A friend of mine is an employee at evolution, and he told me the way this works is that the red balls has a metal-center enough to react to the electro-magnet at the bottom-center of the glass house.

i doubt this... since evolution is a legalized company, and they show historical DAta of al runs they do on they games, they would have to fake statistics if they are using magnetcis the mathemathics would not add up in the end.
