This mini episode seems to be the aftermath of one of the flashbacks in the webcomic. According to that, stairs were involved with how Mordecai hurt his arm (roller skates were not) and Viktor did not lose his eye in the war. They have changed up a few things in the adaptation process though. There's a webcomic full story of Lackadaisy and then there are self contained strips which sometimes elaborate on the lore and other times break canon for a joke. The official dubs are self-contained strips.
I don’t think so cause the fight where mordecai gets shot in the shoulder took place before atlas even met mitzi, there’s a part later in the flashback where they meet at the marigold, and mordecai doesn’t have a cast or anything :/ It could be a reference to it though (the comic strips are lackadaisy power-keg to Bygones)

i always interpreted the ticking to be a signal of mordecais focus when hes "hunting" at least in the pilot, hes blocking out all of the ambient sound but the meditative like rythem of his watch, thats why in the pilot he eard the cocking of freckles gun despite freckle being so far away and it pulled him out of the ticking.

Not sure if you've seen it, but there's also two other Lackadaisy shorts - Stratagem (Viktor & Mordecai duo) and Breakthrough (with tiny Rocky and Freckles -and all-suffering Nina- ). Also the official comic dubs can be found in the playlists on their RUclips channel - they're great!

It was amazing to see Viktor smile softly and joke with a kid, but I see how it can feel bittersweet. I did see the other two shorts. I gotta say, Rocky's a menace! How did he and Freckle survive to adulthood? You're the first to recognize D-Grey Man! Respect to you!
@@Dare_to_Nerdaccording to the wiki Ivy is the only person that can sorta boss Viktor around without him getting upset and he always wanted to protect her from this life he has scared of plenty of her boyfriends in the past according to the wiki. And they have sorta a father daughter dynamic despite not being related
For those interested, Viktor lost his eye in a worker's strike shortly before meeting Atlas. I believe Atlas helped him avoid jail from the incident and hired him after.
And also, since The Webcomic came WAY before the pilot, for me it's quite acurate to read after seen the pilot, so the caracters backstories, the time line and stuff are better understandable.

25 cents in the 1920 is equal to asking 4 bucks in this day and age. seriously look up prices in 1920's! a dozen eggs cost 47 cents ($7.09 today), one pound of round steak cost 40 cents ($6.04 today), and three pounds of macaroni cost 25 cents ($3.77 today). 25 cents can get you a lot of things

Actually there is. Sometimes I make a comment while the video is playing, but don't like my audio and the videos audio playing at the same time. The lackadaysi web comics irs the best information graber that we can get for this universe, i already read the full Webcomic, its amazing.
