You heard what he said but you called it an “interesting take”. Which to me sounds like you don’t agree with Laurence’s take fully. It’s okay we are all entitled to our opinions. But,It’s just so interesting that people want to hold on to their biases about America.
Sure, there are a number of things that set America apart, cultural differences, whatever and if you want to find one thing to focus upon you can take your Iphone almost anywhere and find a number of people who after some prodding will feed you the answers you're looking for and you can make an outrageous video about it, but no matter what take you're looking for it's almost guaranteed that three times the number of people you talked to will have a different take. It's the outrageous takes which make America seem bonkers and everything else is boring, so why share it with the world? That's the problem with reality, you can make it seem like it's any way you want it to be.
Lyle, are you really an actor pretending to be in Australia? 😂🤣😂 Aside from all of the political and a few other differences, when it boils down to it, we do tend to support each other in times of need, tragedy, or just everyday life.
Where I am in North Carolina nothing extreme really happens. Our town population about 14k. We might have some rain and wind from Hurricanes once a year if that. We live in a small town and its really a boring place that's a nice place to live. The US is a gigantic place and many foreigners dont realize we are like a nation of countries. A lot of people believe the US is all like LA, NY, Nola, Houston, Miami or the backwoods. For example we drive 4 hours to the coast to vacation from where I am. We have to drive the about the same distance to our mountains. We are a 1 Walmart town, 😂. This is not unusual, most of the towns around us are the same. It's a 30 minute drive to reach a town of about 300k. A lot of the US is not extreme.🎉😊
@@barbarakangas3255 I agree with you. Laurence even said most of us just get on with everyday life. Many of us choose to just live our lives and then there are others that have feelings about everything they’re afraid, scared and angry. They yell and want everyone else to know about it. And they’re on a constant rollercoaster of emotions over every new thing they hear. And many things that go on that seem bonkers are not under our control. The wild fires, snow storms, hurricanes and tornadoes.
Yeah, that guy is gone. Hopefully, they are helping him with his dementia. We got a new guy now! And yeah, he's shaking things up, but we need it. Just do like i do, sit back and watch. You'll live. I've lived through several different presidents now, and in many ways, my life was the best from 2016 til the stupid riots broke out in 2020. Wonder why?

Actually, Laurence is an American now. He was naturalized as a citizen not too long ago.
No, he is both.
He’s not an American! Just because you take a test does NOT make u an American..get real

Hi! Diana Ankudinova! Many new from her! 🎉❤ check!

Laurence has been an American for two years now. He has dual citizenship now.
Yes.
We don't have Salt Water Crocodiles yet. We do have Nile Crocs in Florida and Jaguars back in Arizona!
Nice comments about your American friends.
Good one! ( opinion from an American)😊
Interesting. We got 6” of snow on the beaches of South Carolina. Morning temps were hovering around 16° F. A very, very strange winter!

Laurence is married to an American and as Arlene said, now a citizen himself.
FYI, as a point of reference -40 F & -40 C are the SAME temperature.

Correction, Lawrence IS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN now. He went through the naturalization process a number of years ago (depending on date of this video).
My like button not working, but thumbs up

America is back. Get with us or get out of the way ;-)
To many Scottish immigrants mixed with Irish immigrants oh man
LOL, very good Lyle
I've been worried sick since the 2016 Election& the fear& despair only grows more everyday!! Its all too much
I think Laurence's candidate lost the election. He is a bit upset but can't risk losing half his audience.
Interesting.
I'm an American and I don't think I'm bonkers. 😂
I'm American to and yes we are 😂😂😂

Have you heard the guy who was elected as president? Bonkers as hell, elected by a bunch of bonkers people.
