Great information Andrew. With the new OpenTX radios, it's now possible to put these stick commands on a switch, using the "Special Functions" utility to (momentarily) override the channels.

In the Receiver menu in iNav, I change the RC Expo and Manual RC Expo to .30. Then use the transmitter to change expo settings. Much easier in the field. Also in Nav plane setup I change rates to 100. Again use transmitter to change rates in the field. I use iNav with F4 v2 fc on all my gliders and wings. All the best...

Hi Andrew! Thanks for this video! Any suggestions to why I can't enable stick commands? I'm running latest INAV version, Arm on one switch. Sticks calibrated (1000, 1500 and 2000). Thr. a bit larger range as in your video. FC is Mateksys F772-se, Latest OpenTx on Horus X10 with TBS crossfire (also latest FW). Telemetry enabled. I have read the INAV Wiki, but found no clue.
Any suggestions to what might be the problem will be much apprechiated.
It would be very handy to be able to calibrate the compass using stick commands, leaving the computer and USB cabling behind. And getting access to the other stick commands as well would be nice.
    Cheers, Torgeir!

Rudder input? No kill switch? Watch your Horus channels display to make sure the outputs are correct to call up stick commands

@@AndrewNewton Thank you for yor reply. No kill-switch, just Arm/Disarm. Ch1-ch4 all moove nicely in the INAV radio window. All calibrated between 1000 - 2000. Only Thr. 998 - 2003. I also experience that the RunCam OSD stick command window is also not available. I have VTX comtroll on UART6, which let me control VTX settings via LUA script. RunCam on Ch4 and all set to correct settings in INAV (for the respective UART settings). I'm not sure if the problem has anything to do with the TBS Crossfire.
If you should thinng of anything else, I'm listening :)
Beyon that - your RC channel on youtube is much apprechiated.
Stay clear from Corona viruses, and fly safe :)
      Best regards, Torgeir

@@AndrewNewton My fault! I had combined arm and thr. kill switch on the same switch. In addition to one separate thr. lock.
So now I get the basic INAV OSD (e.g. for adjusting VTX and more), but I'm not able to access the INAV stick commands for e.g. calibrating the magnetometer. Might be prohibited by the fact that I have configured arm/disarm on a switch. Is your understanding as well that utilizing arming/disarming on a dedicated switch prohibits the INAV stick commands for calibrating compass? Any thoughts?
      Cheers! Torgeir

Awesome video mate! I can enter and control the OSD menu with no dramas but is there a way to do this without moving the flight controls? As i enter the menu my rudder is obviously going full left as i enter the menu. The servos dont always appreciate this so i was wondering if theres another way to disarm control surfaces upon entering OSD menu. Thanks!

Hello Andrew I doing some ground test for the manual mode in order to configure all the servos.
If I start moving around the stick the servos suddenly stop in that movement and I could not get back in manual mode.
Then I reboot and I got my manual mode back.
The plane is not armed because I m in my house with no Sats.
Do you think this happened because I got in the osd menu?

This is my first flying wing build and having trouble getting any help but my setup is f405 wing,r xsr recevier, radiomaster tx 16s and inav 2.5. I flashed my board with inav 2.5 and flashed r xsr with latest firmware.i wired r xsr according to matek 5v,ground green wire sbs and yellow t2, it binds quickly when power up with usb with green and blue light. Ive done calabrations, set serial rx in uart2,and enabled sbus. Problem is no stick inputs in recevier port in inav, radio shows stick inputs on monitor in inputs, mixer and outputs.Im lost at this point I reflashed inav, checked wiring have tryed to get advise last 3 days on youtube but i guess they cant or wont help no response. I do notice on inav main page it show configurator 2.5 and under that says 2.4. Is this normal? What else can i try? Thanks

    • @AndrewNewton
      @AndrewNewton  3 года назад

Make sure you are not mixing up SBUS and S-Port on the receiver. Try just connecting SBUS first. Make sure the receiver has ACCST firmware that is the same as the protocol you chose on the TX16s and is successfully bound. There are 2 version of ACCST. If the Rx is on ACCESS then it wont work. @@AndrewNewton Thanks for reply and advice, binding must be fine radiomaster shows r xsr in telemetery menu and showing 5 bar signal on main screen, according to diagram green wire on r xsr is sbus out which connects to sbs on f405 ive unpluged yellow wire. Only thing in radio output menu when moving sticks only input is arrows moveing left or right no value in percentage. Is this normal? Thanks for info.

@@AndrewNewton do you mean send picture of radio stick inputs or r xsr wiring not sure but will try and send some pitchers, I might not explained very well, on radiomaster i go to modell then to inputs, mixer and outputs. While moving sticks it shows stick inputs in input tab and mixer tab the sliders move with sticks showing percentage of movement when output selected while moving sticks arrows move right or left no sliders showing percentage of stick movement. I hope this makes sense because i do need help to get this fixed. I have studyed inav wiki for last 2 months but cant find solution there, please advise on next step. Thanks
