IDK why I'm nerding here, but there's study of ink, labels, types of printings, printing mediums, printing materials and laws-regulations involved in it. This is what we were taught in one of our subjects for Polymer engineering. I am sure there's hell lot more covered in the curriculum for printing engineering.
eh, printing is not just paper printing. I am sure they have comprehensive syllabus on various printing technologies, old and new ones i. e. inkjet, daisy, laser print etc. 3D printing would also involve some material science i. e. what materials are best suited for what kind of job. We just had one topic on printing in our csc graphics semester
You need printing engineer in all kinds of printing industry, Right from News papers, Magazines, Textiles, Fashion, Advertising, Commercial art, Industrial art, tiles and ceramic, bathroom tiles, flooring, etc. Composition of ink, kinds of inks, kinds of ink base, kinds of printing techniques, even 3D printing. Everything around you is printed , from curtains, bed sheets, shirts, skirts, dress, jackets, jewelry, cups, plates, shoes, etc. Pretty sure everything he said was made up for laughs. Except the end where it seems he went back to school as a famous former student.
There are prestigious colleges in India for hospitality like IHM and IIHM. Maybe this is why hospitality in Indian star-rated hotels is way better than anywhere in the world. Fun Fact: Pankaj Thripati is a IHM graduate. He later joined a drama school. Sanjeev Kapoor and Ranveer Brar are from IHM too.
Fun fact- he is pro in setting obs and all the stuffs and canvas while streaming and he even has a live stream recorded where he taught it to other streamers
Hospitality is a major degree course!! And it does, in fact, provide opportunities for very high paying jobs! Hospitality sector includes - Airline staffs and crew field jobs, management & creative field jobs in national/international leading hotel chains and other highly customer oriented industries. Jaby!! You gotta upgrade your knowledge :D
Hospitality degree is actually very valid in India. MANY students do it. And ig this is why Indian hospitality is known to be very good worldwide. And that degree involves many subjects in it, including cooking. Many big chefs in 5 star hotels and resorts have hotel management degree.
Someone needs to design and manufacture those printers and papers and techniques to print on various scales from a household printer to industrial printers to print magzines, books, newspaper etc. Once that is done and you have a printer you can do ctrl+p. FYI i am a Software Engineer but i got to defend my fellow engineers, it is comedy jaby, also in India you can do any engineering to eventually write software, which actually has the jobs.
According to me Printing Engineering should be about how any thing is printed from Machine Level Code to final print out. And how is 2D or 3D printing is done. How the nozzle is spraying the colors and maintaining Color Ratio to make a particular color. And what is the future of 3D printing including metal and other substances. 🤔
Bro first of all the things is printing engineering has the lowest merit required to get admission. Not even half seats are filled and also most of students takes because their ranks are low maybe 2-3 students who may have interest. And then making labs and all in college also they need team of 15-20 faculty and all. It's just an loss for college.

Well Hospitality Management is a pretty serious job as I myself have done that and it's been 2 years I am working I must say say the salary is pretty decent and in the upcoming years it will be huge
9:00 no Stepth that's not the case with Printing Engineering. Samay is just a bad engineer. Getting a print from your home printer and getting a commercially viable, profit making, industry standard, with tons of different papers, with accurate cutting, binding, lamination using a 600k$ 7-10 meter long printing machine is way too different tasks. Samay is just making fun of the engineering stream.
Actually hospitality management students are one of the highest earners in India (Get opportunities to go abroad or on ship easily) there's a reason why Goa is topping by far in GDP per capita
Print engineering is about advanced technologies and machines built for printing. Lasers, Ink, Toner, material science, organic ink manufacturing, power reduction, etc...
I think when they say Print Engineering, they're actually talking about how to "make" printers and printer ink and not just "use" printers. Basically they'd be the engineers designing the next HP or Epson printer and so on. He is just making it sound trivial.
My friend is also studying hospitality in college, trying to become a chef in a 5 star hotel. He claims he's gonna earn a lot, but we're holding it to him
Jaby, teachers / professors worldwide aren’t paid well at all. I come from a family of teachers and some work in India, HK, UAE, USA, etc and their stories are same. Fun fact: even they need to stay updated with the new curriculum. Sadly there’s lot bureaucracy / politics involved in education field too hence the updates aren’t that frequent. Secondly, no one really cares especially with public schools where the funding is predominantly from the government or charities.
Guys don't take jokes so seriously. I watched a whole documentary about printmaking, it's an art and a science. There are so many materials and technology used over the years, and many of the graphic design styles from different decades, sometimes are highly influenced by the printing technology available at the time. Sometimes some of those aesthetics become trend and a defining visual language, that translates to other mediums as well, such as film, fashion and what not. I never knew that Printing Engineering is a thing until I watched this video. But, I am not surprised at all.
perhaps it teaches u how printers work , how to repair, and ofcourse that 3d printing stuff, we dont have a clue how a printer works other than what we google, the print engineer probably does in detail.
printing engineers work with manufacturing installation and repair of industrial level printing equipment. one of my brothers in law ha sstudied this from jadavpur uni via his AIEEE rank and 10 years or so later he is doing very well for himself.
print engineering isn’t just printing on paper😂. there’s different machinery involved for large scale printing, 3d printing, printing parts of machines, etc
He ia just joking, Printing engineering is about creating system or machine technology how printing works like laser and motor how pixel works and paper is printed with ink how ink print o page line by line, etc. You got the point 🤔

It's for press and newspapers .. on large scale
