  • In Ask A Paradox #1 part 2, Kevin Paradox talks a little his history and how it all started. And also answers to the question How to become better?
I know this is a long video, but i think this is nice for those who are actually curious about this. Thank you VERY much for those who have actually been supporting me since Wonderland. It has been an amazing journey guys, and I still got so much to do.

Its funny how I used to watch these wonderful dancers and used to think that they had gotten that good over night, that they just started right away in that very high level.
I used to think like that, but then I got to know their stories and I saw that, even that they had talent* from the beggining, they actually went thru a jorney of WORK, a "process/progress" over the years; They did not really care about being the best off all dancers, they were just dancing and dancing and doing their thing, doing what they loved and working on improving themselves.
So, as they went thru that path, they gathered a whole lot of tools, knowlegde and experience, and that all togheter BUILT the BEASTS that they are today.
So, I understood that it really is a matter of love for dance combined with workin, learning more, enjoying the journey and not willing to be the best in relation to others but being the best in relation to yourself.
+Kevin Paradox thanks for one more great lesson. Waiting for the next video. :))

Thank you Kevin. It's great that you are open about your insecurities and 'failures'. It really helps and inspires people to persevere, because they only see dancers in their battles, but never know how hard dancers have to work to get there. It's crazy to learn that people laughed at you, but it happens, and I'm glad you got the last laugh.

You definitely show your spirit and soul through your words, dance and teachings, and damn! What a beautiful soul you have! Thank you for sharing your story, answering these great questions that one normally never hears out loud besides in one's own head, and thank you for the inspiration! Much love!

Kevin, you are one of my biggest inspirations. Not only in dance but in life too. I knew you were a humble guy but i never thought you had these insecurities with yourself. I have seen you the first time on YAK-Films when you did the Go-Go Gadget video and i was like who is this guy, he's dope. Since then you've been on my radar and i watched at least 90% of your videos on RUclips, including battles.
Even though i am a dancer myself for like 6 years, the video at 08:04 heavily influenced my dancing. So thanks a lot for that. Just wanted to tell you this and keep it up brother, stay positive and i'm looking forward to see more of you.

    Dear Kevin,
i took your classes this year in the beatcamp in croatia, these were my first classes from you. i really was thrilled by your knowledge and your patience you have while teaching and giving something to the students. now i am watching your ask-videos and i want to thank you. it is like everything you say make so much sense and i can recognize i share/agree with a lot of thoughts with you. also a lot of your advices helps me in my perspective and mindset and i am thankful for that.
you really should write a book, this would help a lot of dancers positively.

Thank you so much for this! :D I have been learning popping for six months now and although I know deep down I just have to enjoy the journey, I do tend to look up to others and set a goal of where I want to be as soon as possible.. It may partially be because I wanted this for almost 10 years, but were to scared to even get started, which means I want to accomplish and make up for the years I have lost while being scared. But I have a better understanding now of what I am doing. Thank you for the wake up call and your honest advice!

Thank you, Kevin, for being such an inspiration! Both your videos and your exquisite philosophical way of thinking have helped me achieve progress in both dancing and life! Your way of thinking has not only influenced my dancing, but my lifestyle and my actual thinking as well and I dare to say that they have made me a better person!
I honestly hope that you start getting more and more support because you are truly an amazing dancer and a person because I am sure that every dancer can better themselves from your videos! (I don't know you in person, though I hope that I will meet you some day, but I can easily tell from your videos what a humble yet great man you are)!

Darn it youtube why am I finding your videos now? I went through the worst anxiety about dance 2 years ago and I just had an endless cycle of self hate which bled into everything I did.
I have a background in modern dance and performed multiple times on stage, and then moved to Japan and started learning locking and when I had a performance at a big stage in Hiroshima I was so scared I just froze and didn't dance and ruined the choreography for everyone else. Still ashamed about it, but I realize it was unfair because 1. foreign country 2. I had only been dancing locking for 1 year. It was too hard from the beginning and I was too hard on myself.
But I love dance and want to be a great dancer so it was really hard for me that I failed so hard.
So your stories are really touching.
I know this video is 5 years old, but I really appreciate the words in this video.

Everything is so true,,like Im still at the beginning but I can tell that i do the same things like you have done ! For example recording etc.In not even 2 years when i started dancing I become literally a Monster because of You and I developed my style in 10 mins of watching the first part of the q&a! You are the biggest influence in my dance and you are the reason why Im still dancing..-

wow, literally share the same exact background I love science, philosophy, my Dad as well plays the guitar, and my mom.. well she doesn't sing but her musicality and music sense is ridiculous. no wonder why I always loved to dance as well... just sadly I didn't really appreciate this talent and didn't persue it until 2011... which makes me feel like I'll never get good in time to be able to battle the greats in their prime (i.e you, les twins, Tight eyez, etc...) but these videos help me push harder to finally get my name out their to the world and finally get respected as a dancer, and an artist.
Thank you Kevin for the wisdom.

Amazing, thank you so much for your insight. Since I started watching, I've really started pushing myself and this series has really added to my inspirations. Knowing that you read "Bruce Lee: Jeet Kune Do", i'd like to recommend his book "The Art Of Expressing The Human Body", if you haven't read it already I think you'll really enjoy it. 😊
