This NEVER gets old ........
That is until he goes 5.487@ 265.36 MPH.
That just sounds and feels right.
In the near future, we're gonna see 4.93 @ 291 mph. You're looking at the man who's gonna do it.
The Sound... That Crisp Sound... The Breath Taking Acceleration and Speed... The Reward and Victory! Well Done 💥💥🇺🇸💥💥
👍
" Years ago, Elmer Trett instilled on me the confidence to do it ". What a great line from the man at the cutting edge of this sport today. Congrats once again, and keep on doin it !!!
now thats ''dialed in'' MUCH RESPECT
Unless you are standing at the track.
It,s hard to feel the emotion of a Long earned win.
It was sort of funny watching this crazy old man jumping around and screaming.
Back in the pit area a more calm way of talking now.
Like Steve McBride said, some people go fishing, hunting, amusement park.
We go to work on Motorcycles.
You have to Love what you do.
It gives you a reason to be alive.
Thanks for posting the video.
Really enjoyed.
Truly amazing bike and 1/4 mile run - flawless. That thing ran in a dead straight line from start to finish.
We have ALWAYS seen them pour in the power. THIS run, the difference was in Larry's handling. Wow.
I've watched this 10 times already, just unbelievable, that's gonna be hard to beat. 👍 "OLD GUYS RULE" 👍
Way back in the day when me and all my boys still ran wheelie bar bikes, all the big name guys were kinda stand off ish. Larry ALWAYS! came up and bullshitted with us. He didn't give a damn that we ran 9.20's.... this team will always have my vote!
Watching from London, UK.. finally I found a decent racing channel.
Been watching you guys for decades! It never gets old, even if WE are! Wow. Great work gentlemen!
I love that final visor flip-down. That's when you know the show is on. Legendary Stuff....
These old timers are going to take that level of pride with them.
Who the hell are you calling old?!?!?
Wheeeew. His reaction on the throttle ,the bikes reaction to the throttle and the track came together in harmony. Wow this does not get old 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
That just blows my mind,. Congratulations to all of you. Trett would be well pleased with what all of you have accomplished with so much dedication.
The passion in that mans voice is just inspiring. What a family! Congrats!
Is there any mic that can take top fuel abuse? Just no way to communicate that sound other than being live. The cave-man moment at 3:30 is epic, the walk toward the tree, and standing up there, moments like these always put a smile on my face when people accomplish things that put them in that state, YEAH! Excellent video, cool to be so close at the launch.
Absolute page in history, and you got it on video Jack great job to you and great job to the Mcbrides , they'll get to the 5.40s 2020 and we will get to see it before larry and steve retires
Congratulations Larry!!
Bike was hooked up!!
Radical pass!!
So cool... the whole team, congratulations. I truly hope to accomplish somthing in my life that makes me feel like what you could see in Mr. McBrides eyes... He didnt have to say a word. Still, great footage and interview Jack
Rockets don't launch that hard. Congrats.
Fastest man on two wheels. Men like this are few and far between. These are the guys that dedicate their entire lives to the sport they love, acknowledge those who have made this possible, and will be the ones history remembers as those who raised this sport to a new level of performance.
Spiders CAN fly!
How I would’ve loved to see this in person. The McBride brothers and others sit a standard that will be hard to beat. I can’t imagine the the sensation of going a 0-264 mph in 5.5 seconds on a T/F bike. The skill and knowledge required deserves respect and admiration from all of us.
Rockets launch a lot harder. He is not the fastest or quickest man on two wheels, Eric Teboul is at 4.97sec 291 mph on his Rocket bike. They launch a lot harder. See Sammy Miller in Vanishing point rocket car 3.58 seconds 386mph in 1984/5.
I remember when this was difficult, for Top fuel dragster and funny car. Mad Props to this crew
That is just incredible! I can't get enough of it. When you all gonna come up to Epping N.H. and show your stuff? If you guys ever do, I want to be there! I can't even fathom what it would be like to see this in real time, live! CONGRATULATIONS on all your dedication and hard work, I can't imagine what you all have been through to accomplish this. Simply AMAZING! CHEERS!
Congratulations Larry & Steve!!! Way to send it! ! !
Congrats Steve,Larry,and crew well done
Super super super impressive 👍👍👍
This never gets old. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
A brilliant pair of brothers that dedicate themselves to the fastest sport on earth..well done and keep safe guys
Went 268 today ! 270 is within reach he would have done it had the bike not gone a bit squirley in the middle ! Looked like it hit hard when it went into high gear
I think he traveled forward in time, came back and we were all 5.5 years older
This dude ain’t playing holy hell
Best video yet
Wow what a run!!!
Great group of people. I met them in Indianapolis several times and The Spider-Man was cool and down to earth.
Thanks for watching. What do you ride?
@@cycledrag I took a break from riding had a bad crash a few years back not afraid to ride just had to get my health back in order.
You can tell by the reactions of all there that they just watxhed history being made. It meant a lot to all there, that is on show by the celebrations by others.
all I can say is wow super tuned on the money man that thing sounds good 👍
Congratulations
man you have that bike dialed in to the t larry elmer would be or is smileing lookin down at you that thing lit the candles instantly ! no hesitation at all that was beautiful run!
Crazy times for the fastest category in motorcycle drag racing. A huge congratulations to Steve! But what im truly impressed is with the Pro Streets, churning out a best of 6.38. Its still far off top fuel in terms of drag racinh but in reality its just .8 seconds behind, on totally legal street tires and no damn wheelie bar. Crazy when you put things in this perspective.
The times just keep dropping.
It,s amazing to watch.
Pushing the Limits has always been a need.
@@weldmachine Same old bikes, different tech inside. Crazy what old busas and old gixxers can do and are capable of doin in the future. Lets just hope Suzuki or other manufacturers come out with a very good drag-base model soon. Its always the 05 - 06 gixxer and busas, besides the odd fireblade.
This is a literal rocket with 2 wheels.
Damn that's quick....
Will Larry be racing long enough to get into the 4's?
Where/how to get one of those ultra cool always-in-fashion shirts?
Awesome 🤘
The life of a drag racer
That thare folks that's how it's done. Right. Perfect run.
That bike was movvvvveeeing
That was a killer run WOW
Spiderman wishes he had a Larry McBride suit
I love watching him at night under fire then bob motz and fireworks prolly the best experience in person hands down
That was fast
Legend still the legend
The time and speed seem impossible -
but there it is.
That's just insane.
NICE!!
What is Larry adjusting as he approaches the line ?
That's the question of the day.
I was thinking the same thing. Good question for sure.
Fuel.timing
@@carlmorgan1227 , thank you Carl. I saw your reply at 3:30 am this morning while working on my bike, figured I'd thank you when I got up .....going right back there now.
THATS NOT A BIKE, THATS A MISSILE
Portland, Oregon. Can you imagine going that fast on 2 wheels in the 1/4 mile.
What are these? Engines with 1 1/2 tires attached to them?
Truely amazing!
best parts mean nothing if u can't tune hats off to the Spiderman crew
What engine is that, more details desired
I say having only motorcycle life is the life too have!
Larry has titanium parts. To straddle that fire breather.
Crazy 😧
Love it @5.50

You have to get to 3 before you get to 4
You have to have a set to lay over that much hp.

you can hear he does the burnout on a rev limiter - clever!
And the stands are empty, incredible
Please Answer . What engine used
Puma I believe, but don't hold me to that.
www.larrymcbride.com/bikespecs.htm
@Alan Godden , after the 1992 Gainesville disaster Larry came to Atlanta with some guys that had a V8 Suzuki based on the 1150 motor. They had some bugs and I never saw it again.
@Alan Godden Custom crankshaft and 2 1150 cases welded together in a V. It wasn't run straight up if memory serves, I have to ask a friend if he has pictures of it. I took pictures before I began racing bikes, then I began racing and didn't.
Puma bottom end with Kawasaki Z heads. 4 cylinder engine.
Batshit crazy but so much respect for that
A repost from McBride from weeks ago I almost thought he broke another record ... Come on cycle drag ...
Garrett McGovern this version is different. It’s nothing but natural sound
Garrett McGovern some folks have been asking to hear nothing but the bike
how's mr simon
Disappeared like an arrow!!!!!!!!!
You need a sharp intake of ice molecules by adding teeth of spraying gentley
Nice....but it’s not the “Acheson, Topeka, and Santa Fe”
