For what it's worth, I once had a similar hand at Mohegan Sun Connecticut. I got dealt 44, folded pre-flop, and wouldn't you know it, the other two 4s come up on the flop. I was kicking myself the rest of the session.

Hey Ethan, do you think you, personally, could build a significant bankroll through a challenge, but without playing in the live streams? I love a good poker bankroll challenge series, but always feel like the main streams are so soft they’re not realistic compared to average games. Maybe a 10,000 to 100,000 challenge?

Nice win! Just wanted to ask why you bet so big on the river when you have the nuts or close to? I feel like you’ve done this hundreds of times and potentially miss out on $. If you bet smaller A LOT of the time the will call. Reel them in.

She seems to have about 11k left, which you cover, yet on the top down shot after the dealer pushes you the pot she seems to have all her chips still, and the pot pushed to you seems really... small? I'm a little confused. Did she pay you with money from behind her?

At 11:20 you say it’s the nuts and functionally it is but 8 7 of diamonds is actually the nuts for the straight flush

don't mean to be that guy but in the hand where you got a flush against skull mike, you didn't have the nuts. 7-8 of diamonds was the nuts for the straight flush. You had the second nuts

Don’t feel bad about folding the tens, it could have whiffed with Rhonda hitting her king, then you would’ve had trouble. Just dust yourself off and get the next round. So you netted after repaying everything about 5 grand?
Other way around, the people with 24% stake got around 5+K, he got around 16K.
@@EfficientRVer Yeah, but dealing with the paperwork for the IRS really makes it important to know how much your backers will get paid (and thus how much they, not you, should be liable for). But Rampage is a good guy, so it was just figuring the numbers.

So the hand when Marino had the ace of spades and rampage had the queen of spades is kind of suspicious for the game. Definitely soft playing each other.
It's fine. When I playing with one of my friends in the casino we play it light against each other. Mariano and Ethan are friends from at least 2 years.

@@elleonverduzco7653 Soft play against a friend is never OK. But I don't think it was that. They are both strong, tricky players who have a history of not being afraid to take each other to value town or to bluff each other bigtime. There were simply easier ways to make money at that table than going wild against each other with single-card flushes on a paired board. Just because they're friends, doesn't mean that they lose the right to decide who they want to play big pots against. They each likely played it the same as they would have against Polk or Negreanu, and differently from how they would have played it against a fish.
Mariano bet the river to induce a raise. It worked. But on a paired board, there is no way to bet and 3-bet that river without getting his ass handed to him if Rampage had a boat. His snap call is way better than a 3-bet, especially knowing that Rampage might 4-bet shove even a bluff, and then there'd truly be no way to call.
