This might be one of my fav reactions ever!
I was blown away by this song and the number of chills I got from this song was too many to count. Thank you to Mixxtopia - Kyujin so so much for recommending this song to me. I'm so excited to look more into this group!

Just a few things that will make this a lot more impactful... Taka's voice is amazing. He was actually sick during this show. So that's testament to how good he is and how much he loves his fans
Second and most important, once you know the backstory of the song, it touches a lot deeper. The reason why the crowd is into it and sings along, is that this song was written for the Japanese 18 Fes. They gathered 1000 eighteen year olds to sing those parts. It was written for a young generation to give hope and to tell them to not give up. It was a turning point at that time where they changed the legal age to vote to 18, but the older generation wasn't for it. If you watch the 18 Fes version, you will see the emotion of them. Even as an older person, this song really resonates with me.

Great reaction! I had the same reaction the first time i heard a song from them, which was actually this one. Was my favourite band right from this moment.
Some recommondations:
-Good Goobye (a sad ballad to cry even more, the singer Taka wrote this song for a close friend that died)
-Take what you want, Ambitions Dome Tour 2018 (another great and emotional song from them)
-Stuck in the middle, 35xxxv Japan Tour (my favourite rock and hype song from them)

I cried my eyes out like a baby the first time I saw 'We Are' and 'Take what you want' and I still do whenever I watch the live performances. The emotion and passion just crushes your heart! And thats why they are so so special, they can make you feel something really deep down. I hope you enjoy your journey of discovering their magic :D Get tissues tho!

I love your reaction! Make sure you see them live someday in the future! This one specific tour was still my top favorite one that I've experienced myself, the crowd were very very devoted themselves into the show, the setlist was AMAZINGLY GOOD. You can consider buying the official Blue-Ray/DVD of this tour and enjoy the entire concert with 22 songs!

Great reaction, agreed Taka (lead singer) is crazy talented. Take What You Want live is also a really great and emotional showing song. Its surprising they're not as famous around the world as they are in Japan, they've been around for over 17 years and been pure talent since day one.

The first time I heard (and cried in) this song is in the 18 Fes version (ruclips.net/video/yB6O4kQwnWk/видео.html&ab_channel=NHK), where they invited 1000 18yr olds to sing with them. The 18 Fes and this Japan Dome versions give me the feeling of church gospel; or that feeling of community, hope, living a meaningful life, and blessed talent altogether.

Japan has so many fantastic artists. Another popular group from japan you could check out is Babymetal. They are two women managed by the same agency as One OK Rock and established their own subgenre of metal called Kawaii Metal by mixing Metal with JPop and various other musical influences and make the music very digestible even for people not liking metal music that much. They excel live because of their fantastic musicians and their singer being one of the best of her generation. A typical song recommendation would be "Road of Resistance live" which shows how great their live performances are. And while it wouldn't be a typical introduction i can also recommend "Babymetal - Monochrome Piano ver.". It's a ballad accompanied only by a piano and strings and totally focuses on the singers ability - which are beyond fantastic. The song itself is from their newest album released only some days ago.

This is one of my favs. Another one that really hits is Take What You Want. If you check it out, just remember to be patient with it... wait it out, it's worth it.

One OK Rock is possibly the best rock band we have today, Japanese or not. This took me back to the 70s and 80s so much. We used to have many bands like this here in the States. They are all grandpas now. Now, all we have are the typical pop crap and boybands that can't write or sing for sh1t. What the hell happened??

The name One OK Rock comes from the time at which they used to meet up to practice "One O'Clock" add a bit of a japanese accent and you have something that sounds very similar to "One Ock Rock" or One OK Rock so it's a bit of a wordplay. So in Japanese the name is usually pronounced this way, but in the English speaking world it's pretty normal to say "One Okay Rock" and I don't think anyone really cares or would hold it against you.
