Look at California heat wave and they had to ask people to not plug in their vehicles during prime time. I do think great that the buses and city vehicles electric. Not all people live in pedestrian friendly cities. Nice for Oslo. Hoping there are scientist out there working on and even cleaner solutions. I’m more worried about farming and chemicals used. Plus, the amount of plastics we use, and the pellet spills in the ocean.
Is this a good time to buy stocks/crypto in the Europe? Making electric cars more affordable would help, but then we have to worry about the pollution from all of the batteries. Sure, let's increase the cost of running a vehicle, so that the poor working class people can no longer afford to drive to work.
You are presumably talking about international, interstate and intercity transport. You may be right about that, although I would argue that is a political, not technological or practical issue at this point. But this absolutely can (and must) happen in urban conglomerations across the globe. It is all a question of local adaptation and implementation of the same basic principles of climate mitigation (and adaptation). Either we get this done, or we're dooming our children to climate catastrophe, to quote the UN secretary general.

Over 95% of Norway's electricity is produced by renewables, mostly hydropower. But I know what you mean because unfortunately Norway is an outlier.
