Actually it's ska punk which is definitely more musical & complex than the generic 3 power chord song structure. There are a lot of reggae & country music influences in that performance, still. And he's not really wasting his talent if he pursues the music he personally likes to play. He didn't lose his value as a gifted multi instrumentalist for me. I personally dislike the punk vocals & the lyrics myself. But in the end it's about the artist expressing himself & not the artist trying to please all his fans. To me, this fellow octopus sy was 1 of my inspirations to become a multi instrumentalist myself. Bless you
