This lively hidden gem of an ecosystem is located in Ajman and is made up of a tidal creek and mangrove forest that is rich in birdlife. The Al Zorah Nature Reserve’s beautiful waters make it an ideal spot for environmentally-friendly water sports such as windsurfing and kayaking, whilst less adventurous visitors may observe the wild over breakfast and coffee from the comfort of the café.
Another Ramsar Convention Wetland of International Importance, the reserve hosts nearly 60 species of birds including the Greater Flamingo and a number of egrets and herons. The mangroves here are of the species Avicennia marina, commonly known as the Grey Mangrove due to their colour, which is a product of their salt water habitat (learn more about the Grey Mangrove on the Knowledge Hub).
Opening hours: Daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Boat ride:
Saturday to Thursday : 6:00 AM to 10:00PM
Friday : 5.00 PM to 10:00 PM
Boat Ride Ticket Rate: 05 AED Per person. (or) 50 AED for 10 Persons if its Group.
Note: Group Ticket will not be available in Crowded days.
